He was a civil engineer from Politécnico, working for Grupo Carso installing retail locations nationwide. He's accused of being outside the victim's home in San Vicente Chico López with three guys who posed as federal agents, demanding $100,000 and threatening to deliver the family back "in pieces." Osvaldo insists they got the wrong guy—that he was confused with other extortionists who'd been busted weeks earlier collecting $6,000.Since then, Osvaldo has lost everything: his mom died from a stroke right after hearing his 47-year sentence, his daughter stopped talking to him at age 7 because she says he lied to her, and his 82-year-old father visits him relentlessly, leaving home at 4 AM. In this conversation, Osvaldo opens up about how an extortion charge destroyed his life, the pain of never getting to say goodbye to his mom, the heartbreak of watching his daughter grow up through phone calls she won't answer anymore, and his dreams of freedom to fulfill his mother's final wishes.A story about extortion, a broken justice system, unbreakable family love, and fighting to hold onto hope after nearly a decade behind bars claiming he's innocent.----------------------------------Para ver episodios exclusivos, entra aquí: https://www.patreon.com/Penitencia_mx¿Quieres ver los episodios antes que nadie? Playing Bigger isn't about blowing up your life. It's not about hustling harder. And it's definitely not about 10X-ing everything overnight. In this very first episode of The Play Bigger Podcast, I'm having an honest conversation about something most high achievers don't want to admit: the quiet, hidden cost of playing small. On the outside, it can look like success. You have clients. You're busy. The calendar is full. Money is coming in. But on the inside… you know you're operating beneath your true capacity. In this episode, I break down the real price you pay when you delay tough decisions, stay the bottleneck, avoid visibility, or keep telling yourself, “I'll build it later.” I also share exactly how this showed up in my own journey—even at high levels of success. This isn't about motivation. This is about standards. And the question is simple: Are you willing to raise yours? If you've been feeling a quiet tension between where you are and where you know you're capable of going—this episode will hit different.Things I Cover in This EpisodeWhat playing small actually looks like for high performersThe 5 real costs of playing small:Financial costTime costEmotional costIdentity costLegacy costWhy exhaustion and playing small can exist at the same timeThe difference between operator thinking vs. CEO thinkingHow high achievers get stuck longer than anyone elseThe danger of “successful dysfunction”My personal seasons of playing small (even while producing big)The fear behind staying private, avoiding visibility, and delaying leverageA powerful self-audit to reveal where you're cappedWhat playing bigger truly means (without chaos or burnout)The one decision that can shift your entire next chapterIf this episode challenged you in the best way, here's your move:Pick one area where you've been playing small.Make one bold decision this week that moves you into alignment. If you're ready to scale with structure, clarity, and strategy, explore what we're building at letsplaybigger.comAnd if this episode hit home, share it with someone who needs the push.---Thank you for joining me on this episode of Play Bigger with Raquel Quinet, and remember, keep pushing your limits to achieve your goals. For updates and collaborations or opportunities, go to www.LetsPlayBigger.comFind more resources on our websitehttps://raquelq.com/podcast/Follow Raquel on Raquel Quinet's socials:Instagram | YouTube | Facebook | LinkedInCheck Out Our2025 Play Bigger EventsApply to be in our Play Bigger MastermindGrow Your Real Estate Business with Real BrokerageJoin our Facebook Play Bigger Community

00:00:00 - 00:08:47 Mi vida antes de la cárcel / My life before prison00:08:47 - 00:23:41 El viaje de app y la detención / The app ride and my arrest00:23:41 - 00:37:31 Cuando me “cuadran” la extorsión / When they “built” the extortion case00:37:31 - 00:50:50 Juicio y sentencia de 47 años / Trial and a 47-year sentence00:50:50 - 01:04:49 Fe, familia y esperanza de amparo / Faith, family, and hope for appeal ------------------In this episode of PENITENCIA, we hear the story of Óscar, a rideshare driver who dreamed of moving to Canada with his wife and now faces a 47-and-a-half-year sentence for extortion. His life seemed simple: a hardworking family, years behind the wheel, and a future planned outside of Mexico. Everything changed on October 11th, when he accepted a trip through the app, drove into a street marked as dangerous, and, within seconds, patrol cars, files, and accusations turned that ride into a criminal case. --------------------------Óscar talks about his arrest, the pressure to sign statements, the loss of his phone —which could prove his routes on the app—, the lawyers who charged him but didn't defend him, the role of the San Agustín Prosecutor's Office, and a sentence that includes a massive restitution payment he cannot afford. From prison, he talks about his mother, who travels from Hidalgo to visit him, the wife he's about to marry inside the facility, and the faith that keeps his hope alive for an appeal that could set him free. This episode is a look at Mexico's criminal justice system from the inside: an extortion case with no phone calls, no money recovered, and no full app records—just years in prison. Listen to Óscar's story and ask yourself what happens when the truth stops mattering and going to work can cost you the life you used to have. This season has shown me something most people don't talk about out loud: your relationships will either accelerate your vision… or quietly slow it down.As we get to the end of the year, people start reflecting on gratitude, lessons, and the people in their life — and that reflection hits differently when you realize some relationships no longer feel aligned. Maybe you feel drained after certain conversations. Maybe the friendships that used to fit… don't. Maybe your circle feels smaller but sharper. You're not imagining it.You're not being dramatic. You're growing. And not everyone is meant to come with you into your next season. In today's episode, I'm sharing the truth about shifting friendships, evolving standards, and the emotional cost of outgrowing people you once loved deeply. I'll walk you through how I curate my circle, how I protect my energy, and how I decide who gets access to me — not based on history, but based on alignment. If you've been feeling disconnected, drained, or misunderstood this year… this episode will give you clarity, permission, and a framework for choosing relationships that match who you're becoming — not who you used to be.   Things I cover in this Episode:The moment you realize you've outgrown old friendshipsWhy growth can feel lonely (and why it's not actually loneliness — it's expansion)How to protect your energy without guiltThe Access Buckets Framework I teach my kidsInner Circle vs. Growth Circle vs. Clients vs. DrainersHow to filter relationships using expanders vs. diminishersWhy boundaries aren't rejection — they're alignmentHow to elevate your rooms and stop staying where you're the strongest oneWhat happens when your bandwidth shrinks and your standards riseA step-by-step “Play Bigger Relationship Audit” to realign your circle for 2026If this episode resonates with you — if it gives you clarity, permission, or a deep exhale — share it with a friend, tag me on Instagram @itsraquelq, or send me a message inside my VIP text community at textraquel.com.And if you're ready to grow with me in 2026 — through coaching, events, or a VIP Day in Scottsdale — send me a DM. Everything changed on January 2nd, 2018, when he was arrested at his doorstep, accused of a murder he never committed. What followed was a complete nightmare: a police setup straight out of a bad movie, scientific evidence thrown out the window, and a justice system built to fail.Throughout the process, Axel faced media pressure, public shaming, and the incompetence of a system that criminalizes poverty. Even though he wasn't even in the country when the crime happened, had DNA evidence that cleared him, and witnesses who confirmed his innocence, he almost got sentenced to 70 years in prison.------------------------------Este episodio revela cómo en México no eres inocente hasta que se demuestre lo contrario, sino culpable hasta que logres demostrar tu inocencia. This episode shows how in Mexico, you're not innocent until proven guilty—you're guilty until you can prove you're innocent. Axel's story exposes a broken justice system where prosecutors make up suspects to close cases, where lack of resources kills any chance of real investigation, and where only money and privilege can save you from a wrongful conviction.Today, years after his release, Axel is still dealing with the aftermath of a case that should've never existed. Karen's real killer is still out there, the case remains open, and questions about political and business connections stay unanswered.----------------------------------Para ver episodios exclusivos, entra aquí: https://www.patreon.com/Penitencia_mx¿Quieres ver los episodios antes que nadie? If you had asked me a year ago whether my mom would be sitting at the table celebrating her 76th birthday today, I couldn't have given you an answer. We prayed. We fought. We almost lost her—twice. And this year forced me to slow down in ways I never expected. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain and sharing a message straight from my heart. Not as a business coach. Not as an entrepreneur. But as a daughter navigating one of the hardest seasons of her life.I talk about what this year taught me about legacy, presence, loss, gratitude, and the truth about building a life you actually want to live—not just a business that looks successful on paper. This isn't just a Thanksgiving message. It's a reminder of what matters, what lasts, and what we often forget while we're chasing goals, growth, and the next milestone. If you're in a season of building… or a season of slowing down… or a season of transition… this one is for you.

This episode is one of the most emotional and personal ones I've ever recorded. Last week, I watched my son step onto a Division 1 basketball court for the very first time — a dream he's chased for years… and a dream many said he would never reach. As I sat in the stands with 15,000 people around us, tears just fell. Not because of the game, but because I realized something powerful: our kids are always watching — even when we think they're not.In this episode, I open up about the unseen moments, the sacrifices, and the grit behind a dream that had every reason not to work… but did. And as I reflected on Bryce's journey, I realized that so much of who he became came from what he witnessed at home — the way I handled pressure, adversity, setbacks, and the work no one applauded. This isn't just about sports or parenting. This is about entrepreneurship. Leadership. Legacy. And the truth we often forget: we model our kids' default settings. If you're building a business, raising a driven kid, or stretching for the life you know you're meant for — this episode will hit home.✨ Things I Cover in This EpisodeHow our kids absorb our habits, reactions, and resilienceThe behind-the-scenes grind that built a D1 athleteWhat entrepreneurship and sports have in common (hint: everything)Why growth filters your circle — and why that's a giftThe real difference between teaching grit and living itHow to protect your energy and vision when others doubt youThree things you can do this week to model leadership at home and in businessIf this episode speaks to you, share it with a parent, an entrepreneur, or someone chasing a bold dream. Adrián espera poder romper el ciclo y conocer finalmente a su hija.---------------------------Adrián "El Güero" grew up in Campeche with a strict family: his mom was a nurse and his stepdad was in the military. They gave him everything except affection. At 15, after moving to Mexico City, the streets showed him a different reality. It was his own female friends who taught him how to steal, putting him on a motorcycle and showing him how to use a gun. Since then, he's been through 8 different prisons, mostly stealing from department stores.Today, Adrián faces a devastating reality: he has a 16-year-old daughter he's never met in person. She doesn't have his last name and isn't legally recognized as his daughter. While he sells food to other inmates to survive and battles drug addiction, he painfully recognizes that he repeated the same pattern as his biological father, who abandoned him before he was born.Adrián hopes to one day break the cycle and finally meet his daughter.---------------Para ver episodios exclusivos, entra aquí: https://www.patreon.com/Penitencia_mx¿Quieres ver los episodios antes que nadie? From age 7, he showed exceptional skills that took him from local soccer schools all the way to América's second division team in Coapa. But at 16, a knee injury and lack of money crushed his dream.--------------La necesidad de dinero lo llevó a jugar por fuera del club, ocultando su situación. When their support dried up, he fell in with the wrong crowd who got him into weed and drinking. That downward spiral put him in the wrong place at the wrong time: he was accused of stealing a PepsiCo delivery truck with some other guys, though he swears they were just looking to grab some drinks to hang out.Today, at 27 and almost a decade into his 17-year sentence, El Pollo has become the top scorer in a prison with 5,000 inmates. He plays soccer every day, gets visits from pro players like Raúl Jiménez, and dreams of getting back on the field when he gets out. This is the story of wasted talent shaped by circumstances, but a guy who never stopped kicking the ball.--------------------Para ver episodios exclusivos, entra aquí: https://www.patreon.com/Penitencia_mx¿Quieres ver los episodios antes que nadie? Lo que nadie le había dicho es que existía una sentencia de 27 años en su contra por el mismo delito del que había sido liberado.00:00:00 - 00:07:39 Acusación injusta y detención / The false accusation and arrest00:07:39 - 00:21:54 Primera liberación tras año y medio /  His first release after a year and a half00:21:54 - 00:35:18 Lo detienen nuevamente después de 3 años libre / Getting arrested again after 3 years of freedom00:35:18 - 01:11:27 Vida en prisión y lucha familiar / Life in prison and his family's fight01:11:27 - 01:16:49 Testimonio de su hija: evidencia de inocencia / His daughter's testimony: proof of innocence------------------------------Miguel Ángel was working as a shuttle driver at Mexico City's airport when his life changed forever. In 1999, after a fight broke out between coworkers—one he wasn't even part of—he was wrongly accused of murder. After a year and a half locked up in Reclusorio Oriente, he walked free with a full release. But three years later, while he was out living his life and trying to rebuild, the cops came back for him. In this episode of PENITENCIA, Miguel Ángel shares his heartbreaking story of injustice: how lies from someone who was drunk and high got him blamed for a murder he didn't commit, how the freedom he thought was real turned out to be a trap, and how his family has spent over two decades fighting to prove his innocence. His daughter breaks down the case: the evidence showing her dad just moved a van when the paramedics asked him to, the security footage that got ignored, and the crime scene reconstruction that completely contradicts the accusation.A story that exposes how broken Mexico's justice system is—where release papers don't actually mean you're free, and where 25 years later, Miguel Ángel is still waiting for justice while his mother fights stage-four cancer and his family falls apart visiting him day after day in prison. For a year and ten months at Cuautitlán prison, he experienced the harsh reality of Mexico's penitentiary system, from the guards' brutal "welcome" to living alongside people from all walks of life who'd committed every kind of crime. But his story doesn't end there. After getting out and rebuilding his life from nothing, Jafet founded ACME, an organization that now brings together over 230,000 people in transportation, commerce, and other sectors. His fight against extortion, monopolies, and corruption has made him a controversial figure who's faced multiple fabricated investigation files, bogus arrest warrants, and even an Interpol red notice. In this no-holds-barred conversation, Jafet talks about the thin line between defending rights and using controversial tactics, the power of grassroots organizing, government corruption, civilian self-defense groups, and how Mexico's justice system can be weaponized against those who dare to challenge the status quo.An episode that exposes the complexities of transportation in Mexico, the manufacturing of criminal charges, systematic extortion, and the struggle of thousands of people trying to survive in a hostile environment where justice is often up for sale.------------------------- Para ver episodios exclusivos, entra aquí: https://www.patreon.com/Penitencia_mx¿Quieres ver los episodios antes que nadie?
