Brown was born in New Haven, Connecticut where his show business interest began with magic. He later became interested in the art of ventriloquism and thus combined it with standup comedy. He was inspired by legendary ventriloquist Willie Tyler and Lester from the Motown Revue along with Jay Johnson who played the team of Chuck and Bob on the hit tv sitcom “Soap”. Brown entered college at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. After graduating he relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where he really honed his skills by working at local comedy clubs like The Comedy Connection of Greenbelt, Garvin's, The Comedy Café, and The Improv. He would work along side of Dave Chappelle, Wanda Sykes, and Chris Thomas to name a few. Willie hosted a local tv show called “The Comedy Jam” which was a follow up to “The Soul of Comedy” Willie Brown and Woody now perform largely at churches, theaters, colleges, comedy clubs, and corporate events. Brown and his sidekick have headlined many comedy clubs throughout the country and abroad. They've performed numerous times overseas at U.S. military bases in Korea, Japan, Germany, and Bosnia. They have also performed in England, Amsterdam, South Africa, and the Caribbean. Brown has toured with Cedric The Entertainer, and worked with Steve Harvey, Jamie Foxx, and Mike Epps. He's opened for a number of well known music artists including Boys To Men, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Chaka Khan, James Brown, Gladys Knight, Al Green, The Whispers and more. Willie Brown and Woody can be seen regularly at the World Famous Comedy Store, or the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, California.

Today’s episode in a NNS from September 1st and possibly the 10th, 1994. I have titled it: ‘Radio Hopscotch’ because there’s a lot of skipping from call to call. It appears to be the last hour of the 9/1 broadcast and then we jump ahead to some other September nights and conclude with what is labelled as 9/10. Brian McKinley was producing. I found this whole cassette to be endlessly entertaining. There’s a lot here for me to whet your appetite with. It all begins with a call from Fred in Medford about WHDH. Skip to Norm talking about a pianist who seemed to know how to play every song. 36 musicians in some orchestra with I believe Dave McKenna? Norm sat two tables away from Frank Sinatra! Skip to talking to Robert from Everett! Now we are in for a treat as this is the first of TWO calls from Robert in this episode! Norm was going to be participating in a charity comedy show at the Comedy Connection. Skips to a different caller from Maryland (maybe named Irv?) talking about WBZ history and a question for Norm, “Who were the talent known as ‘The Live Five?’” You’ll have to stay tuned for the answers. Norm had recently spoken to Jess Cain. Norm cites Jess as an inspiration to because of all the wild stuff he would do on WHDH and Norm felt he had to keep up and be wild too. We hear from Charlie in Abington with some broadcasting advice for Norm Then Larry who started listening about a year ago when he began a third shift job as a security guard and loves the show. Norm teases the guest for tomorrow night (kind of) then the kids in the Teen Canteen whoop it up one more time and he sends it to the morning news. Now on to a Jack traffic report and spot for Store 24 Lovell Dyett makes an appearance! Norm talks to Lovell about Sophia Loren and the temptations that are flaunted at big time radio folks. Norm enlightens us on his most recent one. Moving on, here’s Norm introducing Rob Floyd in Traffic but no report because we skip to a caller, Kathy. Fred from NJ talking about a lady who sends him apple pies. The worst he’s ever tasted. He also tells a story about being at a BBQ and overhearing a conversation. The woman, when she was younger, couldn’t go to sleep at night until she checked under the bed. Sparked a conversation where many people there had done the same thing. That prompts Norm to mention a play called ‘Small Wonder’ A very interesting plot that I’m certain you’ll ‘see the point too.’ Norm worries more about walking down a dark city street than living in the woods. Norm has never seen a UFO. Let’s Jump to Norm talking with Jim Morley or Morlia, a toll taker on the Tobin Bridge for 20+ years. We get some insight into the big-time broadcasting dollars he was paid when he began his radio career. Next caller, Tom, says a bad word and apologizes. Tom also said how sorry he was to hear about Norm’s wife Norma passing. She had been gone for nearly three years. Norm tells a great story about Fr. Dick Schmaruk who gave the eulogy at Norma’s services. Next caller, Mike, who believes he met Linda Chase and tells the Howard Stern fans to be nice. Norm teases a guest for the next show and he signs off from another September day. Here’s the next night with Norm talking to traffic reporter Rob Floyd who needs to call Norm’s brother in-law to fix some stuff. Norm takes the blame for Adam and Eve being banished from the Garden of Eden. Suddenly there’s a Jack traffic spot for Exxon and then Jack reports on every work crew in and around Boston. All I’ll say next is Jack, gawkers and cockpit. Norm says he’s the ‘throw-away act&rsquo

We just finished a weekend of live shows and we're here to talk about it! Our first stop was Smodcastle in New Jersey - how did my drive to that neck of the woods go? Then back to our home club, The Comedy Connection, in East Providence, RI! How did things go comically awry, and how much of that was intended? We dish all the dirt! We read some listener emails and answer some probing questions about Christmas before signing off! Have a great holiday season, ya filthy animals!- Brad MP3 Download
We start out by welcoming my new Secret Santa pals to the podcast, as I'm certain they're listening. Chuck accuses me of plying him with alcohol in a bit that I hated immediately. Chuck talks about the move to Staten Island. He waxes ecstatic about the Disney Plus series Hawkeye, which I am not caught up on. Our ecstacy wanes as we discuss the MCU movie "Eternals." At that point, we remember we need to plug our upcoming shows at Smodcastle and the Comedy Connection. Chuck tells me about Ghostbusters: Afterlife, then we talk about the effects of his COVID diagnosis. From there, I talk about my trip to Indiana and the discovery of notes from a high-school sweetheart. Chuck then talks about a possible new sweetheart he encountered at the deli counter at the supermarket near his Staten Island place. We then close with a new segment called "Staton Island," where Chuck talks about how he spends his time at his place in New York to make the lonely hours seem less lonely.- Brad MP3 Download

It hurts to admit but I am facing some battles professionally and emotionally! We loved having Mark Normand on our last episode, and the 2021 Chuck and Brad Podcast Halloween Special is coming next week (plus it's a very rare VIDEO EP featuring old Ray Harrington)! But the truth is - we just didn't have time for a new episode this week. We're sick, we're working like dogs for Chuck and Brad's Halloween Spooktacular 3, Live at the Comedy Connection in RI on Thursday, 10/21/21, so we're reposting one of our favorite Halloween episodes, again, with Ray Harrington.Sorry! We will make up for it! In the meantime, we do have a new episode up on the Pinky Promise Podcast, a mini-ep up with PVD Horror, and I just hosted a two-hour episode of the TESD Tapes with Walt Flangan, Bryan Johnson and Gitem Steve-Dave over on the Tell 'Em Steve-Dave Patreon. But for now, enjoy this spooky episode - I love this one!!!- Chuck MP3 Download
Our Local Spotlight episodes highlight events happening in Rhode Island and neighboring states that our local listeners need to check out. Today we chat with Chuck and Brad, two local comedians and fellow podcasters, who are hosting the Chuck and Brad Spooktacular at the Comedy Connection in East Providence, RI on October 21st. Check the episode for details on this awesome event.
We kick things off with Chuck bragging about his cool new Nerf collection - am I foolish for thinking that if foam darts are rocketing toward my eyes, some glasses might be helpful? Chuck seems to think so! We then answer some listener emails including a big Would You Rather. From there, Chuck tells me about the Val Kilmer documentary "Val" on Prime Video and I agree to watch it soon. After that, he tells me all about his cool Rhode Island Day with TESD mainstay Frank Five and Mrs. Five. Finally, we talk about our recent gig at the Comedy Connection; all the work behind the scenes, everything that went wrong, so many jokes at Ray Harrington's expense, then winning the crowd over with the final bit. The show was a success.- Chuck MP3 Download
This episode of Norm Nathan’s Vault of Silliness is jam packed with a variety of subjects, calls, stories and quick clips. After listening a few times and taking lengthy notes I’ve settled on the following title: Radio Talk about Radio The dates are a bit scattered. August 1st, 7th, 13th and 14th from 1994 and then March 3rd and April 4th 1995. But don’t quote me on that. Three producers cover this one with Adam Wolf, Brian McKinley and later, Mike Epstein. I will do my best to give you a semi-brief summation. The callers with names: Ruth Clennot Rick TWO great calls from Chauncy! Glenn from Brighton with erroneous info and a bad Amish joke Bob with some radio memories Dorothy from Haskell, NJ Mike with more radio memories and Norm gives broadcasting advice A fired-up Fred Paul from Malden discussing Norm’s many talents The excited Kristin in Dorchester Dora and Norm talk about town government Pat from Riverdale, GA and her draining sinuses John in NH who used to work for the old Boston Post And then there’s a handful of callers where we don’t hear their name mentioned who add even more fun to this extravaganza. We have guest stars! Tom Cuddy Ed Mullen Rick Kassiotis And Darrell Gould! PLUS three Jack Harte traffic reports with work crews a-plenty! Norm talks about having to do some stand-up comedy at an upcoming benefit being held at the Comedy Connection. He then lists the dazzling array of other performers that will join him. We get some unabashed commentary from Norm on when he met Abbie Hoffman. Dream jobs, let's talk about them. I don't know how many of you out there have your dream job, I hope most of you do, but my guess is that most of us do not and, worse, we don't even know what a dream job actually looks like. For me, I think it would be my dream job to be able to create great podcast content and assist others to be able to create the content they want to create and actually get paid for it! For Jeni Wren Stottrup, that is everyday life! Jeni runs Gritty Bird Podcasting, which helps people produce the podcasts that they want to produce, and also runs “The Podcaster's Forum” for aspiring mic-jockeys to connect, learn and share with one another. So, Jeni has MY dream job! Am I jealous? Yes! Would I hire her? Absolutely. We talk a great deal about podcasting, since we have both been doing it for a while, and Jeni gives great advice to those that are starting out, as well as those that have been doing it for a while. We also talk about her interesting life philosophy based on her family's background. Nick and Leonard interview the wonderful wizard of comedy Tim Ferrell on today's episode. We first chat about the value of comedy workshops. Then Tim joins us to tell stories about his start in comedy as part of the New York comedy scene, from his first time seeing Gilbert Gottfried perform, to teaching comedy to legends like Ray Romano, Jon Stewart, and Chris Rock. Tim also talks about running shows and comedy workshops from the now-closed Portland, Maine, comedy club the Comedy Connection. Sometimes it’s important to understand your limits. Like setting a budget or knowing how much you can drink at a party before you end up naked and asking people for pony rides… sorry Grandma, your birthday was great! This episode’s guest, Douglas Noll, doesn’t look at limits the same way; he has figured out how to break all of the limits: physically, mentally and has perfected learning in what seems like a superhuman way. Doug Noll was a trial lawyer in California who was tenacious and sought-after all throughout the state. Hating the commute, Doug decided to learn how to fly just to get out of traffic-jams. Ed has been a part of bands and has recently taken up concert jazz. That’s right, took up jazz. For fun. Most recently, he has been a best-selling author and has created a program to help murderers in prison to become experts in diffusing violent situations. If that last sentence doesn’t boggle your mind, I don’t know what will. We talk about learning and how to do it properly, his time as a musician, some of his amazing trial lawyer stories, the time he almost died flying a plane, and then we talk a great deal about his de-escalation techniques and his work with inmates which is absolutely amazing. What makes a movie good? This was a conversation that I recently had and it really blew my mind. The argument was “if a movie is ‘good’ and I can’t keep my eyes open during it, is it good to me?” I had to pause, and completely agree. The movies that I enjoy most are the ones where I am engaged, fully, and feel connected to because they were so entertaining. I hate to admit, but there are a lot of “good” movies that do not appeal to me in any way. You know who would totally agree with that? Michael Gibson and Calvin McCarthy. Why? Because they are producing and creating a movie in Portland right now called “Vampire Mutants from the Planet Neptune” which sounds more like a random word-generator than the title of a movie. But, after talking to these two, I have no doubt that it is going to be a really good movie, at least for me! We talk about putting a movie together, the creative process, being in movies, watching movies… we talk a lot of movies. Calvin has been an actor and director in the Portland area since he was little, and Michael is a producer and focuses on sound, which is near and dear to my heart. And yes, we do talk about hanging dong in a movie. Michael & Calvin developed the production company Video Is The Future and their first production is going to be the aforementioned “Vampire Mutants from the Planet Neptune” where you can join me at the premiere and help support this film! You know that feeling when you walk into a room, maybe it’s a party or other gathering, and you don’t know anyone really and you start to feel the walls pulling you closer until your back is against it? Or, maybe there is a dog or cat around and you decide that would be the best conversational companion? What about a room filled with people you do know? What about a room with one other person? If you still find yourself “shying away” from others, you might be an introvert. This episode’s guest completely understands where you are coming from. Nick Shelton is a world-dominating introvert. What does that mean? It means that despite having what would be considered crippling social anxiety and feeling drained being around people, Nick has found a way to overcome it! And better yet… he can help you if you have similar issues! He wrote a book so you can figure this out for yourself called “An Introvert’s Guide to World Domination” (https://amzn.to/3p6S7t1). He even has a worldwide network of introverts! Wild! We talk about Nick’s 5 engagements (and 2 marriages), the worst lines to use at a party, how to figure out if you are an introvert yourself, what to do with a masseuse who likes your feet too much, and how to watch people in public places without being creepy. Look, it’s hard to do primary research for a book. ’Tis the season for endless holiday specials. I remember torturing my parents by requiring us to all watch the same crappy shows every year… “Here Comes Santa Claus” or “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” or watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade or seeing “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for the upteenth time… it was really a sacrifice because back then we didn’t have more than one TV in the house and it wasn’t like my Dad could watch something else or play on his iPad while I watched “A Very Brady Christmas” again. I’m surprised I wasn’t abused. But now, you can get back at your kids by listening to this on the way to wherever you are going … Let’s start with a Thanksgiving sketch about everyone’s favorite holiday side dish… “It’s a New World Delicacy” Of course, Thanksgiving is great and all… especially when that one uncle with the confederate flag on his truck drinks a little too much and starts a good, healthy conversation about politics… but let’s face it, Thanksgiving only exists so that we can celebrate the holiday that really matters… Black Friday! Here are a couple of sketches that really highlight the pleasant memories of Black Friday’s past… “It’s More Like Brown Friday, You Know What I Mean?” “The Saddest Part of Black Friday” You know it’s time to really hit the holiday gas when Starbucks brings out their holiday cups. Really, how else are you going to know when to start drinking peppermint mochas and put a lid on the pumpkin spice for a year. That’s right, there has never been a year those cups didn’t completely disappoint and cause people to lose their damn minds. “Red Cups” Now we get to the part of the show that is all musical. I’ll just let these go uninterrupted. First up, we have a song about Santa Claus that may have been unexpectedly kinky, then we have another classic that features a celebrity that takes an already rape-y song and makes it more rape-y. After that, we have rock legend Don Henley send mixed signals with his holiday classic and that is followed up by an updated version of “The Grinch” which will likely give you reason to head to UrbanDictionary.com. “The Most Unintentionally Inappropriate Christmas Song of All Time” "Baby It's Coz In Here" “Don Henley’s Most Personal Song Ever” “How The Grinch Stole Innocence” Hopefully all of those wonderful songs got your toes tapping and your voices all prepped, because one of the best things about the holidays is accosting your fellow neighbors with your unprepared voices to regale them with songs that you likely don’t know while they keep their front doors open to the bitter cold. That’s right, caroling! “Carols of the Dumbbells” What is Christmas going to become in the future? Well, we know one thing that will never go out of style… nostalgia. What is nostalgia going to look like in 2036? Kids will be just as disappointed as they are now. “Christmas Nostalgia from the Future” Well, that concludes Sketch Comedy Podcast Show’s End-of-Year One-Hour Holiday Special. I hope you have had a fun time listening, had a wonderful year and have all of your loved-ones near and close to you. Stay warm and enjoy eating all the goodies! I look forward to bringing you more interesting people having intriguing conversations and then improvising comedy sketches based on what we talked about next year and hopefully many years afterwards. As a special special bonus, after the end credits there is a song performed by former co-host Alisha Holland where she purposely does a horrible rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas”. Enjoy! Sketch Comedy Podcast show is an independent and completely improvised sketch podcast that is based on conversations with interesting people like YOU! We welcome all suggestions, and we are always looking for new and interesting people to have on the podcast. As we come back from a wild election day, we kick off the podcast with special guest and cannabis extractor Cali Blaise in the house! The guys kick the show off fresh with the Dr.'s special margaritas for the crew, the guys talk about dogs and the relationships they have with them. E-Zone talks about coming across a dog communicator or medium in the park. QUICKLY Eric Bobo brings up another story from the past where he gave a cat a micro dot of LSD one time. Though it was intentional, the cat started licking his hand when he wasn't paying attention and had a tab there. Eric Bobo describes the cat tripping out and then B-Real recalled that the cat in particular he remembered as a tough alley cat. C-Minus and E-Zone both agree that they think that cats are assholes when it comes to personalities and destructing things. Cali Blaise recalls a time he was attacked by cat and it was caught on a ring camera outside that he had to throw and it ended up breaking multiple things. When it comes to flavors, Cali Blaise brought both flowers and concentrates though for the guys to check out and gave us more info on processes of concentration. Best farmers in the world are in California, so when you work with the best in the world they are definitely here. With a product that comes with a promise that Cali Blaise will make sure you are satisfied with their extracts or get you right. The CRC process done right, Cali Blaise filters waters and refines the process to deliver the best product possible to their supporters. E-Zone and Blaise both got into the Simpson's and their fandom for their real life predictions, E-Zone claiming it as "Cartoon Illuminati". All agreed that South Park was really dope because like the Simpsons, no one ever aged. Blaise brought up later that most people thought that Cypress Hill in NYC, where he is from, was the origins of the group. B-Real describes how New York really did claim and show the Cypress group love as if they were from there. E-Zone reminded his dad, The Dr. himself, that there are many new states that just passed legalization. Blaise touched on how long that process and development it takes to get those measures in order and active. Oregon actually passed legislation that legalized many drugs in this recent election. Donnell Rawlings makes his way to the podcast after a short little break. Immediately the energy gets taken up with Donnell always being the bright energy in a room. With his new "bitch who don't talk back in tow" he has a new dog Many along with him. E-Zone said Donnell was out here naked jokingly and "Ashy Larry" hit E-Zone with that hold up, you are a little too calm tone as the two joked around again. Donnell proclaimed he doesn't speak "Bark" so him and his new dog Magy get along great because she is so small she take little M&M poops. Having an emotional support dog card is like having a medical card E-Zone got into and Donnell lets us know there are some weed guys you can get both from. Donnell lets the podcast know he recommends getting a lap dog if you want to meet new women, lately he has seen success in his own experiences. Donnell tells a story where he gets an upgraded on a Delta flight and the lady next to him has a Saint Bernard next to him on a flight that was uncomfortably close to him, which made him feel like a "white karen" because he complained after his flight for having to sit next to massive dog. B-Real brings up the smackfest videos they have been watching and Donnell remembers when Hot 97 had Smackfest back in the early 2000's and how far the actually matches went, later becoming an international phenomenon. Donnell Rawlings brings up his first gigs at "Comedy Connection" in Greenbelt Maryland. We get so caught-up in the presidential election that sometimes we forget that the most important votes are the ones that affect us locally, such as who is going to be the next person to run the town or city you are in. During the Covid-19 pandemic, local leadership was crucial to help small businesses stay in business and your neighbors to be able to stay in their homes. Local initiatives have immediate effect on our lives. So we need to get to know who is going to be leading us heading into the next couple of years. Travis Stovall believes he is that guy for my hometown, Gresham. He might be right, Travis is a scholar, has a business that helps people find themselves and be able to better deal with others, and is quite possibly one of the most personable people that you will ever meet. I originally invited him onto the show because he has a company called eRep (https://erep.com) that offers something called a CVI (Core Values Index) score which does an incredibly astute job of defining the traits and proficiencies for people. Seriously, it blew my mind, and highlighted for me my biggest strengths and made me aware of the things that I could use help with. Go to https://whatsmyCVI.com and take the 5-minute test and see what you get, I bet it is remarkably. accurate! Then, when I found out that he was going to jump into local politics, I thought it was a perfect time to see how something like the CVI could help someone navigate the different personalities and proficiencies of running a city. You can find out more about his quest for the top seat in Gresham at https://www.travisstovall.com Travis is a really entertaining human, has great stories, and listening to him just feels like you are speaking to someone who has a real grasp on the world. Watch the live recording with Ed here: Remember back to all of those really civil, insightful, and mind-expanding political discussions at Thanksgiving dinner? No? Because they don’t exist—at least not yet. Ed Wynn has spent the last 3 decades trying to help governments and companies find fixes to their problems. He is qualified to do so too, because he is really smart. Ed graduated summa cum laude at the University of Illinois and magna cum laude in law at Georgetown. Throw in the fact that he is a Truman Presidential Scholar and you can see why people are so interested in having him find solutions! The one thing Ed is not is a political insider, and his new book, “We The People” is his attempt to fix political discourse in America by laying out the blueprint to having discussions with your family during Thanksgiving. It’s worth the read just to be able to get through the evening not trying to strangle your uncle! On a personal note, I think this is the gateway to having some real discussions about heavy subjects without anyone blowing a gasket, and the book even includes TL;DR sections at the very beginning for those of us who want to be more enlightened, but also have a fantasy football team to manage. My one regret… I should have asked him more about his biking adventure. If you would like to hear more about it, please let me know. I am certain Ed would be willing to go more in-depth with that. Have you ever just picked up and moved to a big, metropolitan city you have never visited on a whim? How about deciding one day that you need to thrust your fellow generation into informed political discourse? I’m pretty sure you haven’t done either of those things. You are about to meet someone who has. Claire Malkie grew up in Virginia and studied classical acting at Hofstra University. After graduating, someone suggested moving to Chicago and, without skipping a beat, she jumped at the opportunity. Arriving in Chicago ready to tackle the stage, she soon realized that the opportunities were pretty limited, but there were tons of opportunities to do improv. So, she headed back to improv school and started learning and performing at Comedy Court and has worked at a number of festivals. Overhearing a conversation from a peer that included “I don’t really understand politics, so I don’t want to get involved”, Claire realized that she could help change that attitude, which was important to her because she realized that she had the same attitude. To remedy that disinterest, Claire now co-writes and hosts the podcast “Sit Still, Look Opinionated” (https://sit-still-look-opinionated.simplecast.com) which is not just informative and non-biased, but it is also downright funny as she and her co-writer come up with fantastic jokes about the headlines that deserve to be on late-night talk shows. I highly recommend checking it out, whether you are in the know, or are trying to be, or don’t care… because you should. This is an unusual episode! Comedian Robert Kelly kicks off the show with a plug for his upcoming show at the Comedy Connection in East Providence, RI. But then, recorded while in transit from New Hampshire back to the friendly confines of Rhode Island, this episode features longtime pal Katy Johnson. We talk about our trip to New Hampshire - how did we stay safe, what restaurants did we eat at, what natural wonders awed and wowed us, how many things did Katy and Chuck bicker about? Important stuff like that! Learn how I feel about surrendering control to a river's current! And don't forget the BONUS CONTENT recorded in Jersey, as Chuck calls me in the middle of my workday to tell me about his hellacious Holiday Inn experience! - BradMP3 Download

When you were a kid and went out for a walk, you might have attracted mosquitos or flies. Not Dan Ram. Dan attracted Lions. Dan Ram is an accidental event master of ceremonies, has given TEDx talks 5 times and can even show you how to get yourself doing the same thing as a coach. He has met celebrities of all sorts, including being on-stage with Barak Obama, who actually remembered his name even if Dan mispronounced his. We hear about Dan’s childhood run-in with a giant kitty, which is only one of four near death experiences he has had. We get to hear how he accidentally found success through a massive failure, which has led to hundreds of speaking engagements, TEDx talks, and has even been an advisor to the Irish Prime Minister. When not touring the globe MCing events or giving talks, Dan helps others live their lives to their fullest through coaching, and you can find out more about that at iamdanram.com. When you get coffee for other people, where do you put it in your car? And how did that work out for Brad this week? We talk about my instant karma, then Chuck gushes - almost inappropriately so - about his fondness for the show "90-Day Fiance." We talk about new HBO Podcasts and a new EP from The Front Bottoms. Chuck tells me about his night out at the socially-distanced Comedy Connection in Providence, then about meals at Metacom Kitchen, La Pinata, Butterbang Croissants, and Vienna Bakery. Wow! So much food! I talk about my experience watching the Artemis Fowl movie on Disney Plus, we talk about DL Hughley collapsing on stage, and we close with Chuck's affectionate take on the movie "Saving Silverman." - BradMP3 Download

Dave Yablecki is not just any regular management company. He is a man on a mission. Dave Yablecki, a former Financial Planner, was born in Fort William/Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and now resides in Ridgeway, Ontario. He possesses over 35 years’ experience in the areas of Marketing, Promotions, Consulting, Administration, Management, Writing and Website/Graphic Design. In addition, Dave has experience in the creation and revision of Newsletters, and Business and Legal documents, such as Exclusive Distribution agreements, Non-Disclosure agreements, Entertainment Performance Booking agreements, as well as Media Recording contracts. In 2010, Dave launched “The Comedy Gazette,” a comedy publication distributed to restaurants, coffee shops and various other locations. It was this “Comedy Connection” that inspired Dave to begin performing stand-up comedy at various venues in 2011. Shortly afterwards he realized that his experience and skills could be better utilized by marketing and promoting the talented, yet “Undiscovered” Entertainers that he had met during this time. So, he began offering Consulting and Management and services to various Artists and Entertainers, and early in 2016, he launched Super Star Entertainment. http://www.superstarentertainment.net/about-us.html http://www.artistaid.net/
Elliott Barnes and Rocco Hidalgo are local stand-up comedians. If you were at The Comedy Connection this summer you may have seen them perform. We discuss how they entered the comedy world, their influences, and the process of writing new material. The ability to make someone laugh is special and after my discussion with the two, I'm convinced they need a podcast of their own. The Townie Brands Podcast is available on iTunes and SoundCloud.
Body language expert and improv coach Chris Ulrich and I discuss reading the room, turning challenges into opportunities, and the power of comedy.
