Just before celebrating his 60th anniversary, French-Brazilian guitar player, composer, producer and film-maker Marcelo Paganini will digitally release two singles on the 20th of November 2024.The first single Marcelo Paganini will release is his short orchestral overture “Poder Paralelo”. It is just 49 bars. It lasts only about one minute. Perfect for the short attention span audience of the current times. It is the first movement of his first symphony “Belo Horizonte” that he wrote 20 years ago, when his friend Andre Dequech told him about a composition contest. Award nominee sound engineer John Chapman did the audio mixing in Hollywood, California, USA. Marcelo Paganini conducted by himself the Budapest Scoring Orchestra in Budapest, Hungary on October the 23rd for the recording. 3 cameras captured the performance and the video will also be released on the 20th of November. An award winning independent music artist, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, music producer and videographer, this London based creative grew up in Nottingham UK. Self taught on piano and guitar, he was to discover a love for fully crafting his own material from conception to production and everything in between. Solidifying his skills at Paul McCartney's Performing Arts Institute LIPA in Liverpool, saw him write two musicals and record his first solo album before arriving in London to pursue long held musical dreams. As an ever evolving queer artist with inspirational pop icons surcharging his self expression, the big city in the early naughties proved a resistant force in his honest lyrics and themes gaining any commercial appeal. And so, shunning the corporate cats with a firm belief that art comes from a place of truth, he did it his way, retaining creative control by launching his own record label - Young Lust Records, learning the music biz from the ground up. Having carved a niche with his own brand of queer themed rock music and videos, exciting collaborations and projects soon followed, along with a strong online audience and international fan base garnering millions of YouTube views and viral videos, capturing the supportive eye of much loved English actor, broadcaster, writer, comedian and director Stephen Fry. Combining elements of rock, punk, alternative, pop and visual storytelling with a theatrical flair, his songs are candid in dealing with the joys, pains and experiences of gay identity. As an LGBTQ+ advocate and activist his expressions are unashamedly positive and celebratory with humorous yet acerbic commentary on institutional homophobia within the entertainment industry. Quirky, heart-warming and political. Fifteen years and four studio albums deep, his work has involved an international roster of film directors, illustrators and visual artists to bring his stories to life with an award winning debut album Not Thinking Straight and follow up Cover Boy co-produced with Mark Crew of Bastille and Rag n Bone Man credits, and has had his work featured in Gay Times, Attitude and Out Magazines. Alongside further nods from actor Tom Hiddleston, LGBtQ+ activist Peter Tatchell & legendary songwriter and producer Jim Steinman. Jenn speaks to California musician and Kirtan artist Joss Jaffe. Growing up with a yogi mom, Joss was introduced to the world of yogic philosophy, mantras and meditation at a very young age. In 1998 at the age of 17, Joss traveled to India to study classical India and Nepal music. He shares with us how this experience brought many learnings to him in which he incorporates into his music today to spread around the world because sharing music, particularly kirtan music where the audience joins the format of call in response is a very powerful way to connect with our souls. Jonathan Bright is a “multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, recording engineer. He played in a band called “Swing” in the late 80s, had a deal with Warner Chappell publishing. Later in the 90s he put out a couple of records with with Rick Will, Paul and Mike Simmons in a band called “Vagantis”. In 2000s he started doing some engineering and producing in a band called “Defense Wins Championships”. Jonathan also recorded an all ukulele tribute to the band “the Replacements” called Treatment Bound with Tom Littlefield mid 2000s our combo “Bright Little Field”. Around 2011ish he began writing and recording with Raelyn Nelson (Willie's granddaughter). He also produced Bill Lloyd's last 4 or 5 records. In Tyson's own words:  “I have been playing professionally in clubs and venues all over the US and Globally since 1988. Originally from Kansas City, I migrated to Nashville to pursue my dream further to be in a touring act, Upon living here for three months, I landed the keyboard spot for 90s country superstar Tracy Lawrence.     Previous to my tenure with Lawrence, I performed with Corey Taylor of the heavy metal juggernaut Slipknot and Stone Sour in the short-lived band Corey Taylor and the Junk Beer Kidnap Band. Essentially it's the prequel to his current solo outing CMFT. In 2017, I was hired as the keyboardist for late 80s hard rock all-female sensation Vixen and am still touring the world with them. In addition to touring work, I've been a Dueling pianist since 2012 working at venues like Howl At The Moon and currently The Big Bang in Nashville, TN. I've also performed on the Kid Rock Cruise. The KISS cruise. The Megadeth cruise. Monsters Of Rock, Shiprocked, The 80s Cruise, and the Rob Gronkowski cruise among others. I released a solo album in 2013. In 2016 I released a follow-up single titled “Cradle To The Grave”. In 2020, I produced a country album for Singer/Songwriter Dew Pendleton called “Might As Well Be Me”. And on New Year's Eve, I released a hard rock single called “Burning Time” which featured members of Queensryche, Vixen, Mr. Big, and Autograph. When I'm not on the road you can often see me performing between 6-7 nights a week on lower Broadway in Nashville or performing at a Dueling Piano bar somewhere in the country.
