We're back with another Stathe movie, this time 2012's Safe. It has Triads/Yakuza, Russian Mafia, Corrupt Cops, and The Stathe saving a little girl (awww) - everything a good Stathe film needs. It's almost like action movie Bingo with all these villain tropes. But does it deliver? Is it, as Isla hopes, better then her 'Holiday Challenge' movie Hummingbird, which we all agreed was quite terrible by Stathe standards (link below).https://www.buzzsprout.com/1207745/episodes/6043747Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/kwawwpodcast)
Q&A with All Rise actor Reggie Lee. Moderated by Mara Webster, In Creative Company. A look inside the chaotic, hopeful and sometimes absurd lives of judges, prosecutors and public defenders as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process. Among them is newly appointed Judge Lola Carmichael, a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney who doesn't intend to sit back on the bench in her new role, but instead leans in, immediately pushing the boundaries and challenging the expectations of what a judge can be.

Reggie Lee appeared in JJ Abrams' 2009 Star Trek movie reboot as "Test Administrator." While his screen time might have been short, his scene ended up being — unbeknownst to him — a fairly important allusion to franchise canon.

Double sword penetration from behind? Yeah, Elizabeth Swann has become quite the pirate and sword master! Join us for this latest episode as we slice and dice the most emblematic swashbuckler minutes 116 and 117 of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. In this show we discuss the music of Hans Zimmer – specifically “Heart Madness” from the complete motion picture score that incorporates Klaus Badelt’s “He’s a Pirate” and the famously recognizable thriller composition by Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565” that has appeared in movies spanning Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, and Disney films 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Fantasia. Conversation continues with motion sickness cinematography, brass knuckles (knuckledusters) and the link to Abraham Lincoln, the incredible coconut throw referencing The Bishop’s Wife, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Elf, Hadras losing his head (actors Reggie Lee and Ho-Kwan Tse), the heart of Davy Jones, Calypso/Tia Dalma, more movie tropes and clichés, and what’s in store for The Black Pearl Show Season 3. An insightful conversation with filmmaker Reggie Lee on his film “Who are the Chinese?” - a production that takes viewers into the deep cultural and spiritual roots of the Chinese, their history and biblical truths hidden in the language. http://whoarethechinese.com/
From 2011: Reggie, who is quite a pleasant fellow, is here today to talk about his role as a Portland police officer in the new NBC series “Grimm,” which is loosely adapted from the classic fairytales. Where else do you know him from? Let’s see: Fox’s “Prison Break”? ABC’s “No Ordinary Family”? How about Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End? Tropic Thunder? Or the movie I promised to watch but still haven’t, Drag Me To Hell? And where will he be next? The Dark Knight Rises.
From 2010: Before his current run in the limited NBC Saturday night series “Persons Unknown,” the Philippines-born Reggie Lee was a regular on Fox’s “Prison Break.” He also appeared in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” reboot, Sam Raimi’s horror film Drag Me to Hell, in the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean films, and with Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder. And that’s just the tip of the Reggie Lee iceberg.
Episode 521 & 522 "The Beginning of the End"Written by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf (521), Thomas Ian Griffith (522)Directed by David Greenwalt (521), Norberto Barba (522) This season finale was more intense and more mature than in the past. It left many cliffhanger questions but not the blunt instruments of seasons past. This go around it's the niggling, lingering questions that will haunt Grimmsters till this October. Golly, that sounds so far away. Short version: Black Claw moved in and made its self very much known. Diana really, really wants a family. Nick and Trubel now both know where the Splinter of Destiny is hidden. The Portland base of Hadrian's Wall is wiped out. Eve may be reverting back into Juliette. And Rosalee is pregnant. Yeah. Let those last two sink in for a minute.

Episode 519: “Taming of the Wuâ€Written by Brenna KoufDirected by Terrence O'Hara The countdown to the end of the season is on. The tension is mounting. The rule breaking continues. After all my complaining last week, this episode begins to make amends in some ways. There have been a few episodes that feature Wu (Reggie Lee). Most of them, okay all of them, are about Wu basically losing his mind. This one has some other surprises. But the line in the sand is constantly shifting. One moment they observe procedure and the next they completely look the other way or even aid the guilty. There is no consistency, no set way that cases are handled.
