Having it's 35th Anniversary is the Steven Spielberg film based on Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Color Purple. As you will find out by listening to this episode, both of the Avid Indoorsmen had never seen this 11 time Academy Award nominated film, but it happened to be one of our guest's favorite movies ever, the one and only Emoni Wilkins! First off, we hope you are all safe and healthy during these crazy times. We recorded this before the pandemic really got going, so that's why we don't mention it at all in the episode. We cannot believe TMNT is 30 years old!?! Since this movie and comic franchise has been such a huge part of our lives, it was really a no-brainer that we would do an episode on it. It seemed like the perfect time to do it since it's celebrating it's 30th birthday and it's also on Netflix currently so you can watch while we are stuck inside for who knows how long. We start off the episode discussing the latest movies we've watched that are currently available to rent or stream, what tv we're streaming and our tastiest meals when we were still able to eat at restaurants. We had to bring back one of our favorite guests, one of Rob's buddies from all the way back to his elementary school days and a HUGE TMNT enthusiast, Hollywood actor, J.Michael Trautmann! He was so great on our Rise of Skywalker episode that we had to have him on again to talk about his love for these pizza-loving, butt-kicking turtles!
