Playlist;(sintonía) KING CURTIS “Spanish Harlem” (top 89 en enero)SIMON and GARFUNKEL “The sound of silence” (top 1)THE BEATLES “We can work it out” (top 1)HERMAN’S HERMITS “A must to avoid” (top 8)THE HOLLIES “Look through any window” (top 32)THE STATLER BROTHERS “Flowers on the wall” (top 4)THE VOGUES “Five o’clock world” (top 4)THE LOVIN’ SPOONFUL “You didn’t have to be so nice” (top 10)RONNY and THE DAYTONAS “Sandy” (top 27)THE ROLLING STONES “As tears go by” (top 6)BOBBY POWELL “C.C. Leland Vittert, NewsNation's chief Washington anchor and author of the memoir Born Lucky, joins us to talk about his childhood, his career, and all the unexpected ways he truly was born lucky. Despite years of bullying and difficulty navigating school as an autistic kid, Leland had one enormous blessing: parents who never gave up on him, never lowered the bar, and never stopped believing he was capable of a beautiful life. The devotion of Leland's father will melt your heart—and make you think about the millions of ways a child's life can be transformed through love, discipline, and grit. Leland shares moving stories about how his dad refused to quit on him and modeled what character really looks like. We also dig into journalism—his time reporting from Jerusalem, the state of today's media, who to trust, what's broken, and what still gives him hope. If you've ever felt different, misunderstood, or simply love a powerful father–son story, listen in. This episode will make you rethink what's possible. This week, we are going to look at one of the effects of "maturing love:" It makes us secure. A child who grows up in a loving family becomes more and more mature in that love and more and more secure about his place in that family. He knows that He belongs there. Our reading today is 1 John 4:12-19. As has often been the case in our study of 1 John, we have a transitional verse that was included in last week's reading: verse 12.

Are you ready to step into your true power? In this eye-opening talk, I break down why love is the ultimate force of strength while fear keeps you stuck in limitation. Love owns its choices, takes responsibility, and creates a life of confidence, freedom, and purpose. Fear, on the other hand, avoids, blames, and keeps you trapped in doubt. If you want to expand your spiritual awareness, unlock your inner strength, and stop letting fear control your life, this message is for you. It's time to rise above fear and step fully into love—because love is power!

When there's so much love in me that we cross the property line of a climate criminal called JPMorgan... we know that behind the desks, there is love to light up inside Chase. It took 9 weeks. all the way into March, to figure out a new year's resolution for the Stop Shopping Chxrch. It's the promise that we keep singing: "Can we be Strange Enough to Change Enough?" And we could say "Love Enough," because Love is the agent of the kind of change that we need to evolve in these dangerous days. As toxicity from Big Oil tries to take over our public life, our bodies, our minds.. they won't get our Love! In our love is creativity, the "magic Other," the evolving soul, the strangeness that they ridicule but want for themselves. That is the seed of the future that they will never touch. Love-a-lujah!
DescriptionToday's Scripture - John 3:16Jesus' idea of getting you into heaven is to get heaven first into you - not by works of righteousness that you have done but through what Christ has done on the cross. Don't miss God's power by settling for something less. Let God's love come alive in you by looking to Christ and trusting him.
166: 5 Ways God's Love Makes a Difference in How we Live The 5 P's... 1. Privately - God's love should be changing us in ways only we know about. He influences our thoughts, our relationship with Him, and our intimacy with Him. He loves us and that should change everything for us. 2. Personally - He authentically influences how we behave, what we do, and the decisions we make. 3. Practically - Because we have experienced God's love, we can show God's love. Practice loving others daily. 4. Professionally - Express His love in the workplace. You can show love to your co-workers, your clients or customers, and the people you see on your way to and from work. God calls us to love those who are difficult to love. People are placed in your life for a reason. Show love. 5. Publicly - God's love should make a difference in our public expressions. Even with those we do not know, we can show God's love. We can be kind, smile, let others go first, pray for someone, and let our light shine. Remember, "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." Dec 22, 2024 GRAND PARKWAY BAPTIST CHURCHNeil McClendon, Lead PastorWhat Love Makes Us LoveI John 3:11-241. Love the message, v. 11-15Zoe is the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical. Life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new and better experiences; including a more perfect body which will last forever.2. Love the opportunity, v. 16-22When you love the opportunity three things happen…a) think differently, v. 16b) see differently, v. 17c) love differently, v. 18To see means to perceive with the eyes, to discern, to ascertain, find out by seeing. Looking is directing your eyes in a particular direction but to see means to notice or become aware of something by using your eyes. “I would rather die right now than live a life of obvious ease in so sick a world.” -Nate Saint, Christian missionary, martyr 3. Love the simplicity of the Gospel, v. 23-24a) acknowledgementb) agreement c) surrenderMental worship…1. Is there anybody in your life that is hard to love right now? 2. Do you feel as if you have the life of eternity inside you longing to get out?3. Has the love of God caused you to do anything lately that you by nature wouldn't normally do?4. What does it sound like when your heart condemns you?5. Does the way you live give you assurance concerning your salvation?
Jesus, and the kingdom he brought to the Earth, is by nature subversive. He is subversive in that He's overthrowing an institution by peace not by force. In this we're learning to be just like Him. The Homestead Mobile - December 1st, 2024

She recounts the steps they took with Jess, leading up to an unforgettable delivery that sounds straight out of a Hollywood movie! The Lord is leading us out of the carefully, calculated and franchise modeled church and into the new era of a dangerous lifestyle. A lifestyle of love that makes us dangerous to the status quo. The Homestead Mobile - November 22nd, 2024
What if love was the truest measure of who we are—not our achievements or titles, but the way we love and are loved? In today's episode, we're diving into this profound question through the lens of Thomas Merton, a contemplative writer whose reflections on love invite us into a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be “real.” Merton wrote that love is what breathes life into us, a force that, when shared, grows and fills the world. As we uncover his insights, we'll explore how this love transforms us, forging a connection not only to each other but also to the heart of God. Drawing from Merton's New Seeds of Contemplation, we explore his belief that God's love flows uniquely through each of us, creating a beautiful mosaic of divine presence. “Because God's love is in me, it can come to you from a different and special direction… And because it is in both of us, God has greater glory.” In this vision, love becomes a profound and personal exchange, as the divine presence moves through us, offering something precious to one another that no one else can replicate. Join us as we reflect on this life-giving love that makes us real, opening us to both a unique connection with each other and to a fuller experience of God's glory.
