Recently, Jeremy instigated a kerfuffle on X (Twitter), which now leads to a fuller conversation about the differences in approaching the OT prophets. Jeremy makes the case that Covenant Theology requires there to be an oppositional relationship between the Divine Author and the human author, whereas Dispensationalism allows for the Author/author to fully share the intention of the text. The Apostles and many OT Prophets warned about future false teachers that would come. Jude concludes they do not have the Holy Spirit and warns that they are self-serving, causing division.
Is There A Difference Between OT & NT Prophecy? There are two views of Prophecy held by Continuationist. The more popular of the two is the discontinuity view. The Discontinuity view states that the gift of prophecy has fundamentally shifted from the Old Testament to the New Testament. This view asserts that the OT Prophets prophesied Infallibly whereas the NT prophets prophesied with a possibility of partial or complete error. The other view held by the Continuationist Is the continuity view. This view asserts that prophecy is always fallible In both OT and NT. However, the writings of scripture Including prophecy Is infallible. Today we will be discussing these two positions see you all soon.Donate (Paypal)https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=GC2Z86XHHG4X6___________________________________________________________________________________Exclusive Content (Patreon)https://www.patreon.com/TheRemnantRadio__________________________________________________________________________________We're social! Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Isaiah the prophet speaks of the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. Isaiah 9 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon HIS shoulder: and HIS name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of HIS government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon HIS kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

If we find ourselves comfortable in familiar parts of the Bible and yet lost in the prophets, perhaps we need to really spend some extra time trying to understand what they're really all about, how they point to Jesus and how they apply to our lives today.
