In early 2007, Giuseppe Marchegiano began to produce under the pseudonym of Hubble, shortly after the release of his first vinyl on Moulton label, he began to gather support from the underground and techno scene in Berlin and on the international level. He likes to consider his works as tools and not necessarily created to be officially released. We can call Hubble’s works “long hypnotic journeys”. Hubble, with his floating Techno sound and Psychedelic atmospheres has fronted a number of parties and events all around the world. We can't assign to him a specific genre or style, that's why he appeared on the past years in different locations with very different stories and vibes from Club der Visionaere (his favorite location) to Berghain, from Arma17 to Picnic Electronique in Montreal, from Rural Festival in Japan to Sunwaves in Romania, expressing his versatile attitude to music. In 2010 he releases his first album "Forget me not" for the label Archipel Musique and in the same year he started his collaboration with the Berliner underground collective Sleep Is Commercial. His first collaboration with his friend Pheek as EEBB and his second album “Reverse Utopia” were released on Sleep Is Commercial and most of his releases feature on the LTD only vinyl series of the label. Since then he has been releasing music on many other labels such as Haknam, Not So Secret Diary, Concrete Records and other unofficial nonprofit projects as unknown artist. Hubble will start in 2015 his own music label.

After that we can find his name on the line up of the biggest electronic music’s festival in Italy. At the beginning of 2007 he moved to Berlin where he is devoting his time to the development of his sound, and organizing events. DJ and producer Andrea Ferlin is one of the founders of SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL. It was in 2008 that Andrea, alongside Francesco Assenza, brought the label to life with the release of tracks as duo Dunkle Dummies and with the launch of the now legendary SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL nights. While moving to Berlin and establishing SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL represent the latest chapter in Andreas decade long career, his impressive and extensive background in electronic music have made him a familiar name on the international club circuit. Equally as prolific in the studio as playing live, in between sharing line ups with techno legends like Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola or regular guest appearances at Circoloca @DC-10 in Ibiza, Andrea found time to craft his production skills and has released his own material since 2006 on groundbreaking labels Freak n'Chic, Mindshake and Leftroom. These days, with SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL and Berlin, Andrea is part of two unique communities, one specific and the other general, both dedicated to moving electronic music ever forward. And in Berlin Andrea has really discovered and shaped his sound, producing a signature apparent in all his tracks and performances, something seeming to sway effortlessly between the beat machine and the snake charmer. Look for patterns within the over ten year career of Andrea, a strong theme emerges in his commitment to artistic collaboration. Indeed, Andrea's earliest successes were in partnership with Dusty Kid between 2002 and 2006. Together, as Duoteque, they released 5 records for the German label Boxer Sport and appeared on compilations from Minus, Systematic and Crosstown Rebels. More accolades followed for his next partnership with Matteo Spedicati. The 2007 and 2008 working with Matteo as “Clarissa Haze Duo” Andrea found an astonishingly different angle to create electronic tracks from inside his own music. Today, in many ways SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL offers Andrea the oppertunity to transform his professional attitude towards artistic collaboration into a way of life. Whether in the studio, party, or living room he shares the decks with friends, DJs, newcomers whom inspire him towards constant new projects and experiments. In 2010 he joined forces with Daniele Papini to release the “Club Mio” EP, and teamed up with new talent, Sardinian DJ Alessio Mereu releasing 3 acclaimed EPs on SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL as DUM. 2011 saw the DUM tour travel across Europe showcasing their music flavor as well as the return of some past collaborations; Dunkle Dummies and Clarissa Hazel Duo. To top off this year Andrea released his new solo project, Sunny Charles, on SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL. In 2013, toghether with his friend Donald Mezmercic he started a new project called Fedon, they released the first vinyl called Modern Mantras, and then after couple of months they released the album on CD called Modern Mantras as well. In 2014 with the remix of Ion Ludwig, Andrea released his latest EP called Almost. A new album, singles and some remixes will be coming during the year. Dunkle Dummies is a collaboration between the artists Francesco Assenza and Andrea Ferlin. Naturally as a fusion betweeen the two minds that originated Sleep Is Commercial, the Dunkle Dummies project holds at it's core the blueprint for the wider SIC dream. Coming from different sounds and backgrounds, the Dummies blend their styles to produce a soundscape of multiple genres that enters straight into the heart of those searching for a deeper vibe. Topper grew up in Turin (IT) surrounded by substances and tunes typical of a hippie-kind of environment. Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd were his daily milk. His dad, the "hippie", had a huge influence on him, and introduced his curious kid into the magic world of music and psychedelic culture. That’s the reason why he felt like he was born for music. Right at the beginning of the 3rd millennium he decided to move to Berlin. Since then, Topper is experimenting with his sound, discovering the hidden shapes of electronic and recorded music, meanwhile performing as dj with several Berlin crews (Klangsucht above all) and at several underground parties all around the city. Since 2009 he’s resident with Daniele Papini at Club der Visionäre, hosting the infamous Noisy Glance party. Together with Daniele he joined Sleep is Commercial and became one of the djs/producers on which the label's sound in productions and parties is focused on. He's resident in all Sleep is Commercial parties in Berlin. After his sound engineering studies and some years of deep studio engagement, in 2014 he released his first LP “Down by the River” and a handful of very well received EPs and remixes. Moving to the infamous Pausenraum studio was the definitive shift into a jam based creative process through a hardware setup, whose outcome will be the foundation of 3 labels to be started in 2015.

When it comes to Daniele Papini it is impossible to separate the man from the musician. Every step Daniele has taken in his life is in time to the beat of the music he was hearing and producing during that specific moment; his childhood as a classical pianist; his teenage years growing up on the London squat scene, as the bassist in a punk band; the instant love affair when he first encountered techno in 1998, embracing the radical anti-conformist message of the early rave-scene, traveling worldwide blasting the system from his huge wall of sound, to his early club residencies in Florence; all these encounters have given him the richly textured eclectic sound that he has honed today, that he brings to his live sets, to Sleep is Commercial and to studio productions made in Berlin, his home since 2006. Daniele's home is in fact just one big studio. Love at first sight with techno brought him into contact with his other great passion in life: music production. A chance meeting with Alen Sforzina in Croatia in 2005 led to the foundation of the GraFit Project, whose early collaborations were released on Italian label Urban Mantra and German label Toneman. Walking through the backyards of techno Daniele has been introduced and welcomed into many electronic families but it was his solo track Church of Nonsense, released in May 2008 that brought him international acclaim as the artist behind a track considered at the cornerstone of the techno genre. While his studio productions are chart-topping successes which reach a broad audience, he has also earned professional respect as a producer with a musical output characterised by a subtility and sophistication. Since he first caught the techno-bug in 1998 he has never been able to escape the dancefloor as dj. His trademark sound immediately recalls his complex musical history, an openness to the non-electronic world and genres of music often less associated with techno, whilst he balances a technical crispness with an alluring rhythmic warmth made for dancing. As well as continuing to play worldwide and in Berlin's top venues, like Watergate and Arena, and of course the infamous underground one-off Sleep is Commercial parties, he is also a resident at the cities best summer terrace, Club der Visionaere. Right now Daniele is also focusing on his Pausenraum Studio and working on various different projects ranging from techno to indie. He is still heavily involved in his own Noisy Glance music project and of course is a central part of his Berlin-family, Sleep is Commercial.

Cem & Rg never lets go of the groove in their dark triply and uplifting sets. Their young minds keep the duo's music energetic, while their experience seals the deal for the dance floor. Having played at parties like, BlkMarket, ReSolute, South America Music Conference, Miami Winter Music Conference and various parties around the world, the duo got to share the booth with important international artists during long lasting dj sets and proved that their sound is not to be missed.
Agazzi's addiction to underground music came with the same passion of his father Maurizio, old school dj that, after seeing him taste it, destroy, burn more than a few dozen, decided was better to teach to the soon what they were actually pins and vinyl, and with a multitude of information vital to his musical growth. Aga growing experimenting with his sound, discovering the darkest sides of techno music, meanwhile performing also ambient & jazzy items growing as a dj with several crews and at several underground parties in the Italian scene; since winter 2010 he is in the roster of Sleep is Commercial playing in Berlin with the crew especially at Katerholzig and Club Der Visionaere.

Music that moves both your feet and your feelings has been a long-standing preoccupation of dj and producer Matteo Spedicati. His first influence was his dad, who played his eager young son records from his vast collection. Listening, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, and Matteo soon realised that this crazy strong response could only be delivered by music. Like many teenagers. Matteo, on guitar, formed a garage band with his friends in Calgari. Unlike his peers, Matteo began to compose his own songs, score the other instruments, and experiment with musical software, adding electronic sounds and effects when he produced the bands demos. Around the age of 21, he first started going out on the Italian clubscene and immersing himself in the minimal sound flourishing during that time. Matteo desperately wanted to dj. He didn’t have the money to buy turntables but he did have a PC, so when his friend, life-long collaborator, Renato Figoli, turned up one day with a cracked copy of Cubase 5 they set about recreating the sounds they were hearing on labels like Kompakt and Perlon. In 2006 Matteo released his first EP on imprint Gumption Records. That was just the start. Since then a series of exceptional releases, featuring his distinctive and infectious blend of techno and house, has earned critical acclaim and the support of an international line-up of fellow djs and producers. (Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and Karotte to name a few.) He has worked with Joseph Capriati on CMYK e Alchemy, with Alessio Mereu on Toy for Boys, with Mr. Bizz on Tuning Spork and Resopal, with Mendo on Great Stuff. In 2008 he embarked on an new project with Andrea Ferlin as Clarissa Haze Duo. This partnership, which they have now brought to SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL, saw them fusing their techniques together, adding a psychedilic and organic texture, to create an album and an live act that gained high profile support from the electronic music world. Following this Mateo also set up his own imprint, Carillion with friend with Guiseppe Cennamo in 2010. And of course, Matteo now has those turntables and his skills as a dj are just as assured as his productions. He is an increasingly influencial player back home as well as being invited to play across Europe, known for his discerning taste, his flawless technique, and the tangibiltiy of his dancefloor- making the crowds hairs stand on end- always aiming for that strong emotional connection he felt listening to his dads records all those years before.
Hugo, as a jazz trained musician, found inspiration to make music from a combination of elements and influences. His 10 years career takes him all over the world. Since the beginning Hugo focused his efforts on the “live performance” side of dance music, creating several live projects as UBIT, that delivered the Ibiza anthem A-sid chosen by Mauro Picotto for his Meganite mixed set in 2004 and COMADISCO, an electro-punk trio experiment built to explore the darkest side of his talent, releasing its mega hit “Love in a bookshop” on Irma Elettrica in 2005. After several dancefloor burner, HUGO started to explore the brighter side of his dance attitude releasing a series of fresh tunes which blended jazz, house and funk that brought him out on the worldwide scene. In 2008 Hugo released "The Sloop and the Siren" on Jay Haze's label Tuning Spork. The Sloop rapidly became a must have for all the dj's of the global scene, a contemporary classic for dance music market. Hugo's works have been appreciated by the most influential artists and his remixes are gaining great feedbacks all around. Hugo is rocking the globe with shows in the most valuable world clubs as Womb, Fabric, Paradiso, Footwork, Watergate, Rex and traveling around 12 months a year. His anthem “The Sloop” has been selected as official soundtrack of Detroit Movement Festival 2009 and his production has been released by labels such as Tuning Spork, Mobilee, Systematic, Viva, 2020 Vision, Great Stuff, Om, Cr2, Claque, Rebirth, Material, Formatik among the others. 2010 will see the first steps on his new project, Goodvibe Records http://www.goodviberecords.com/ where he is going to release with his fellow mates and producers from all over the electronic music global scene. Goodvibe Records headquarter will be in Turin, where Hugo built a new studio, Nipple Slip Studio, and where he is working silently at his next vision, a solo album.
