Bobby Bonz returns for his second straight week for 2+ hours of gags, drags and audio lags. (JK We edited those last ones out)   This week the boys touch on the movie EVERYONE is talking about Jame's Gunn's "The Suicide Squad" before moving on to the main event.    A follow up to a smash hit, this movie may have ruined a young director's career. That is of course "Gentlemen Broncos", Jared Hess' 2009 feature that was reviewed so poorly, they pulled the movie out of theaters before release. But was this movie unfairly panned by critics and viewers alike? The boys will dig in, and break down their favorite moments from this odd, yet endearing indie flick.    Also in this episode - What If? They boys are back from summer vacation, and bringing back special guest Bobby Bonz for an evening with a cult classic.    Hear what the gang's been watching since we last checked in, before we get into today's feature.   The boys decide to break down a film they've been hesitant to admit they haven't seen before, with "This is Spinal Tap." This week, we're revisiting a beloved movie of our childhood, and wondering where it all went wrong. We're discussing 1994's "Blank Check."   There's a lot to cover from this movie, starting with the obvious issues suspending your disbelief in the plot, but also some parts that surprisingly add up in ways we were not expecting.    Did Brian Bonsall exclusively act in roles where his character had a terrible father?    Was this movie the wake up call he needed to retire from acting at a young age?    Is Tone Loc the true star of this movie?    All this and more on this week's Twitty and the Bran!

Back, bold, and beauifully rendered; Twitty and Bran are on air to break down an adaptation of a beloved book, with Spielberg's "Ready Player One."   A movie not well received by fans of the source material, Twitty was ready to actively dislike this film, but what our theory presupposes is: This movie might actually be pretty good?   But even while enjoying it, this movie raises a lot of questions.    Are we already seeing the beginnings of a massive "Oasis" type VR experience?  What is the point of conscripted manual labor in a video game world.  Have people in this time period lost all sense of shame and embarrassment in the real world?    All these questions and more will be answered on this weeks Twitty and the Bran!

Big Goon Arcuri returns to the show with our most requested movie!   1997 Was a special time for movies. Filled with classics such as Con Air, Face/Off, and The second Jurassic Park, we're discussin a film not remembered quite so fondly. One the lead actor is still apologizing for 24 years later.    That film is Joel Schumaker's "Batman and Robin", and we had a lot of thoughts. Like how miserable is the life of a Mr Freeze henchman, and Is the Bat Black Card the dumbest moment in cinema history?   Stick around for the back half, where we do a special edition of "Top Fives" centered around the films ice puns, of which there is no shortage. 

This week, the boys have Bobby Bonz back on the line to break down the 2014 Stoner comedy "Kid Cannabis." This flick really brings a lot to the table. On one hand we have amazing performances from characters with practically no screen time, and on the other we have some real... let's call them choices, from the leads.  We also bring you the boys top 5 pot movies, and the first Nick Fury Game of season 2! Twit up and sit down, because this episode is gonna drop you like owl s$!t on the forest floor. 

Another Friday, another new episode coming right at ya! First up the boys dig into last weeks Wandavision, breaking down all of the news twists and turns in Westview.  Then they settle in to dissect a little known anthology series, "Oats Studios Vol. 1"

What's this? A episode of a reasonable length? Welcome to Season Two Baby! Twitty and the Bran return from the winter break ready to lay down some high praise for Tarantino's "Django Unchained."  But first they combine their watch lists and top fives into our new favorite yearly Franken-Segment, "America's Next Top Watch Team Six"  

PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN, FATMAN! To top off a tremendous inaugural season, we had to bring the heat with this one. Bobby Bonz returns for a trifecta of season 1 appearances to break down a longtime holiday favorite, and a new entry to the list.  First up we tackle 1996's "Jingle All The Way." From the awful and/or amazing of Arnold as a normal midwestern dad, to a treatise on the meaning of "Going Postal" from Sinbad, this one is a classic that just keeps on giving.  Then we move on to an underappreciated pandemic release that serves as the latest in a long attempt to remind us that Mel Gibson still exists, "Fatman" We want to take this moment to thank all the fans for joining us for a stellar first season, and wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season, no matter what you're celebrating. 

Missing a guest, and hurting for time, the boys stick with one flick for this week's episode.  A true example of a cult classic, we're talking about possibly the best of Director Quentin Tarantino's catalogue: Pulp Fiction 

Bobby Bonz is back for a trifecta of Season 1 appearances, just in time as we're coming near the end of the inaugural regular season of the Friends of TatB Fantasy League.  Bits, and fantasy updates and games ensue, all surrounding today's Flick Pick, "Terror Firmer." Considered the peak of Troma Pictures artistic visions (By Twitty and Twitty alone), this movie challenges our suspension of disbelief, as well as our gag reflexes at times. Somehow an adaptation of a nonfiction book, a murder mystery, and an essay on gender roles all at once, this one leads to some hilarious banter.  " I'm appalled and I love it." " This movies grasp of continuity lacks any continuity." " ... The first of many soft core porn segments, as is Troma tradition." 

Hide ya kids, hide ya wives; cause this one is RAUNCHY! Bobby Bonz Returns for part one of a two part Trash movie special, we had to split it up rather than put out a 5 hour episode. This week we're breaking down a real piece of work with sketch comedy "Movie 43."The gang breaks this one down segment by segment, and are alarmed to find out that some of them watched two entirely different versions of the movie.  "Some people get all of the Dennis Quaid, while the rest of us get none." -Bernie Sanders

This week the boys welcome Justin Emery of "Just in Time" to the show, continuing on in the Friends of Twitty and the Bran Fantasy League interview series. This week they're tackling tech bro biopics First up is an extensive look at a visionary and toxic personality in "Jobs." The gang is somewhat split on whether or not the top notch performances make up for a script that sometimes feels slow and formulaic, and Twitty can't stop comparing it to the better version "Steve Jobs." Later on they'll dive into 2009's biopic of The Zucc, and Facebook at large "The Social Network." The clear winner of favorite among today's films with the group, this one took center stage in the conversation. From a dynamic but nuanced Jesse Eisenberg performance, to just being impressed at the sheer level of being the worst that Zuckerberg is capable of, they break this one all the way down. Also:Top Five, Hold the Jive Returns,Another edition of The Nick Fury GameAND MORE! '

This week the boys welcome guest Johnny Chambers as they take on a real unlikely pairing of films.  First up is the 1999 cult classic "The Boondock Saints" from writer/director Troy Duffy. Drawing comparisons to Tarantino, this one has been a staple in the Twitty/Johnny Chambs watch catalogue for a long time. Despite not being the main character, a whole lot of this discussion surrounds Willem Dafoe, and his "Chaotic Nick Cage Energy" Next up we wanted to show John a little something he hadn't seen before, so we had to "Set it Off." A hard hitting ensemble cast flick, this movie doesn't take a breath for exposition or filler once in it's 2 hour runtime. Truly packed with memorable performances, the gang debates who their pick for star of the movie is, and enjoy some truly superb over the top acting from John C McGinley and Queen "Heist Cube" Latifah.  Bullets. Banks. Battlestar Galactica

After a week off Twitty and Bran are back with a special edition to top off Spooktober.  Welcome back Big Chris Arcuri back to the show, as we take on a Halloween classic, and a true original. First up they're diving into the John Carpenter classic "The Thing." A staple of the genre, this one has been homaged to death, to the point that if you haven't scene it, you still kinda have. The gang also gets hung up on the similarities between this flick and the current sensation "Among Us" Rounding out the show, we take of 2014's "Tusk." The world may never know why Kevin Smith decided to make a bunch of horror movies one day, but if you're listening to Twitty it was a quality decision. However the opinions vary as they pick apart the truly gruesome body horror feature. 

This one's got girth! This week, the guys welcome special guest Zach Delisi for their longest episode yet.  First up, we're going to take a dive into one of the all time great experimental films, with 2001's "Donnie Darko" Ultimately we leave this discussion with more questions than answers, which is somehow still possible after having seen the movie a multitude of time. Topics include, but are not limited to; Is Frank some type of omnipotent being throughout the movie, is Grandma Death also a time traveler, and Where is our second sequel concerning Donnie and Gretchen's time baby? After that, we're kicking the insanity up a notch by talking about the 1991 cult classic "Drop Dead Fred." Which may have left Twitty more confused than even Donnie Darko could, which is certainly saying something. All this and more on this week's Twitty and the Bran!

This week we're taking on two movies that are some of the bloodiest, most violent works to ever feature the Marvel logo. First up we'll head to *checks notes* Tampa for some reason, in order to break down 2004's "The Punisher." A tale of two halves, this movie has so much origin story jammed into the first half it's basically a prequel. Rounding out the show we'll dive into another bloody revenge flick, with "Deadpool." Easily the funniest movie in the vast pantheon of Marvel flicks, we'll see how this one continues to hold up a few years since it's release.  All that and more this week!

This week, a special guest from the Friends of Twitty and the Bran fantasy league stops by for league update, and stays for the fun as we dive into a special Football episode.  First up the team throws out some top 5 lists for the greatest pigskin flicks of all time. After that they get down to business with today's content First up we're heading to the yard, "The Longest Yard" that is. Taking us back to an era when they MTV Films logo was all too common, this one proved to still be a fun Adam Sandler outing 15 years after it's release.  Following up on that we tackle 2000s "The Replacements" and opinions are pretty split. Did John Madden do this movie because he needed money? And could they have made this movie without Gene Hackman by just CGIing some of his footage from "Hoosiers" in?  All this and more on this week's outing!

This week, Twitty and the Bran are breaking down what you could argue are the world's worst adaptations.  First up, we have M Knight Shyamalan's horrid attempt at bringing a timeless classic to the big screen with "The Last Airbender". What was M Knight thinking with the racial casting choices in this movie? Do people hate this movie too much? Did he realize how bad of a movie he made when he refused to use the full title? Rounding out the show with some content we actually enjoyed, we take a dive into 2001's "A Knight's Tale" From top notch casting to out of place twists to the sword and stoicism format, this flick delivers a memorable, if some times confusing 2 hour runtime. But the main question we find ourselves asking is How much anachronism is too much when it's on purpose?

These are the voyages of the Podcast Twitty and the Bran. It's continuing mission; To seek out exciting content, and strange new shows. Boldly going where no man has gone before.  This week's episode is the culmination of a two year plan by Twitty to indoctrinate Bran to the wonders of the Star Trek Fandom. First up, we have Star Trek (2009). The first of the Abrams trilogy, this one often leaves a bad taste in the mouth of long time Trek fans. We take the good and the bad, and the nonsensical; and pass the bits on down to you! Following up on that, we have a handful of some of the best episodes The Next Generation has to offer. Featuring an omnipotent troublemaker, a very heavy handed metaphor for the USSR, and Riker in full bearded glory; these episodes are the final nail in the coffin that represents Bran's journey to the fandom. 

Shorter ep than usual coming at you this week due to some issues getting the rights to a planned rerelease.  This week we're dicussing the first three episodes of "The Boys" Season 2, as well as the inaugural Friends of Twitty and the Bran fantasy football league.

Alternatively known as "The Public Transit Special" The boys are back in studio, and they're back to content of the feature length variety. First up is a blockbuster from 1994. Starring Keanu Reeves and Sandy Bullock, we have a need, a need for "Speed." Faced with such questions as what happened to the deadman trigger? and was that the nicest dressed homeless woman in LA,? Twitty and Bran ultimately decide to just let go and get fully pumped for this one.  Following that up is a quick dive into a movie that is somehow both dystopian and fashion forward. We ask "The Warriors" to come out and play, and settle in for a breakdown of this New York's quirky and ineffectual gangs. Can You Dig It? 

This week, the boys handle some historical fiction, in miniseries form. From the depths of Stephen King's brain comes "11.22.63."  A period piece with Sci Fi bookends, this one is a personal favorite of Twitty and the Bran, and well worth the watch before listening.

This week, Twitty and the Bran are tackling films about tortured geniuses.First up we have "The End of the Tour". Chronicling the meeting of famed writer David Foster Wallace and Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky; this flick is a gripping character study that effects us on a deeply personal level. Sure to balance it out with some laughs, we move on to discus "A Futile and Stupid Gesture." Detailing the rise of Comic writer Doug Kenney, and the massively successful National Lampoon brand, this one gives us some comedy to work with, while still diving into nuanced character study of a brilliant, tortured mind. 

Back from vacation and raring to go, our first movie selection, "Cool as Ice" brings the excitement to an immediate halt. But it's for your benefit as we pick apart as much of that travesty as we possibly can in 40 minutes, to great amusement. Following up with something actually worth watching, Twitty and Bran dive into "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping". We brief you on Twitty's longtime love of The Lonely Island, and how this movie is somewhat an allegory to their careers. 

The boys keep the theme tight this week, with an episode lovingly teased as "The Korean Train Special" Welcoming Chris "Big Goon Arcuri back to the show, the gang tackles two high paced thrill rides with"Train to Busan" and "Snowpiercer".
