This week, the boys discuss a possible story for Injustice 3 and how it could redeem the whole Injustice franchise. Injustice is a 2021 American adult animated superhero film based on the prequel comic series of the 2013 NetherRealm Studios video game Injustice: Gods Among Us, and based on characters from DC Comics. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, and distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, it is the 46th installment in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line. The film is directed by Matt Peters from a story by Ernie Altbacker and stars Justin Hartley and Anson Mount as Superman and Batman, respectively. The film, set in a separate continuity from the main DC Universe, follows Superman's descent into madness after being tricked by Joker into killing his pregnant wife Lois Lane and detonating a nuclear weapon that destroys Metropolis. As Superman transforms the Earth into a police state to enforce global peace, Batman forms an underground resistance to oppose Superman and his allies.Like, comment, and subscribe for more content analyzing the greatest tales of DC and Marvel stories. J. Abrams and written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. It is the 11th film in the Star Trek franchise, and is also a reboot that features the main characters of the original Star Trek television series portrayed by a new cast, as the first in the rebooted film series. The film follows James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) aboard the USS Enterprise as they combat Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan from their future who threatens the United Federation of Planets. The story takes place in an alternate reality that features both an alternate birth location for James T. Kirk and further alterations in history stemming from the time travel of both Nero and the original series Spock (Leonard Nimoy).[4][5] The alternate reality was created in an attempt to free the film and the franchise from established continuity constraints while simultaneously preserving original story elements.Trekcast: The Galaxy's Most Unpredictable Star Trek Podcast!
Amikor a kardassziaiak fenyegető mozgósításba kezdenek, az Enterprise-on a feje tetejére áll az élet: miután Picard kapitányt felmentik és titkos küldetésre vezénylik, a hajó Jellico kezébe kerül, aki tárgyalásokba kezd a Kardassziai Unioval. ANSON MOUNT'S RETURN from paternity leave thrusts Captain Pike into an adventure where he loses his memory and becomes... the darkness that's been inside him all along? And it's because an asteroid crashed on a planet thousands of years ago? Huh? This week, Bryan is joined by Michael Baumann of the cycling blog Wheelysports and the baseball blog FanGraphs to sort out a greatest hits-type of story. Michael has a great theory about how every Star Trek series has a captain who is a different type of dad. Is Mount's "Dad Energy" your kind of Star Trek captain energy? Is this episode a big swing that connects? The grades begin at (33:39).
It's a Star Trek Actor Spotlight. What does that mean? We will review a movie or TV show featuring a Star Trek actor. This week we are taking on the 2022 movie MK Ultra. It stars Captain Pike himself Anson Mount. If you're into conspiracy theory at all, get excited. It's currently on Amazon Prime as of the time of writing this. MK Ultra is a 2022 American psychological thriller film written and directed by ex-intelligence officer Joseph Sorrentino.[1][2] Based on a true story about the human experimentation program MKUltra conducted by Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the 1960s, the film follows Dr. Ford Strauss (Anson Mount), a psychiatrist who gets involved in a government experiment and conspiracy involving the use of psychedelic and other mind-controlling substances. It was released theatrically and on video on demand on October 7, 2022. - from WikipediaStop me if you've heard this one, Paramount says they have a plan for a new Star Trek movie. Cross Roads is a 2002 Teen Road Comedy Drama Romance… it's a lot of things, directed by Tamra Davis with screenplay by Shona Rhimes. Crossroads is the story of Lucy, played by Britney Spears, Mimi played by Taryn Manning and Kit played by Zoe Saldana. Lucy, Mimi and Kit were childhood best friends but grew apart as they entered highschool. Now as seniors, Mimi pulls the trio back together to recover a wish box from their childhood… they all agree to join Mimi on a trip to Los Angeles. Mimi is traveling to LA for a singing audition, she also happens to be 5 months pregnant, Kit is going to see her boyfriend at UCLA and Lucy is looking for her estranged mother in Arizona along the way. They also get a very helpful ride from a Ben Kimble played by Anson Mount, that is your lead in for Crossroads. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Last April, Anika and Liz each bought a copy of the June 1999 issue of the official Star Trek magazine. Then we had ... some other things to podcast about. But we've finally opened it, and we're talking about... Remember when we'd pay US$7.99 -- or AU$15! -- for a magazine that contained a couple of interviews, some facts we already knew about the Klingon Empire and a Bird-of-Prey pinup? The Kate Mulgrew interview: She does not talk about her relationship with Jeri Ryan (but we do) None of the other captains of this era had to talk about how work took them away from their kids -- and Scott Bakula had a toddler when Enterprise started! (Hey, isn't it cool that now Anson Mount can request and get paternity leave, and no one's asking Sonequa Martin-Green how she balances motherhood with her career?) Putting the Janeway/Chakotay relationship on the backburner (and where they could end up in Prodigy -- that's us speculating, not Kate in 1999…) We try to picture Kate Mulgrew in the MCU and fail spectacularly Let's all take a moment to send bad vibes to Liz's grade 10 drama teacher Jason Alexander and the woke agenda 1999 NFTs Anika wants you to know that D. C. Fontana shipped Spock/Christine 25 years later, Tim Russ deserves an apology for the interview which closes the magazine
Star Trek Time - Strange New Worlds S2 E4 With Anson Mount (Pike)
David Wright and Mark Radulich present their Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 2 Review! The second season of the American television series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions throughout the galaxy during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series. The season was produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout, Weed Road Pictures, H M R X Productions, and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serving as showrunners.Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn respectively star as Pike, Spock, and Number One, along with Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun. A second season of Strange New Worlds was confirmed in January 2022 and filming took place at CBS Stages Canada in Mississauga, Ontario, from February to July 2022, prior to the release of the first season. The showrunners continued the first season's episodic storytelling approach, inspired by The Original Series, giving each episode a different genre and tone. This includes a crossover episode with the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks, and the Star Trek franchise's first musical episode featuring original songs by Kay Hanley and Tom Polce. Many of the regular actors and several guest stars portray younger versions of characters from The Original Series in the season. The season premiered on the streaming service Paramount+ on June 15, 2023, and ran for 10 episodes until August 10. It was estimated to have high viewership and audience demand and was praised by critics. A third season was ordered in March 2023.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulich

STEALING THE ENTERPRISE has never looked so easy! In the second season premiere of the hit Strange New Worlds, the writers needed to write around Anson Mount's limited availability and did so by coming up with a prequel to "The Menagarie" -- Spock's first effort to hijack the ship! Is Spock's first time as impressive as his next time? And, does getting new backstory on M'Benga and Chapel give enough weight to their storyline in this episode where they inject themselves with drugs to Hulk out?Meanwhile, Bryan and Kristen try to remember which TV show posted a list of cliched jokes that were banned from their scripts, but it took until post production for us to locate that it was the writers room for the Comedy Central series Workaholics that posted the list back in 2016.If you're enjoying the show, consider rating us five stars in your podcast app of choice and leave a review if you feel so inclined. Ana and Dan put their redshirts on and join the crew of the Starship Enterprise for this time-hopping remix of an original series favorite and Paramount's sassy prequel. The TOS submariner plot holds up nicely; Kirk's random yeoman-cuddling does not. Strange New Worlds delivers a cautionary message about excessive caution and Anson Mount's hair continues to amaze.
