POPULARITY
Parents everywhere know there's a level of frustration where you stop talking… and start blasting Huey Lewis in the garage like your life depends on it. This episode starts with Rizz admitting one of his kids pushed him so far over the edge that he had to activate the emergency happy playlist — and honestly, that may be the most relatable thing ever said on a daily comedy show. The gang dives deep into the songs guaranteed to rescue your mood, including Bermuda by John Linnell, “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher,” “Power of Love,” “Stayin' Alive,” Wilson Phillips, Grateful Dead deep cuts, and enough Motown to heal emotional damage from modern life. Somehow the conversation turns into Michael Jackson hiding under your bed, CPR training from The Office, and whether Poison's “Nothing But a Good Time” should legally qualify as antidepressants. Then things escalate exactly the way they always do around here. There's major concert news with the Smashing Pumpkins launching a massive anniversary tour for Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness, plus Sonic Temple highlights featuring Shinedown, Daughtry, and Lzzy Hale absolutely crushing live performances. The crew also debates legendary tours after a “greatest concerts of all time” list sparks chaos because apparently U2 and Garth Brooks got disrespected so hard that Moon nearly launched himself through a wall.Speaking of questionable life decisions, Moon opens up about tattoo regret and realizing some of his old ink now resembles “a Walmart quarter-machine mistake.” The gang breaks down famous rock stars with zero tattoos, including Lars Ulrich, Alice Cooper, Trent Reznor, and Dave Mustaine. Meanwhile, Moon's tattoos are slowly evolving into what the show describes as “touched-up church Jesus art.” Honestly, no notes.Celebrity nonsense also reaches elite levels in this episode. Tom Brady apparently debuted a new look that made listeners compare him to Patrick Bateman, an animatronic billionaire, and a rejected Zoolander villain. The crew debates whether Brady's “perfect guy” magic is finally wearing off after another bizarre fashion appearance. There's also fake celebrity dating rumors involving Pamela Anderson and Tom Cruise, SNL madness with Chad Smith impersonating Will Ferrell, Paul McCartney showing up with new music nobody expected, and Casey Musgraves performing breakup songs on top of a washing machine because country music symbolism has fully left Earth. As always, this daily comedy show somehow mixes music nerdery, parenting meltdowns, celebrity gossip, nostalgic chaos, weird news, and absolutely unnecessary side conversations into one giant sarcastic fever dream. It's basically group therapy for people who laugh at inappropriate moments and still think “Stayin' Alive” is a medically useful song.If you love comedy podcasts, funny celebrity gossip, weird stories, sarcastic humor, music debates, and total morning show chaos straight out of St. Louis, this episode has everything except emotional maturity. And yes… somebody absolutely ends the show talking about porno birthdays. Because professionalism is dead. This daily comedy show is proudly brought to you by the beautiful dysfunction known as The Rizzuto Show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to PTBN Pop's Video Jukebox Song of The Day! Every weekday will be featuring a live watch of a great and memorable music video. On today's episode, Andy Atherton is watching “Impulsive” by Wilson Phillips from 1990. The YouTube link for the video is below so you can watch along! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkYzwoZ0YwI
Takin’ A Walk celebrates Women’s History Month with a very special She Wrote the Book feature — and host Buzz Knight sits down with the one and only Carnie Wilson, the powerhouse vocalist and television personality whose voice helped define the sound of a generation. Carnie Wilson rose to fame as one-third of Wilson Phillips, the iconic vocal trio whose debut single “Hold On” became one of the best-selling singles of 1990, spending two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. But behind that soaring voice and infectious pop brilliance is a woman with one of music’s most extraordinary family legacies — she is the daughter of Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson, one of the most celebrated songwriters and musical visionaries in rock history. In this intimate and revealing conversation, Carnie opens up about growing up in the shadow of pop royalty, finding her own artistic voice, the creative chemistry between herself, Chynna Phillips, and Wendy Wilson, and how music has been both a refuge and a calling throughout her life. She reflects on the timeless appeal of Wilson Phillips’ harmonies, the emotional journey behind their biggest hits, and what it means to carry on a musical legacy while forging one’s own path. A television personality, podcast host, and passionate advocate for mental health and wellness, Carnie Wilson is far more than a pop star — she’s a storyteller, a survivor, and a true daughter of rock and roll. This Women’s History Month, Takin’ A Walk honors the women who wrote the soundtrack of our lives. Carnie Wilson has been singing hers out loud for decades — and she’s not done yet. #carnie wilson #wilson phillips #brian wilson #pop music history #buzz knight #takin a walk Support the show: https://takinawalk.com/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: https://takinawalk.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Pop music in 1990 was a wild experience. New queens of pop like Paula Abdul, Taylor Dayne, and Mariah Carey stood shoulder pad to bustier with 80s ladies Madonna and Janet Jackson. Hip-hop broke into the mainstream in a big way with M.C. Hammer and Vanilla Ice. The last gasps of hair metal still clung to the airwaves like so much AquaNet residue. Club music somehow how found its way onto Top 40 radio stations. And the totally unsubtle vocal stylings of Michael Bolton, Wilson Phillips, and others gave sad white people the confidence they needed to rock high-waisted jeans and pleated khakis. What a time to be alive! So join us as the Great Pop Culture Debate goes back to the beginning of the end of the 20th Century as we name the Best Song of 1990.Songs discussed: “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice; “There She Goes” by The La's; “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode; “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles; “Groove is in the Heart” by Deee-Lite; “I'm Your Baby Tonight” by Whitney Houston; “We Didn't Start the Fire” by Billy Joel; “Vogue” by Madonna; “U Can't Touch This” by MC Hammer; “Poison” by Bell Biv Devoe; “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinead O'Connor; “Freedom ‘90” by George Michael; “Love Shack” by The B-52s; “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson; “Pump Up the Jam” by Technotronic; “Hold On” by Wilson PhillipsJoin host Eric Rezsnyak, Derek Mekita, Jim Czadzeck, and Jonny Minogue as they discuss and debate 16 of the most iconic songs from the year of the final decade of the 20th Century. For the warm-up to this episode, in which we discuss additional 1990 songs that didn't make the bracket, become a Patreon supporter of the podcast today. Ex-Psychic Saved: Exposing Divination, New Age, and the Occult
In this powerful and personal episode of Ex-Psychic Saved, Jenn Nizza welcomes special guest Chynna Phillips Baldwin—wife, mom, singer, and founder of California Healin'—to share her testimony of deliverance from the grip of the New Age. With refreshing honesty and humility, she talks about leaving behind false spirituality and embracing the power, peace, and freedom found in Christ alone.Together, Jenn and Chynna pull back the curtain on the dangers of the New Age, the human craving for control, and the unmatched love of a Savior who never stops calling us home.If you or someone you know is questioning crystals, card readings, or any form of counterfeit faith, this conversation will shine a light in the darkness.FOLLOW JENN NIZZA:- Follow Jenn on Instagram- Follow Jenn on TikTok- Follow Jenn on YouTube- Get Jenn's books

Our struggles often feel isolating. But talking about them, even when it's uncomfortable, can be the key to growth and healing. Today's guest, Carnie Wilson, co-founder of the world famous musical group Wilson Phillips, understands the importance of vulnerability. From navigating fame and a multigenerational legacy in music (including her legendary late father, Brian Wilson, co-founder of The Beach Boys) to overcoming addiction, shame, and postpartum depression... Carnie's willingness to share her struggles is a testament to the power of connection and self-compassion. We explore how opening up about challenges can build mental strength, the importance of community, and the small steps you can take to find healing.
