When you've been busy creating, writing and starring in TV shows and films for a couple of decades, who has time for a hobby? That's been the case for Mark McKinney. This son of a diplomat moved around a lot as a lad and says comedy has always been his hobby. Together with Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCullough and Scott Thompson, he's been performing on stage, film and television as one of the Kids in the Hall since the late 1980s. McKinney also spent a couple of seasons as a writer-performer on Saturday Night Live, helped create, write and act in Slings & Arrows, and appeared in shows such as Man Seeking Woman and Son of a Critch. He also was the showrunner on Less Than Kind and for six seasons co-starred as manager Glen Sturgis on the NBC sitcom Superstore. That didn't leave much room for stamp collecting or skeet shooting. On Mark McKinney Needs a Hobby (Wednesdays on CTV and streaming on Crave), McKinney tries birding, fly fishing, puppetry and even tackled hockey playing robots. He's joined by guests such as comedians Margaret Cho and Deb DiGiovanni, singer Billy Newton-Davis, Superstore co-star Ben Feldman, food critic James Chatto and Muppet puppeteer Trish Leeper. As you'll see in episode one, however, he drew the line when it came to tattooing. Holly Deveaux (born in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress with documentary film-maker parents. She was determined to be an actor since a very young age, and at thirteen finally began auditioning and securing roles. Throughout high school, Deveaux worked on a series of projects. 'Victoria Day' was her first leading film role, premiering at Sundance Film Festival. Following that, she secured the lead role of the Family Channel TV Show 'Baxter'. Deveaux then went on to have leading roles in series such as Netflix's 'Hemlock Grove', CTV's 'Spun Out', HBO's 'Less than Kind', and many more. Her next independent film, 'Big Muddy', premiered to positive reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival. Her performance in the Emmy-nominated television film 'The Phantoms' garnered praise from The Globe and Mail's John Doyle, who remarked: "Outstanding is Deveaux as Tess, the most complex and troubled of the teenagers. Deveaux (last seen in Less Than Kind) is luminous, her pale face subtly registering every hurt, every worry and every insult that comes her way..." Since then, Deveaux has secured a series of roles and continues to work in Canada and the US, most recently on CBS's 'Macgyver' and Hulu's 'Future Man', where she played the role of Marilyn Monroe. We found him! The man who came up with Bob Loblaw's law blog on Arrested Development. Had to be a Canadian, right? Chuck Tatham, from Listowel in southwestern Ontario, has had a stellar career in Canada and the U.S., writing and producing such shows as Less Than Kind, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family.Lately he's been executive producing Children Ruin Everything and the animated series Central Park. He was also previously involved in a couple of fondly-remembered one-season wonders: Andy Barker, P.I. and Back to You. Hear him on how one show led to another, as well as on a new project which brought him back across the border again: "Offside: The Harold Ballard Story." Yes, this is Part II of a podcast from earlier this week featuring Tatham's fellow EP's, Michael Geddes and Jason Priestley. Tatham still hopes to spin Ballard's outrageous adventures into a series based on his pilot script. Paging John Goodman in the lead, I say. In the meantime, enjoy story after story from this talented and very funny Canadian writer-producer -- including the daytime show he most loved to watch as a child whenever he managed to stay home sick from school.

Being able to navigate a saturated industry as both a singer/songwriter and actor is a delicate balance. In this conversation, you'll hear from Brooke just how she's navigated going in and out of the entertainment industry, how she rekindled her love for her craft and just what it takes to stay in the game as long as she has been. There is nothing unsual about this slightly shorter than normal episode at all. Nope, nothing strange in the slightest. Nothing unusual at all. Nope. But it does have all four guests being their usual bickering selves, and some terrific series. And about half a good song from Scape before it gets really lame. Featuring: Epic Echoes, Series 4, Episode 3: "In Love and Hate," featuring the fallout from a Flashpack/Flashpack embroglio, and some serious hatred; Rory St. John's This Day in History and update Where Are They Now In History, with the previously unrevealed origins of DVDs; Decker and Hayes, Series 3, Episode 06: "Less Than Kind," wherein Macy has to save the person she least would like to; a Frank Allen Interview with Senator Smith-Smith, senator and game show host from the future, discussing the David Letterman bombshell; WTH, STILL no listener mail; completely accurate talking from the hosts.
