If there ever was an artist who's name should be on the lips of all music fans and who should be a star in his own right, and IS actually, it's Rob Bonfiglio. An accomplished guitarist, singer, arranger, producer, songwriter and many other things, Rob has recorded 5 solo albums and his power pop sound and arrangements are right up there with the very best of them. Listen once and you will continue to listen. Rob currently tours with Brian Wilson. We Cowsills were all in a band with our mother and Rob is in a band with his father-in-law, Brian, (he's married to Brian's daughter Carnie) so we have that “family band' thing in common. Rob's band, Wanderlust, made a splash in the mid 1990's and he has forged a career in music throughout the years and is deserving of all the attention a successful recording artist deserves. Some things, some people are worth waiting for. Rob Bonfiglio is certainly one. From the opening moments of the show, Rob kills the title track of his recently dropped masterful power pop CD, Trouble Again. A Philly boy, Rob takes us through the junior high school band that wasn’t, the teacher who opened the door to jazz which became Rob’s passion, Berklee College of Music, Wanderlust his first signed band, who just happened to open for The Who. Stop! He speaks of the meeting and courtship of his soon to be bride, Carnie Wilson––their early days in Philly, mmove to LA, the rebirth of Wilson Phillips with Rob as guitarist and musical director, having babies, being grossly manipulated and misrepresented on Celebrity Wife Swap, to fulfilling a long held dream to join Brian Wilson’s Band, which he did this past year, playing guitar and singing high lead Beach Boy vocals on many of the songs he’d come to appreciate as melancholy genius from the iconic Pet Sounds. A life well-lived, most impressive is the man he is. Scheduled last month, the Facebook had been down all day… we didn’t call it until moments before Rob was to jump in his car. When he commits, he shows up. Period. As proven when he headlined Women Who Write in January in spite of having a nasty cold. “There’s no illness in show bizness.” The first time I met Rob he was playing guitar for Nick Guzman’s house concert. I never would’ve guessed in that moment the magnitude of his career. This night he was a supporting player, a sideman, albeit a brilliant one, as he was at the recent Wild Honey concert, and the two before that. He’s humble and gracious… dare I say. always? We talked his early obsession with Kiss, his days in Boston and New York, Peter Asher, Ken Sharp, Mackenzie Philips (his mishpucha), Al Jardine, John, Bob and Susan Cowsill, Will Lee, Zak Nilsson, Nick Guzman, The Flower Power and '70s Rock & Romance Cruises from which he just returned and a slew of jazz greats who’ve inspired him. Rob’s before-mentioned recently dropped CD, Trouble Again, ranked #1 on Marcus Blake's Album picks for 2018 is in heavy rotation in my kitchen. Oh my lord how I love it. And him. He has mad talent, a sweet and gentle soul, and is damn easy on the eyes. Loved, loved, loved the time. Rob Bonfiglio is a guitarist, songwriter, producer, and musical director who first gained national prominence in the mid ‘90s as a founding member of RCA recording act Wanderlust. He scored a radio hit on the Billboard charts with "I Walked" and landed prime opening gigs for The Who, Collective Soul and others. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2001, Rob has become a critically acclaimed solo artist with 4 solo albums to date, and his fifth, Trouble Again, has just been released. Rob also tours with and the musical director for multi-platinum selling pop group Wilson Phillips and produced their most recent album, Dedicated.  Rob also plays with other L.A. based artists and his songs are heard in television, commercials, and films, including Disney’s 2008 release, Bridge to Terabithia. El Feeling is a Los Angeles-based band founded in 2016 that mixes Latino folk rhythms with alternative style influenced by rock and pop, using folk instruments such as accordion, guitar, tambora and flute de millo, and electronic elements. Members of El Feeling  -- Carolina Cobo, Carlos Hernan-Ch, Sergio Aldana, Diego Torres-Cantu, and Marco Echeverría -- come from Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico, blending their home nation sounds, cultures and rhythms into a fusion of musical ideas that resonates with any audience.  El Feeling are Rock & Roll flavored with Latin spice and  a style that can go beyond the Latin audience.
