Cross Festival  è un evento internazionale di danza contemporanea e arti performative, che attraverso un accurato linguaggio multidisciplinare propone un programma di spettacoli, performance, musica e incontri che esplorano il legame tra arte, spiritualità e tecnologia.Titolo scelto per questa edizione è Tone of light ovvero tono di luce, quella dimensione immateriale e della trascendenza, che nell'arte viene spesso tradotta in spazi dalle superfici auree, un paesaggio dell'immaginario che porta in sé una profondità luminosa,un ponte tra la cultura contemporanea e l'arte antica. CROSS Festival 2025 Tone of Light ci avvicina alla bellezza di pratiche del corpo tradizionali, danze, canti e pratiche meditative che saranno di ispirazione per introdurre il pubblico alla danza e alla performance contemporanea.Per il 2025, il festival rinnova e approfondisce la progettualità  avviata nelle scorse edizioni   attorno al tema della spiritualità, sviluppando le proprie attività nella città di Verbania e nei comuni limitrofi di Bee e Ghiffa. Una ricerca che si sviluppa attraverso il coinvolgimento di artisti e artiste la cui pratica esplora le dimensioni spirituali, arricchendo il programma di incontri di approfondimento e laboratori aperti che invitano alla riflessione condivisa.Al centro della progettualità 2025 e del programma di spettacoli il desiderio di creare un dialogo vivo con le comunità locali, gli enti, i luoghi sacri e il paesaggio che rappresentano l'anima del territorio del Lago Maggiore. Numerosi gli spazi cittadini verbanesi coinvolti quali Casa Elide Ceretti nella zona di Intra, la storica villa comunale Villa Simonetta e il Teatro Il Maggiore, spazi pubblici all'aperto sia urbani che naturalistici, nonchè luoghi dedicati alla sacralità già ospiti dell'edizione 2024 come il Sacro Monte di Ghiffa e l'Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre nei boschi di Bee cui si aggiunge quest' anno la Chiesa Metodista di Intra.Dal 19 giugno al 2 luglio con la partecipazione di artisti contemporanei sul territorio nazionale e internazionale, per proporre una gamma diversificata di discipline artistiche in cui la danza interagisce con performance, installazioni, concerti e creazioni multimediali audio-video e in nuove tecnologie (XR e VR) capaci di coinvolgere un pubblico eterogeneo e dare molteplici chiavi di lettura. Tra le pratiche e temi di questa sezione del Festival troviamo i dervisci rotanti il salto della corda come ritmo collettivo incarnato, la messa in scena del carattere mistico delle valli rurali, la relazione tra corpo e roccia, la passeggiata come rituale, il giardino interiore, l'acqua, la vulnerabilità come pietra fondativa del corpo.Un omaggio all'essenza dell'acqua, fonte sacra di vita, origine di tutto e custode della memoria è proposto da Francesca Cinalli e Paolo De Santis di Tecnologia Filosofica, con la performance  Sinfonia H2O presentata giovedì 19 giugno alle ore 18 a Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre.Nella stessa giornata, al Teatro Il Maggiore di Verbania alle ore 21, Dervishes Remixed,  uno spettacolo corale che coinvolge undici danzatori e musicisti provenienti da tutta Europa e oltre, immergendo il pubblico nell'esperienza unica della danza meditativa dei dervisci rotanti con Giovanni di Cicco e il derviscio Ahmad Rifai Hambrouch.Il giorno successivo, venerdì 20 giugno, sempre Il Maggiore ospiterà nei suoi spazi tre appuntamenti, a partire dalle ore 19 con Dove vai così di fretta presentazione del nuovo libro di Lama Michel Rimpoche e  conferenza sul Buddismo nella vita quotidiana. Lama Michel Rimpoche e' guida spirituale del centro Buddista di Albagnano e ci accompagnera' in un viaggio alla riscoperta della felicità, intrecciando aneddoti personali e riflessioni profonde sul nostro vivere quotidiano.Alle ore 21 la performer Elisa Sbaragli con  Mirada, una danza multimediale e poetica che porta nuovi modi di contemplare la presenza di un corpo nello spazio, proponendo un punto di vista ultra dinamico.Chiusura della serata alle ore 21.30 nella sala Teatro del Maggiore con un'importante Anteprima Nazionale, Cani Lunari, il nuovo lavoro di Francesco Marilungo che esplora la magia come una forma di sapere alternativo, un sistema rituale che permette di attraversare l'incertezza e la paura, resistendo all'idea che la scienza positiva sia l'unico orizzonte di conoscenza possible.Il weekend di appuntamenti prosegue a Verbania sabato 21 giugno con Sirene, una performance itinerante e immersiva, guidata dalla performer Sara Vilardo e dall'artista multidisciplinare Sonja Winckelmann Thomsen, che mira a esplorare il viaggio di ritorno da una prospettiva contemporanea. Alle ore 21 Villa Simonetta ospita una prima nazionale, la performance di Francesca Foscarini, Dove cresce ciò che salva | Archivio sentimentale del movimento.Il giorno successivo, domenica 22 giugno sempre a Villa Simonetta dalle 10.30 alle 17.30 Pleasure Rocks, un workshop di movimento dedicato a esplorare una possibile relazione materica tra corpi umani e non umani. Chiude la giornata alle ore 21 la Compagnia Parini Secondo con il musicista Bienoise con la performance Hit Out, un viaggio intenso e pulsante, dove il salto della corda si trasforma in uno strumento percussivo capace di dar voce a ritmi, movimenti e riflessioni.Martedì 24 giugno con due repliche alle 17 e alle 18.30 ad Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre la performance itinerante Storia di un ruscello,  un racconto per immagini, una danza scritta per un'interprete e una pietra. Primo progetto da autrice di Erica Meucci.Mercoledì 25 giugno al Museo del Paesaggio di Verbania dalle 18 alle 20.30 a ciclo continuo l'installazione performativa e contemplativa Coming to Matter una delle evoluzioni della ricerca Pleasure Rocks, che esplora da molti anni forme di risignificazione del piacere nella relazione tra umano e altro dall'umano, uno spazio di incontro e intra-azione della materia, tra corpi umani e minerali. Alle 21 chiusura di giornata all'Atelier Casa Ceretti di Verbania con Alloro_Varietà Aurea con Francesca Cinalli, Paolo De Santis, Nunzia Tirelli (in replica anche venerdì 27)Questo spettacolo della compagnia Tecnologia Filosofica arriva al culmine di un percorso di residenza artistica in cui nello studio di forme e ombre possiamo intravvedere idoli, totem e tabernacoli che brillano nell'oscurità.Giovedì 26 (in replica anche venerdì 27) una Prima Nazionale con l'installazione performativa Garden Alchemy curata da TinDrum e Art of Listening.
