Kate Flannery and Oscar Nuñez had a mini "Office" reunion on last night's season finale of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and went ALL THE WAY! (You'd know them as Meredith and Oscar on the show.) They even called up Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) for their "Phone-a-Friend" lifeline. As for the million-dollar question? "The word 'planet' comes from an ancient Greek word that literally means what?" Their options were "powerful," "immortal," "stranger," and "wanderer" . . . the answer being "wanderer". Kate and Oscar will be splitting their winnings between Planned Parenthood and a Philadelphia-based food bank called Philabundance. Fresh off Coachella comes Stagecoach! The country music festival returns April 24–26, 2026, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Headliners include Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone—but it's not just country. Pitbull, Ludacris, Teddy Swims, Bush, Journey, Hootie & The Blowfish, Little Big Town, and dozens more are on the bill. BigXthaPlug and Counting Crows join the revived Mustang Stage, while Guy Fieri and Diplo return as festival staples. Passes go on sale October 2 at StagecoachFestival.com.Ozzy & Judas Priest Drop ‘War Pigs' Charity SingleFans finally get to hear Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford together. Judas Priest and Ozzy's family released a new version of “War Pigs” after missing Black Sabbath's farewell show. Halford called it a career highlight: “It's the first duet I've ever done with Ozzy, and I'm eternally grateful.” Proceeds go to the Glenn Tipton Parkinson's Foundation and Cure Parkinson's, honoring both Tipton's and Ozzy's battles with the disease.Taylor Swift Heading to FallonTaylor Swift is taking The Life of a Showgirl to late night. She'll appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on October 6, just three days after her album release and one day after fiancé Travis Kelce's birthday. Fallon teased the appearance in a cryptic roulette-themed post landing on Swift's lucky number, 13. This marks Taylor's seventh Tonight Show stop, alongside guests Keri Russell and a performance from The Format.Queen Eyeing Vegas Sphere ResidencyBrian May says Queen is seriously considering a Las Vegas Sphere residency after seeing the Eagles perform there. He told Rolling Stone, “The kind of show we could put on would be absolutely stupendous.” While May admits he's weary of traditional touring after 50 years, the Sphere could give the band a spectacular new stage without the grind of life on the road. Katie Couric pokes fun at Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ad in a new PSA for colon cancer screenings. The clip opens to a close-up of Katie wearing a jean jacket, and quickly pans out to show she's wearing a hospital gown underneath, and she's on a gurney getting ready for a colonoscopy. She tells the camera, quote, "Speaking of genes. Did you know that the majority of people who develop colon cancer are not genetically predisposed to the disease? That's why doctors recommend everyone 45 and older get checked." Katie told "People" magazine, quote, "That ad showed how pop culture and a pair of jeans could really shape the cultural conversation, it was everywhere. It was a moment in time, and we thought, 'Why don't we ride that horse a little bit longer and have some fun with it?'" It'sbeen 25 years since Katie became the first person in history to broadcast a colonoscopy on national TV. She lost her husband to colon cancer in 1998. He was only 42. One of the most famous homes in American history is opening its doors to the public for the first time ever. The "Brady Bunch" house in North Hollywood will be accessible to fans on November 7th, 8th, and 9th. And while bookings are sold out, you can register to be on a waitlist, or be notified if additional dates become available. When the show was in production back in the day, the house was only used for EXTERIOR shots. The inside of the Brady home was created on a soundstage, and the inside of the actual house looked nothing like it. But HGTV bought the house in 2018, and renovated it so that it DOES match the house from the show. And of course, they recorded it for a series called "A Very Brady Renovation". Sacha Baron Cohen, 53, has been spotted on a dinner date with 27-year-old OnlyFans creator Hannah Palmer, just months after finalizing his $75 million divorce from Isla Fisher. Page SixThe pair were seen leaving the restaurant separately before getting into the same Cadillac Escalade. Although the age gap raised eyebrows, insiders say they “seemed to be getting on really well.” Page Six+1Cohen and Fisher married in 2010, share three children, and announced their split in 2024 before finalizing the divorce this past June. Action legend Chuck Norris, now 85, marked his birthday by hiking Lassen Peak in Northern California—a strenuous trail rising to 10,457 feet. The round-trip journey spans about 5 miles and climbs 2,000 feet, often taking 4 to 5 hours to complete. It's official: HBO Max wants to traumatize your children. What other reason could there be for them to produce a brand new, animated version of "Charlotte's Web", one of the greatest children's stories ever told . . . until it becomes the most heart-wrenchingly brutal story in the history of mankind? This one is a limited series, told in three parts, which will all be released on Thursday, October 2nd. It stars Amy Adams as Charlotte, Elijah Wood as Wilbur the pig, and Jean Smart as the narrator. Hannah Einbinder had never really acted before she was cast as Ava Daniels opposite Jean Smart's Deborah Vance on ‘Hacks.' Now, she's a three-time Emmy nominee. In this episode, Einbinder opens up about the overconfidence she brings to that role as well the onstage persona she displays in her excellent debut stand-up special ‘Everything Must Go' on Max. She also talks about overcoming the intimidation of acting with Jean Smart, compares the generational gap between their characters to her relationship with her own mother (original SNL cast member Laraine Newman), and reveals how Stephen Colbert helped land her the role that changed her career. And later, Einbinder shares her unfiltered thoughts about the “old f*cking guys” in comedy who complain that political correctness is stifling their craft. This is another milestone.  We only had a half hour, so I began by asking a specific question. The video that I posted, that Jennifer had not seen - was of footage of Saipan in 1944.  I asked Amelia if this footage featured the Electra?  She said it did but the "wrong date." (She says year, but Jennifer later said that meant date to her). The video was 3/4's correct.   Because the footage shows three planes in a hangar on Saipan - two Japanese Zeros and another plane covered by camouflage.  Amelia confirms that this was her Electra - which they found "the next day."  And is part of the book SHE WAS NEVER LOST: THE AMELIA EARHART SAGA.  Read it to give this comment context. Then we invited Robert Redford to speak to us.  It happens sometimes where I feel like "someone is bugging me" and two days ago that happened. So I asked him all the questions that I could muster about his family and friends. I know the family asked for privacy and apologies for asking him for messages for them - but we've been doing this weekly for ten years now. I've learned that even if a person doesn't believe that we're speaking to their loved one, eventually they come to realize it's accurate. Jennifer revealed she did a reading with Jean Smart, the Emmy winner of "Hacks" - and while not revealing anything they talked about, described the process of their getting together. And then throughout the podcast, she had other things come to mind - working on Robert's daughter's fiancee's case in Colorado - something she hadn't thought about in ten years, but came to her the night before he passed. Jennifer has been working with members of Kobe's family (they've allowed her to say that) - and other folks.  The point isn't about celebrity - it's about the fact that Jennifer has the ability to just say whatever comes to mind. I asked Robert how it was he was aware of our class, and Kobe showed Jennifer that it was his introduction that made him show up. We've interviewed a number of his pals, Sidney Pollack's daughter wrote to me that everything we reported was accurate about her, about him turning his chair around and packing his cigarettes while he answered questions. Sidney confirmed a latter he'd written to my pal Phillip Noyce before he passed.  We've been doing this for awhile. So I dove into the interview. He had messages for his pals, I asked for them by first names, but anyone could figure out who he's referring to.   So Jane Fonda, Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Bob Woodward, Meryl Streep, Rod Lurie - he has a comment for all of you.  It doesn't matter if one believes it's him speaking to them or not - eventually we'll realize the process.   Jennifer can be reaches at JenniferShaffer.com, I can be reached at RichardMartini.com He gives some sage advice about politics, and lowering the political temperature.

From red carpets to crime scenes, Conway's show covered it all. At the 2025 Emmys, The Pitt finally delivered Noah Wyle his first Emmy after 26 years, Severance made history with Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman's wins, and The Studio broke comedy records as Seth Rogen and Jean Smart took top honors. Meanwhile, headlines turned dark with Charlize Theron's car stolen and a brazen Woodland Hills robbery tied to a kidnapping. In Santa Monica, officials dyed the ocean pink to study wave circulation and worsening water quality, while L.A.'s Sixth Street Bridge sat vandalized and stripped of copper wiring. Conway wrapped the hour with his NFL “Pick the Game” segment — where the losers got called out loud and clear.

Writer, executive-producer, and co-creator of Hacks Jen Statsky joins Sam to discuss her particular brand of hopeful pessimism, and their shared obsession with Jean Smart, who she says is one of the greatest nappers of all time. Jen explains that she is decisive if it’s a decision that only involves herself, but as soon as she brings in other people, there’s a big problem. Which is why she’s fortunate to have two amazing co-showrunners of Hacks, because they make most of the decisions together and she loves it—from hiring to writing assignments to what kind of office birthday cake to buy. They lament the lack of respect male comedians have traditionally held for female comedians who have come before them, and why six years may not sound like a lot but it’s an eternity in TV years. comedians have written off way more successful female comedians for eternity. They talk about what it’s like to go from being a staff-writer to being in charge of all the writers, and how the late night landscape has changed to be almost unrecognizable since Hacks began and how Jen kind of wants to leave her career to become a couples therapist. Episode 56 – Review: The Accountant 2 (2025)Back in 2016, Ben Affleck surprised a lot of people with "The Accountant", a sleek, mysterious action thriller where he played Christian Wolff, a math savant with deadly skills. That film, written by Ozark series creator Bill Dubuque, had an incredible cast (John Lithgow, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Anna Kendrick, Jean Smart) and a vibe that stuck with people. For years, a sequel was teased, and now, nearly a decade later, it's finally here. The Accountant 2 makes the rare move of actually improving on the original. Director Gavin O'Connor returns, and Affleck is back as Wolff, joined again by Cynthia Addai Robinson and Jon Bernthal. Newcomer Daniela Pineda (playing Lena) is a total standout. One change this time around: the character of Justine (Christian's mysterious associate) is now played by Allison Robinson, taking over voice and on screen duties from Allison Wright. And it works. While the first movie had a haunting score by Mark Isham, this sequel switches gears with a fresh and impressive score by Bryce Dessner. The vibe is a little different, but it still pulls you into Wolff's world. There's a planned third film to complete the trilogy, and both O'Connor and Affleck have hinted at wanting Anna Kendrick back for that one. Fingers crossed."The Accountant 2" is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. We've got more episodes, reviews, and recommendations coming your way. If you're enjoying the show, please leave a review, it really helps the podcast. Thanks for listening, and enjoy the movie.Correction: In the audio, the character of Lena is mistakenly said to be played by Daniela Melchior. The role is actually played by Daniela Pineda.

Carol Leifer entered comedy when a woman stand-up was considered a novelty or a niche, but even then she knew "things would eventually change." And change has come, due in no small part to Carol's own stelar show biz contributions. Carol joins us this week to talk about her formative years, her early standup, giving voice to iconic characters like Elaine Benes and Deborah Vance, and her new book, How to Write a Funny Speech!Carol's relationship with her father, an optometrist with an ear for comedy and a quick wit that delighted both patients and family, laid the foundation for her career trajectory. Her supportive parents encouraged her to pursue stand-up when the opportunity struck, and very soon, she was right at home at The Improv and on The Tonight Show.Even within the male-dominated comedy space, Carol found herself buoyed by peers and colleagues, in the clubs and on the sets of seminal sitcoms such as Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm.Carol's Seinfeld contributions tapped into women's lived experiences and brought us the skinny mirror, the marble rye and the nail salon, but she reveals which of Elaine's iconic storylines was not her brainchild - 'sponge-worthy' was actually coined by male writer, Peter Mehlman!Enjoy an exciting spin on your favorite podcast showbiz trivia game as we invite Carol to play IMDB Roulette: Writer's Edition, where she dives into the intricacies of writing for: Seinfeld, Curb, Hacks, SNL and Ellen, plus traveling the globe with Henry Winkler, George Foreman, Terry Bradshaw and William Shatner! (She now calls him Bill.)Carol also shares her SNL writing regrets. (If she could only have gotten in better with Lorne.) When Jean Smart first read the play ‘Call Me Izzy,' she had one response. “I just had to do it.” Smart is taking a break from winning multiple Emmys for her portrayal of Deborah Vance on ‘Hacks' to tackle the one-person Broadway show about Isabelle Scutley, a Southern woman trapped in an abusive marriage who, despite it all, finds her voice through writing and humor. Smart spoke with Newsweek's H. Alan Scott exclusively about what inspired her to take on this endeavor, her inspiration for the character, and how she keeps up the stamina.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Strap yourself in for a great chat with Megan Stalter - this is truly one of the funniest episodes of the podcast ever!  You might already know Megan from her TikTok comedy skits which got her big break in the Emmy award winning TV show ‘Hacks' where she plays the chaotic assistant, Kayla opposite Jean Smart.  Now Megan is taking the lead in Lena Dunham's new semi-autobigraphical Netflix show, ‘Too Much' where she plays Jessica, who moves to London after a heartbreak and meets an indie boy in her local boozer played by Will Sharpe (you will remember him from The White Lotus - of course!) It's a chef's kiss from me and you will absolutely LOVE this show when it lands on Netflix on 10th July.  Today we giggle through so many relatable topics like confidence, fears of phone calls, being thrown out of a Shakespeare improv group and how much we love gay - because pride is 365 days of the year babes!  I hope this episode shows you that if anyone ever calls you TOO MUCH, they are actually just too small for you! And if you love this conversation too, get in touch with me across socials @joshsmithhosts as I always love hearing from you. I'll see you next week for another episode of ‘Reign'. Love, Josh x P.P.S. It's just Kevin and Lauren this week and they manage to keep it pretty tight with some Squid Game talk, Call me Izzy, Smoke, Baby Girl, and Ironheart. They open the show by discussing the first half of the new season, as Lauren has watched 4 of the episodes and Kevin has only watched 3. The review is definitely favorable and the two make their predictions about the finale, both with differing ides about where it could end up! Next up, Lauren takes us to Broadway with Call Me Izzy. It's a one owman show starring the always incredible Jean Smart. It tackles the tough topic of abuse and is delivered wonderfully in a way that only Jean Smart can do. If you're in the New York area and aren't looking for the most uplifting story, this one is worth catching. Kevin takes us back to the small screen with Smoke, the new series on Apple TV+. It follows 2 arson investigators, played by Taron Eggerton and Jurnee Smollett. They are tracking 2 separate arsonists while dealing with their own issues on the home front. Only the tow episodes have aired so far but it seems to be an excellent investigative series and has a great twist at the end of the second episode.  Continuing the recent trend of "we watched it so you don't have to," Lauren watched Babygirl starring Nicole Kidman. It's the tale of a highly successful business woman seduced by a younger man and the messiness that ensues. All in all, it doesn't do much to reinvent the wheel and leaves a lot to be desired, even in the genre of steamy romance. Kevin closes out the show with a review of the first 3 episodes of Ironheart on Disney+. The story of Riri Williams is carried over after Black Panther 2 and is surprisingly very solid so far. This is a character that Kevin did not enjoy in her previous appearance, but he's been impressed with the work done in this outing and he's enjoying it so far, even going as far as calling it one of the better Marvel shows.  As always, thank you for watching. If you haven't already, don't forget to Like & Subscribe. We love new viewers! Also, leave us comments and let is know how we are doing and what we can be doing better. Sen. Joni Ernst horrified constituents with a heartless comment about people who will lose Medicaid coverage under the GOP's budget bill, Elon Musk denied reports that he is a heavy user of ketamine and psychedelics, and President Trump reposted a wild conspiracy theory about his predecessor. Six-time Emmy winner and “Hacks” star Jean Smart has three famous faces in mind for cameos on the show's next season. Achoo! We're falling in love with the one and only Faith Prince. You Might Know Her From Modern Family, Emily in Paris, Melissa & Joey, Spin City, My Father the Hero, The Last Dragon, and Broadway productions of Guys & Dolls, A Catered Affair, Bells Are Ringing, and BOOP!  Faith talked to us about grounding her character, Valentina, in the cartoonish plot of BOOP!, coping with fame during her star-making turn in Guys & Dolls, and leaning on her co-star Gerard Depardieu in one of her first leading roles on camera in My Father the Hero.  Faith also shared stories from working as a Broadway replacement in the cumbersome costume of Ursula in The Little Mermaid and the notoriously “realistic” production of Anne as Miss Hannigan. All that, plus working with theatre legends like Jerome Robbins, Abe Burrows, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, doing dialect work at Joey Lawrence and Lily Collins, doing her best Cyndi Lauper in cult fave The Last Dragon (and making pals with Berry Gordy, and working with Jean Smart and Mary McDonnell in the short-lived High Society.   This one was a HOOT.  Patreon: www.patreon.com/youmightknowherfrom Follow us on social media: @youmightknowherfrom || @damianbellino || @rodemanne Discussed this episode: Evergreen topics for Anne and Damian: Tyne Daly in Gypsy, Grease, Spice Girls track listings, we look like cats in Heathcliff, the cast of Mannequin 2 aka is it Jonathan Silverman, no it's William Ragsdale in Herman's Head, Sex and the City/AJLT Cynthia Nixon's kitchen tour Tom and Lorenzo and their SJP adventure Plays Valentina in Boop on Broadway We love Dancer/Choreographer Rachelle Rak Coughing as Adelaide was tougher than talking and singing in character voice Bob Saget used his stand-up to differentiate himself from Danny Tanner  Nathan & Adelaide are famously the SOUBRETTES in Guys & Dolls so Jerry Zaks put them forward instead of Sky and Sarah (this changed how future productions positioned the 2 couples)  Jerry Mitchell says it's important to pass the baton down to the next generation of musical theatre stars Arthur Laurents aka “the meanest man in show-business”, Jerry Gutierrez, Abe Burrows, Comden & Green, Sondheim, Barishnykov, Howard Ashman, Jack Plotnick, Tina Landau,  My Father the Hero w/ Gerard Depardieu “Dirty Books” from The Last Dragon / Suzanne de Passe and Berry Gordy produced the soundtrack. Berry Gordy took her OUT and called her “baby” “One More Time” in First Wives Club “How do you know if someone has lived through trauma — by the way they get someone who doesn't like them, to like them.” Cole Escola of Oh, Mary! on CBS Sunday Morning Was in first 6 episodes of High Society with Jean Smart and Mary McDonnell (based on AbFab and Faith played the Saffy character) Faith Prince's “Men” from Nick & Nora. The show was a notorious flop. Arthur told Faith she was making a big mistake by leaving show to do Guys & Dolls. Mary Rodgers told her she could find a way into Anna through Gertrude Lawrence, who was a comedienne.  Was offered the role of Audrey in the original Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors Went to CCM with Jim Walton Had taken the revue, Scrambled Feet and was doing an IBM industrial so couldn't' take LSOH Lance Roberts is currently in Just in Time Ellen Greene did Adelaide at The Hollywood Bowl  Studied Donna Murphy who she replaced in The King & I and then did Wonderful Town (at LA Opera) Katie Finneran talked with us about James Lapine's realistic interpretation of Annie and Miss Hannigan in the 2012 revival. Said it was a challenge in the NYT. Re the 2012 revival of Annie: Andrea McArdle said “I didn't know we were doing Secret Garden” Associate Director Wes Grantham LOVES HUMOR, unlike Lapine Martin Charnin & Charles Strouse KISSED HER FEET when they visited her backstage John Doyle who directed A Catered Affair also backs away from the humor We love Bells are Ringing - Faith starred in the 2001 Broadway revival. Difficult because of Mitchell Maxwell who produced Had to ride an actor in Grey's Anatomy because character's IUD got stuck on her ex-husband's Prince Albert penis piercing Does some great character work in the indie film Our Very Own (got gig from doing reading of The Women with Allison Janney) IMDB lists her on an ep of Mad Men. INCORRECT. Martin Short was in Dennis Quaid movie, Innerspace My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies was an incredible, formative concert Managing Ursula costume in The Little Mermaid was worse than managing the wig in her Lifetime movie with Kathleen Turner, Friends at Last Vicki Lewis told us she held Dixie Carter's spit cup in a production of Mame she was in with Faith Christopher Walken kept pickled things in the pockets of his costume during James Joyce's The Dead (Marni Nixon was also in the show) We interviewed Annaleigh Ashford who is maybe made  in the mold of Faith Prince Damian is seeing an Italian production of Cats / Anne is seeing her nephew do Grease Jr.  in Sicily DUCK ASS HAIR for Danny Zuko

Couldn't we have done this whole thing without all the flashbacks to them as kids? Did we need the Treasury Department cold on the Accountant's trail the whole movie? Didn't everyone want to yell, ‘No Touching,' whenever we see Jeffrey Tambor's character in prison? And how creepy is it that Ben draws faces on all those melons he's going to shoot? It's Tax Day, and we're celebrating the fiscal cycle with a movie that gets physical. A film that puts the “internal” from “internal injuries” in the Internal Revenue Service. The flick that proves pocket protectors can be cool and no one will make fun of you for wearing them if you also carry a really big gun. Ben Affleck stars, the same year he donned the Bat-Mantle in Batman V Superman, alongside Jon Bernthal, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, John Lithgow, Jean Smart, and Jeffrey Tambor. In the film, Affleck plays an autistic CPA who is also a master assassin. Written by Ozark creator Bill Dubuque and directed by Gavin O'Connor, the film rightly drew criticism for “cripface” - casting a non-disabled actor to play a person with a disability - the film performed well at the box office and earned a sequel, which premiered last month at SXSW and goes wide later this month. But when the bill comes due, is The Accountant merely a paint-by-numbers affair, is it guilty of fraud, or does it add up to more than the sum of its parts?   For more geeky podcasts visit GonnaGeek.com   You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''.
