The gang is all back from the West Coast swing, though we are still down Freddie while he rests his vocal cords up — and this week we invited Mr. Smile himself, Chris Rice, CEO of Kaulig Racing, to join us! We start off by getting background on Chris, the time he spent working with Tommy Baldwin, and everything that Kaulig Racing currently has going on. After that, they dish about Sonoma and the races that took place there over the weekend, which was AJ Allmendinger's 500th Career Cup start. But before we got into Spot On, Spot Off, we had to ask him about the elephant in the room — the rumor of Dodge going Cup racing in 2027. The topics the Door Bumper Clear crew debated this week included: Will SVG make the 2026 Chase? More Hocevar drama... Connor Zilisch's move to stay out for Stage 2 in the O'Reilly Race NASCAR's newest change with the foam inserts coming out of the Cup cars' bumpers Should Chicagoland be on the 2027 schedule? To close out the show, we had a fan call in blaming Hocevar for his relationship status, we ask Chris about his passionate personality, and we rattle off the winners from around the racing world. In case you've been living under a rock this week, we've had ourselves a week here at Dirty Mo Media — so why don't we take the best 30 mins, package it into a highlight show, just like we do every week. Deal? Deal. We start off with Dirty Air, where Carson "The Hurricane" Hocevar plays host for Dale Jr. while he's out doing something or other in California in between San Diego & Sonoma. Carson dives into the incident between him and first-time winner Corey Heim, the celebration the fans missed out on, and... oh yeah, Cleetus calls in. Next up, Denny Hamlin discusses the final battle between his two drivers, Tyler Reddick & Corey Heim. Did Tyler do the right thing by letting Corey go? DH's answer might surprise you. On Business of Motorsports with Kelley Earnhardt Miller, CEO of Lionel Racing, Howard Hitchcock explains the process of getting diecasts into consumers' hands, and how it takes longer than you might think. Lastly, Ray Evernham was a guest on Door Bumper Clear, along with Bozi Tatarevic, and we asked Ray when he knew Jeff Gordon was a star. That's all for this week! See you next time on Dirty Thirty. A driver with six championships somehow flew under the radar as a big-race threat — until a $100,000 win last weekend changed the conversation entirely. We make the case for who the most dangerous sprint car driver in the country really is, plus new details on the Troutman-GR Smith split and a loaded weekend of racing ahead.
Naval Base Coronado produced not only breathtaking scenics, but compelling racing and a first time NASCAR Cup winner. This week on the Gluckcast, motorsports reporter Jeff Gluck sits down with that winner, none other than Corey Heim, to chat about his monumental victory and what the celebration has been like. He also chats with Frontstretch's Dalton Hopkins to discuss his viral video capture of Noah Gragson and Kevin Magnussen's post race confrontation. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Christian Lundgaard might have parked his car in victory lane this past weekend at Road America, but he had an epic journey to get there. Our resident open wheeler Conor Day was in Elkhart Lake taking in the action, and he's back on Speed Street this week to recap the race. He and Producer Bobby discuss Christian's lap one contact with Scott Dixon, his heroic drive through the field, Alex Palou's pit road trouble and Marcus Armstrong's tragic engine failure. Also, silly season is ramping up as Felix Rosenqvist announces that he won't be returning to Meyer Shank Racing in 2027. Road America's runner-up finisher David Malukas joins the show to speak on his great performance in 2026 and his time so far with Team Penske. David reflects on a difficult second place finish at this year's Indianapolis 500, and how he's learning a lot from his Penske teammates Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin. Finally, David looks ahead to the rest of the year and what he can do to continue his strong performance and chase down Alex Palou for the championship. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Kelley Earnhardt Miller welcomes Howard Hitchcock and Richard Barry, the CEO and COO of Lionel Brands Group, to the Business of Motorsports for a conversation that pulls back the curtain on one of NASCAR's most beloved and misunderstood businesses. What most fans see as a toy or a souvenir is actually the product of a 12-to-18-month process involving complex CAD data from OEM tech centers, hand-applied waterslide decals, Chinese factory peak seasons, and approval chains that run through teams, NASCAR, Goodyear, and every single sponsor on the car. Howard and Richard break down why scarcity is not a bug but a feature, how the collapse of single-sponsor deals reshaped the entire product line, and why getting confetti placement right on a Chase Elliott victory car matters more than most people would ever imagine. They also get personal, talking about what drew Richard to invest in a brand with 126 years of history, why Howard collects presidential china, and how a three-year-old kid getting a diecast signed at a fan event captures everything this hobby is actually about. If you have ever wondered how a win on Sunday becomes a collectible in your hands months later, this is the conversation that explains it all. My biggest gripe across the sport of dirt racing, and really mostly focused on sprint car racing, is something that happens, or actually doesn't happen, at all of the sport's crown jewel events. I don't understand it, I don't like it, it happened this weekend at Huset's, it's already happened previously this year, and as the prestige of the events ramps up this summer, it's going to happen more.

Why didn’t we do this sooner! Rusty catches up with Bathurst and former Super 2 champion Todd Hazelwood for a gripping convo. His Dad’s Desert Racing and why “Rusty” traded the bike to Hill Climb a special family car. Todd begins his own racing journey on dirt and is immediately hooked. Moving to bitumen and coming up against a young Cam Waters and Anton de Pasquale. Making ends meat….that’s not a typo….how Todd and the family began Sausage Sizzle fundraising to keep the dream alive. Formula Ford learnings and Formula 3 fascination. And where Todd gets his unwaivering belief from even when the Mountain seems impossible to climb to the rest of us. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah discuss if Formula 1 is broken...and if Carlos Sainz's fix is one of many possibilities. In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah dive into one of the wildest ideas in Formula One: what if drivers had to switch teams every few races? Inspired by Carlos Sainz's suggestion, the discussion gets into the biggest question in modern F1 — is the sport still too dependent on the car, or can the driver be brought back to the center of the championship? The conversation explores how much of Formula One is about engineering, team politics, brand identity, and raw driver talent. From Lewis Hamilton's resurgence at Ferrari to the dominance of Red Bull, the hosts debate whether equal cars, simpler machinery, shorter setup time, and reduced in-season development would create more exciting racing. They also compare F1 with MotoGP, IndyCar, WRC, and Formula 2, asking what Formula One could learn from other motorsport categories. This is a fun, high-energy, and opinionated deep dive into the future of Formula One — and whether the sport should lean more toward spectacle, fairness, or engineering excellence. The episode also features reactions to fan comments and plenty of back-and-forth on some seriously outrageous ideas, including reverse grids, equal engines, and even team-wide driver rotation. If you love Formula One debates, racing opinions, and bold takes on how to make the sport more entertaining, this episode is for you.

For 2026 late model speedweeks, we saw the World of Outlaws zag on years of cooperation and schedule a race weekend directly against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series opener. The move drew mixed opinions at the time, and it split cars in Florida and forced teams to make early decisions on what tour they would follow. No more games on signing up for both series, and deciding later in the spring. I assumed this would be the case again for 2027, but something curious happened this week. We'll dive into that today on DIRTRACKR Daily presented by Horsepower Hydration, which also includes big news for Hunt the Front, we'll also talk sprint cars at Huset's and Skagit, and more.

Send us Fan MailScott Rehn joins the podcast to discuss his colorful career across multiple motorsports disciplines—from motocross and late-model dirt track racing to short-course off-road, water skiing, Monster Jam, and beyond. Learn how an unplanned career launch led to decades in broadcasting. Early Racing Years Scott tried motocross as a teenager but found his true passion in late-model stock car racing. At just 17, a car appeared in his driveway—courtesy of a customer at his dad's grocery store—launching him into racing with zero experience. After five years racing dirt tracks, the grocery store closed and Scott shifted to spectating and crew work. The Off-Road Discovery His sister Valerie's success racing short-course trucks led Scott to Crandon Speedway, where he instantly fell in love. He describes feeling the ground move during the races—a moment that "hooked" him on the sport forever. Broadcasting Breakthrough Originally a professional water skier and announcer, Scott reluctantly filled in as a short-course race announcer when the regular crew needed a break. His mother literally dragged him to the booth. That one weekend led to an ESPN2 opportunity with Marty Reed, launching a broadcasting career that took him from pit reporting to stadium racing to Monster Jam. Highlights Across Sports Scott's career spans watercross (snowmobiles racing on water), stadium off-road championships, Red Bull Frozen Rush in Sweden, King of the Hammers, and nearly 20 years with Monster Jam. He's worked alongside industry legends including Jimmie Johnson. From California to Oklahoma After the CORE series ended, Scott relocated to Oklahoma, where he now works as a brand ambassador and semi-truck driver for a Ford Racing marketing company, hauling NASCAR rigs. He's transitioned from TV to radio work but remains passionate about the off-road sport that started it all. Support the show

Break/Fix Podcast's mission is to preserve automotive living history and welcomes returning co-host Don Weberg from Garage Style Magazine alongside guest Wallace “Wally” Wyss, a longtime automotive writer turned fine artist. Wally recounts how early exposure to GM design chief Bill Mitchell and a British magazine feature on the Iso Grifo shifted him from poetry and art studies into advertising and then automotive journalism, including stints at Car Life and MotorTrend with vivid Sunset Strip stories. He explains how a chance ride in a 427 Cobra led to meeting Carroll Shelby, and launching a best-selling Cobra book and deep Shelby insights about Shelby's deal-driven approach. Wyss describes becoming a “barn find” hunter and author, then “accidentally” transitioning into painting exotic and classic cars after selling a Shelby portrait, outlining his process, commissions, design critiques, and ongoing radio show, while reflecting on creativity, reinvention, and concerns about AI's impact on writing. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Meet Wallace Wyss 01:51 Early Influences Detroit and How Cars Spark Writing Path 05:15 MotorTrend Hustle Stories 07:39 First Cobra Book Breakthrough 12:02 Becoming "The Barn Find" Guy 19:08 Car Design Critiques & Most Beautiful Cars List 22:00 Vector and Jerry Weigert Tales 22:56 Roger Penske Corvette Story 24:53 Pitstop: "The Man In White" Origin Story 27:48 Accidental Art Career 33:55 Wally's Painting Process 36:28 Witnessing Car History 38:49 Advice And AI Fears; Shout Outs and Wrap Up! ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: Visit Our Website Become a VIP at: Patreon Online Magazine: Gran Touring Follow us on Social: Instagram
Denny Hamlin is back on Actions Detrimental after winning at Pocono, and apparently winning three straight races is just “a good run” now. Denny breaks down how the No. 11 team got it done, why Pocono fits him so well, and why he says their advantage is earned, not unfair. He gets into the strategy, the restarts, the qualifying piece, the final stage, and why Toyota has everyone's attention right now. Then Denny gets into the qualifying metric debate and, shocking no one, he has thoughts. He explains why he does not love the idea of random qualifying draws, why he thinks some teams need to stop blaming the format, and why “randomness is not sports.” Plus, Denny reacts to Zane Smith's restart move, the Austin Hill/SVG/Josh Berry crash, Legacy Motor Club's recent speed, the playoff bubble, SVG's next two weeks on road courses, the Josh Berry/Wood Brothers news, and the Michael Jordan comments that gave him a little extra fuel this offseason. Also in this episode: confetti gun chaos, Travis worrying about putting a Denny Bros sticker on his Kia, San Diego expectations, road course survival goals, Knicks talk, and Justin Allgaier locking into the Xfinity playoffs. Another week, another Denny Hamlin win. After a late race chase down of Christopher Bell, Denny rolled on to capture his third NASCAR Cup victory in a row at Pocono. Our resident NASCAR reporters Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi were on the case at the Tricky Triangle, and they took to the airwaves after the race to recap the attrition that plagued many Chase bubble drivers and how Denny has now trimmed Tyler Reddick's seemingly insurmountable points lead to just 19. Bobby Pierce is dominating with a package that almost nobody else in dirt late model racing is running. I dug into who else is on them and why more teams haven't made the switch. Plus, Brent Marks finally won again, a young Outlaw driver is quietly having the best stretch of his career, and there's a concerning development at a well-known Ohio dirt track.

We recorded this one with the final podium of the weekend underway for the Speed Series round at Queensland Raceway and pack down starting. Ryder Quinn is only in his early 20’s but is now part of the BMW M racing academy. He has the trademark Quinn family work ethic away from the track but has been round the sport since before he could walk. Ryder’s late start in the sport, how it came about and the huge learning curve he’s been on since then. A special helmet he made for his Grandfather, Tony Quinn, that left ‘Popeye’ as Ryder calls him speechless. The GT4 race that really put him on the map after charging through the field with fastest lap after fastest lap. And going to Bathurst for a history making family 12hour entry and how Ryder wowed the gun internationals with his performance. It’s the latest in our shortcasts that tackle the Next Gen and the early part of their own journey in Motorsport. Happy Friday, lets do some punching!
Dale Earnhardt Jr. invites a one-time rising star in the NASCAR garage, Georgia's own Reed Sorenson. After having a meteoric rise from the American Speed Association to becoming a development driver for Chip Ganassi Racing, Reed was on everyone's radar in stock car racing. He would enter the O'Reilly Series ranks in winning fashion, just narrowly missing out on Rookie of the Year honors to NASCAR Hall of Famer Carl Edwards. Ganassi tabbed him to replace Casey Mears in the Cup Series, and before Reed knew it, he was living his racing dreams at the young age of 20. Once there, though, Reed quickly realized that every rung up the ladder in racing brought more challenges, and a series of missteps and bad deals would leave him searching for a stable opportunity in racing. Reed comes from a racing family. His father, Brad, was a longtime mainstay in the Southeast late model scene, running local tracks like Lanier on a weekly basis and even making a Busch Grand National start in 1992. Once Reed was old enough to reach the pedals, though, his family focused completely on his racing endeavors. He'd start out in quarter midgets and win his way across North America before graduating to Legend cars. Legend cars led to late models, and Reed caught the eye of Lorin Ranier during his time racing with ASA, which helped facilitate his introduction to Ganassi. Reed would experience the triumph of being one of the sports' top prospects before years of dealing with the cruel reality of the world of racing. Dale Jr. and Reed discuss his rapid ascent to the NASCAR Cup grid, his near-misses and opportunities, and his departure from full-time racing. It seems like year after year Denny Hamlin gets rolling around summertime and begins looking unbeatable. As we leave Michigan, where he picked up his second consecutive Cup victory, and head to Pocono, a track where he's visited victory lane seven times in the past, motorsports reporter Jeff Gluck caught up with him on the latest episode of the Gluckcast. Denny and Jeff play a quiz-style game show which celebrates their long history of working together while answering some questions about his future in the sport. Jeff also chats with fellow reporter Zach Sturniolo about this upcoming weekend in Pocono and the latest happenings in the NASCAR Cup garage. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Fresh off another Michigan win, Denny Hamlin breaks down how a day spent fighting dirty air and running near 30th turned into a trip to Victory Lane. He explains the adjustments that changed everything, the Stage 2 run that put him back in contention, and why he knew he had the field covered before the final restart in the latest NASCAR Cup Series race. Then it's on to the chaos. Denny gives his take on the late-race wrecks, Carson Hocevar's aggressive driving style, and why "taking a chill pill" might actually make drivers faster. He also shares his thoughts on race craft, patience, and the challenge of balancing speed and survival when everything starts happening at once. Denny also reflects on career win No. 63, what it means to continue climbing NASCAR's all-time wins list, and why doubters throughout his career may have helped him more than they hurt him. Plus, Denny talks about staying up until midnight to rewatch his own win, dreams up a full-blown Denny Bros. campground takeover at Richmond, and shares plenty of stories and laughs from another memorable NASCAR weekend.
