Time for BikeLive to take a fun look back at the epic 2018 World Superbike Season, where Jonathan Rea dominated, Ducati fell off a cliff, half the field is out of a job, and Tom Sykes initiated war! Oh and joining Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby, is British Eurosport and ITV4 British Superbikes host Greg Haines, for 90+ minutes of round-by-round breakdowns, behind the scenes factoids, and some of the extra spice that made 2018 so interesting! Enjoy!
Okay, not gonna lie here folks, this is the biggest #BikeLive of the year, clocking in at nearly 137 minutes, tackling a mad Sepang weekend in Malaysia for MotoGP's final flyaway round, and some shock out of World Superbikes! Here's a rough setlist: - Rossi/Marquez 2, only not really as Valentino Rossi tries and fails his best Lorenzo impression upfront. - Alex Rins is the 3rd best rider in the world since the break. No seriously, how do Suzuki have 8 podiums?! - Pecco and the best/worst celebration ever as he wrapped up the Moto2 title. Oh, and Luca "Not just Rossi's half-brother" Marini won his first GP! - Martin is as ludicrous as his nickname, he wraps up Moto3. Sadly, "The Martinator" will never catch on. - Ducati are having a team meeting, a round before their 5-time World Champion pisses off. Gotcha. - And a 221bhp V4 Panigale is the THIRD maddest World Superbike story of the day. HRC. BMW. Factory backing. The day World Superbikes came back from life support? All that and more on an epic BikeLive with Dre Harrison and Louis Suddaby!
For the first time in nearly 40 years, MotoGP cancelled an entire weekend, and Louis Suddaby and Andre Harrison break it all down. From the badly bodged resurfacing of the track and the lack of draining, to Tito Rabat shattering his leg and essentially taking one for the team, we ask what led to this point, break down the timeline of the cancellation, of the weekend, and look to the future of the GP as the rumours about Donington persist. We also talk all the news, as Alvaro Bautista heads to World Superbikes, and Petronas unveiled their new squadron too. Enjoy, and we'll be back for... something, next week.
NOTE: This was recorded after William Dunlop's passing, but before James Cowton's passing, which will be addressed on next week's show. Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby return for a Superbike Sunday edition of #BikeLive as we had BSB at Knockhill and World Superbikes hit up Misano before their 9 week break! Jonathan Rea took yet another double but he really had to work for the Race 2 win as only .6 covered him, Marco and Michael over the line! And in BSB, it was Leon Haslam and Jake Dixon who split wins in Scotland, and Danny Buchan took a big step forward with two third places as well! Enjoy!
BikeLive is back, right in the middle of the biggest war of words to ever come out of the Kawasaki camp! Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby look back on the Eurosport weekend at Laguna Seca, and review not just the racing, but also a controversial double interview British Eurosport conducted with both Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes before the weekend started, with words so heated, Kawasaki themselves didn't even know it had happened! Sykes, blew a gasket! We also review the racing, with another double victory from Jonathan Rea, Chaz Davies with two second places, and Eugene Laverty back on the podium for the first time since returning to the series. We also preview Assen's TT for MotoGP this weekend, enjoy!
Lorenzo lays the hammer. Welcome back to #BikeLive as Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby review the action from a packed weekend in Catalunya, and at Snetterton! In Moto2, Fabio Quartararo shocked the world with his shock first ever GP wins, with Miguel Oliveira going from 17th to 2nd in a brilliant comeback... before Simone Corsi punted him after the race was over! In MotoGP, Jorge Lorenzo won back-to-back in another dominant weekend for the the 99, as Marc Marquez recorded from another superhuman save to finish 2nd, as a war of attrition broke out. And in Moto3, Jorge Martin blew a comfortable lead and Enea Bastianini won a glorious shitshow as championship leader Marco Bezzi starts to turn the crew. Also, we review BSB in Snetterton as Leon Haslam took another double to extend his winning streak to five, as rivals Bradley Ray falls twice, collecting Glenn Irwin in Race 2 in the process. Enjoy and come back next week for a World Superbikes in Laguna Seca review!
BikeLive is back! Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby break down all the news from Brno and World Superbikes! Jonathan Rea made yet more history with his record-breaking 60th victory in the sport, beating Carl Fogarty! He then clashed with Sykes in Race 2 in what was the most heated moment of the 2018 season to date! We also had Alex Lowes taking his first World Superbike win in said Race 2, with Melandri and Sykes making critical errors, and Aprilia having their best weekend of the season. In Supersport, the great wall of Jules Cluzel was forged again, as he held off Sandro Cortese for his 3rd win in 4 rounds, and another chaotic Supersport 300 race, with a Yamaha actually winning after a rule change. Shocking. Also, a preview for MotoGP in Mugello and BSB in Snetterton. Enjoy!
So, pretty quiet 10 days huh? Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby are back to break down another ridiculous weekend in bike racing as MotoGP headed back to Mugello, the blue ribbon event on the calendar! In MotoGP, it was Jorge Lorenzo who at the 24th time of asking, would become just the 7th man to ever win for multiple manufacturers, and he'd do it in dominant fashion. Andrea Dovizioso made it a 1-2 for the Ducati team, with a dream pole for Rossi being converted into 3rd as Marquez crashed from 2nd! In Moto2's race of the year, Miguel Oliveira used his smarts to win a tight race with Iron Balda, Joan Mir and Francisco Bagnaia in a leading group of 4! And in Moto3, Jorge Martin won a great tactical dogfight with Fabio DiGi and Marco Bezzechi, with the mega scrap being for 4th! We also break down the maddest week in MotoGP silly season history! Pedrosa retiring? Lorenzo to Repsol Honda? Petrucci to Ducati! Iannone to Aprillia! It's all broken down here in a 135 minute special edition of #BikeLive!
Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby are back with another heaped BikeLive! We talk Moto3 as time penalties dominated the headlines, as DiGi was robbed of his first win, and Jakub Kornfeil took flight... and survived! MotoGP came around and Marc Marquez stole the fields lunch money as Andrea Dovizioso and Johann Zarco made critical errors, and Pramac picked up the scraps with Petrux 2nd and Miller 4th! And we also have Greg Haines back on the show with an extended 40 minute interview (at 1:21:29) talking all things World Superbikes and the season so far! From Kawa vs Ducati, to the most stacked Supersport field ever, to the mayhem of the SSP300 class! Enjoy!
Jerez has always been a bit of a fracas huh? In this episode of BikeLive, Louis Suddaby, Andre Harrison and Ryan King break down some of the biggest clashes the sport has seen at the legendary circuit de Angel Nieto, as well as talk heavily on the news of Johann Zarco heading to KTM's Factory Team for 2019!
Only three things in life are certain, Death, Taxes, Marc Marquez winning at the Circuit of the Americas for the 6th time, and the 10th consecutive Marquez win in the USA. He fits in, he likes left turns. Anyway, we'll break down all the weekends action, from the blocking penalty that enraged Twitter, to Andrea Iannone's shock return to the podium, his first with Suzuki! Also more on Crutchlow's lost title lead, and the future of the race at COTA itself! We also talk Moto2 and Moto3 as Pecco Bagnaia broke Alex Marquez to take a hard-fought intermediate class victory, and Jorge Martin broke the tow of Enea Bastianini to take HIS 2nd win of 2018. All that with Andre Harrison, Louis Suddaby and special guest, the Hooniverse's Patrick Hoffstetter. Enjoy, and check back for Episode #57 on Tuesday!
The old guard returned in a mad Superbike Sunday on #BikeLive with Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby! This episode covers all of British Superbikes at Brands Hatch Indy this past weekend, and the World Superbike Championships return to Aragon. In the former, Bradley Ray proved his human and gifted Shakey a late win, before Leon Haslam dazzled in the wet to narrowly pip Glenn Irwin in a wet Race 2. As for Worlds, Jonathan Rea pulled off one of the most subtly impressive wins in Race 1, before Chaz Davies bullied him into a Race 2 victory! All that and more on #BikeLive!
You know it was kind of a crazy one, when Cal Crutchlow, the surprise winner of the race, wasn't mentioned until the second hour of the show. Welcome to the most heated edition of #BikeLive since the switch. Marc Marquez loses his head, Jack Miller gets screwed on a pair of sudden weather changes, and Alex Rins finishing 3rd barely cracks the Top 10 of crazy shit that went down in Argentina. Check in with Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby as they review one of the maddest MotoGP races ever, with Moto2 and 3 Reviews, as well as previews for World Superbikes in Aragon and British Superbikes at Brands Hatch's Indy layout!
A large Ray of sunshine, on an otherwise cloudy day... Episode #53 of #BikeLive with Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby review the opening round of the 2018 British Superbike Championship from Donington Park, and it was a massive shock to see Bradley "The Milkybar Kid" Ray, win his first and second races in the series in a dominating double! We also talk about the mixed fortunes of many riders in the field, like Shakey, more tyre woes for Haslam, James Ellison's great 2nd in Race 1 before a Race 2 crash, Josh Brookes way down the order, and much more! We also preview MotoGP in Argentina this weekend, and roast Aron Canet over an open fire for his... "interesting" riding in FP1. See you next week for a full review of Argentina!
This is certainly not last year, eh? BikeLive returns with Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby and this week, they review the Thai round of the World Superbike Championship. On paper, it was straightforward with Jonathan Rea and Chaz Davies splitting wins, but in-depth, it's a lot more interesting. Rea struggling when normally so dominant in Race 2, Melandri not channelling PI. Camier nearly sniffing the podium on a much improved Honda. Fores a legit contender? Yamaha still not where they want to be either. All that, and a barmy World Supersport race with Lucas Mahias getting "Krummancher'ed" for the victory, but still missing a certain Turk! And as a special bonus, we got Greg Haines from British Eurosport to join us for a catch-up on the season so far! Enjoy, and see you next week for the first round of the 2018 British Superbike title!

Moto3 had Martin and Canet have a 1-on-1 dogfight with Dalla Porta leading another colossal scrap! We also preview the upcoming 2018 British Superbike Season. Shakey may be favourite for an unprecedented 7th title, but Leon Haslam, Josh Brookes and even some surprise names like the Honda's, Christian Iddon and Jake Dixon are sure to be in the mix! All that and more on Episode 51 of #BikeLive!
50 episodes already huh? That's nuts! Thanks everyone! In this episode, Andre Harrison and Louis Suddaby break down the runners and riders in Moto2 and Moto3 heading into the season opener this weekend. In Moto2, Miguel Oliviera enters as the favourite but he might be fighting in the most stacked Moto2 season ever with Pasini, Marquez, Lowes and more potentially getting in the mix. In Moto3 the favourites seem to be Aron Canet, Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini but... its Moto3, anything can happen, especially if KTM are stronger than last year! Listen to us break it all down here on #BikeLive!

Well, here we are. 50 episodes. Yikes. When this show first started in October 2014, it was just a 10 episode University assignment. And now, here we are, nearly 2 years later, celebrating episode Fiddy. You are the best audience a guy could ever wish to ask for. So on behalf of King, AJ and me, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting us into your ears. You guys are the best. Special thanks to: Zara Daniela - The artist you see every episode, she kicks so much ass. Emily de Silva - Bigtime editor for us on video. All our special guests over the last 50, Sarah Connors, Sascha Wagenblast, Crekkan, Louis Suddaby, and even Scott Woodwiss (I'm kidding, Scott). All our Patreon backers and merch buyers! And that was just the radio bullshit), we answer YOUR questions, talk about the Robot Wars reboot and find out who won the International Fantasy Draft! So again, massive thanks for 50 episodes. Love you all. Dre

First up, before anything else, a hearty thank you to you, the #DreNation for supporting this show. This was originally a University project, and it scored at 80% yesterday, meaning I got a first! Seriously, I’m over the moon and I couldn’t have done this without my web designer Stephanie Hunter, my co-hosts Sascha Wagenblast, Gino Van Den Broceke, Scott Woodwiss and of course, my partner in crime, Ryan King. You all are amazing. In this stacked episode, we talk about all the recent F1 news, such as Raikkonen wanting more danger in F1, the fuel-saving and complaining about car difficulty and fuel saving after a mediocre Canadian GP, which we also review. We also tackle MotoGP in Mugello as Jorge Lorenzo strolled to a 3rd consecutive victory, ahead of a very lucky Andrea Iannone. We also talk about Simone Corsi’s idiocy against Sam Lowes in Moto2 and Miguel Oliviera’s first Moto3 victory, making history for Portugal. And we talk about IndyCar in Detroit and Texas as Carlos Munoz took his first IndyCar win, alongside Sebastian Bourdais in a thrilling Race 2, and Scott Dixon’s Texas 600 victory, as well as discuss THAT story about what happened when me and Sage Karam butted heads on Twitter… and I won. I should get a night with his girlfriend as a prize… But enjoy the longest Motorsport 101 show to date with me, Ryan King, and a new co-host in Downforce Radio’s own Louis Suddaby, my radio husband. Enjoy!
Surprise, motherf***ers! I got a bonus episode of the Podcast for you! Can anything stop Marc Marquez? Will Jorge Lorenzo bounce back? Are Ducati actually really good again? And where do Suzuki fit in? And will Becks ever stop going loopy over the Lowes brothers? All important questions that mostly get answered over the course of the 130 minute run time! Oh, and if you liked this edition of the show, please, listen in LIVE on Downforce Radio every Friday Night live at 8pm! Thanks for listening!
Okay, got to be totally honest here, this isn’t really a show for me, this was a show for Downforce Radio. But I produced it, so its technically mine, so I thought, why not do double duty!
