Brothers Vivek and Vikram Nayar desired a change in pace from the world of finance. They moved to Philadelphia, contracted some brewing time and started up Two Robbers Hard Seltzer. Two Robbers Seltzer, coincidentally, caught the eye of Round Guys Brewing Company’s co-founder, Scott Rudich. Rudich, whom after a recent doctor’s visit decided to slow his beer drinking pace, stumbled upon Two Robbers at a distributor in Nazareth, PA. Two Robbers Hard Seltzer serves as impetus and aspiration for the new Round Guys Brewing Company hard seltzer brand, Gimme Seltzer. In this episode, hear the path both businesses took to brewing seltzer. On one side of the coin, two brothers fulfilled an entrepreneurial dream, on the other side, two coworkers searched for a solution to new health impediments that prevented from drinking beer.Round Guys Radio Network’s Inside the Brewery is one of three shows on the Round Guys Radio Network. Black is Beautiful, a name borrowed from a prior time and a movement celebrating pride and bringing awareness to continued disparities and police violence against people of color. Marcus Baskerville, co-founder of Weathered Souls Brewing Company, found himself brewing more than just a beer. He started a new movement, the Black is Beautiful fundraising effort to not only bring awareness to police brutality but to open people’s eyes to the lingering, sometimes more subtle, racism that surrounds us daily.I debated releasing this episode until I built the full show, which when initially planned would be a show focusing on this beer’s impact in Lansdale. For now, that’s on the backburner. Instead, I decided to get to know Baskerville. We hear his story to beer and how one missed protest drove him to build a movement. Round Guys Radio's Inside the Brewery is presented by Round Guys Brewing Company. This episode features host Bill McGeeney interviewing Marcus Baskerville. For the first time you can read the full story of Bumblebee Wheat at our website, RoundGuysBrewery.com/stereotytans.Host Bill McGeeney sits down with Philadelphia based artist James Comey to discuss the Stereotytans' Bumblebee Wheat comic book, and their adherence to visual storytelling. Round Guys Radio welcomed Andross for a special podcast and performance. Round Guys Radio is hosted by Bill McGeeney, and produced by Mamata Tharima. Learn more about Round Guys Radio by listening wherever podcasts are found, or going to RoundGuysBrewery.com. Performances recorded at UndergroundLansdale.com.--------------Andross appeared on Round Guys Radio’s Music Mashtun episode this January. The show recorded in October prior to their upcoming performance at the Glenside Ale House's Acoustic Corner in Glenside, PA on 1/25/20 and the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company in Lansdale, PA on 1/26/20 with Cold Climb It, Bloom, For Lack of a Term.Thoughtful post-punk band with titles infused with cultural nostalgia from literature and video games, band members include guitarist and vocalist Tim Balch, guitarist and backing vocalist Chris Waters, bassist Drew Grahn, and drummer Tom Brucker. More than just pop-punk, Andross simply put is a band of smart individuals steeped in at times, surprisingly thoughtful rock. Lyrics occasionally lean political, including the song Pinko paying homage to Green Day's American Idiot. Song titles include allusions to literature, such as "Caligula Deleted Scene" and "the Great Panjandrum" alluding to the wall breaching explosive device of the same name."There's so much music, how do I stand out? People will be very narrow in their approach of songwriting." One way is through the use of creative videos, including the recently released video for "Arms Race" in July of 2019. And the polished release of The Great Panjandrum video in late 2018. The band also found solace in recording with legends. At the LumberYard studio in Hammonton, NJ, a studio project by renown front-men, Ace Enders (The Early November) and Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard), Brucker recounts being molded into a stronger drummer by the former Man Overboard front man. Round Guys Radio welcomed Jesse Gimbel and his highly talented but not named band for a special podcast and performance. Round Guys Radio is hosted by Bill McGeeney, and produced by Mamata Tharima. Learn more about Round Guys Radio by listening wherever podcasts are found, or going to RoundGuysBrewery.com. Performances recorded at UndergroundLansdale.com.--------------Jesse Gimbel appeared on Round Guys Radio’s Music Mashtun episode this November. The show recorded in October prior to Gimbel’s performance at the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company in Lansdale, PA on 11/22/19 with My Familiar and Pulling Daisies.Best described as modern folk with mixtures with catchy pop-rock sounds, the band plays an eclectic sound driven by members Andy Williams (drummer), Robbie Simmons (bass), and Bianca Cevoli (keys). Gimbel maintains a notable regional name thanks in part due to the band’s impressive onstage presence but also from his very theatrical, diy approach to marketing. Gimbel describes building from scratch a scene where he drove a car into a lake for the ‘Move or Move On’ video. In the current environment, Gimbel feels it’s best to build innovate, catchy tracks over albums, which accordingly should narrate a complete musical story. To this end, the band focuses on building individual tracks specifically to deliver impressive stand alone sounds. In addition to making unique, folky music, Gimbel runs a basement studio where notable performers such as Victor Traps and Ryan Tennis have recorded. The Jesse Gimbel experience doesn’t solely derive from one man. It is an all hands on deck collaboration. Singer and keys, Bianca Cevoli maintains a longstanding college founded music related relationship with Gimbel. A lifelong guitarist, Cevoli, only took up keys as a serious endeavor after receiving the call to join Gimbel for his new project. She describes her role as multi-instrumental involving both keys and percussion, depending on the moment and the song. Meanwhile, bassist Simmons joined the band after responding to a post by Gimbel in need of a bass player for a gig on the self described world’s hottest day.Find out more about Jesse Gimbel via Facebook, JesseGimbel.com, and Jessie Gimbel’s bandcamp page. About "Burden." Girl Science churns a potent cauldron derived from "self-doubt, love, and the dangers of lust."The Melancholy duo, Girl Science, joined us in the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company in June of 2019. Girl Science infuses a deliriously accessible heart tugging sound with catchy guitar chords. Lead singer, Savvy, projects much farther than her 5' nothing stature makes apparent at first sight. Savvy's ability to "build the cathedral" and Jason Ray's ability to layer in the orchestra behind her sneak peaks an intimate opening into Savvy's soul. Host Bill McGeeney and Eric "Annie Christ" Torres explore the emphatic, almost at times telepathic, relationship between the two band members. Rather, its inspired by the rush from skydiving. There's a lot going on in this song. First, the lyrics "this could be such a splendid way to die...it feels so good to be alive" directly refers to the adrenaline rush the band felt when they used to perform at a sky diving event in New England, followed by AM jumps. Second, music geeks be on notice, the main verse riff starts as 8 notes, then drops to 7 next go round, then to 6, 5 and so on.Support the show (http://Facebook.com/RoundGuysRadio)

It all started when Brendan Johnson turned his back on corporate America to pursue his true dream of music. A Manayunk fixture, Johnson found himself playing open mics before he bumped into Katie O’Donnell, his future musical partner who’d help him forge the sound that he be described as a folk jam band. Stella Ruze returns to the Underground on November 30th prior to going back into the studio for their third album release. This time, a full twelve track album is on the slate. The Original Slacker podcast sat down to discuss the musical evolution of the band from just two individuals to, now, seven. They’re a big band, with a full body sound, and a light-weight spirit. Stella Ruze in many ways presents itself as a jack of all sounds, but in truth, the possess a modern folk backbone complete with complementary male/female harmonization. In this interview, Brendan Johnson and Katie O’Donnell joined host Bill McGeeney to perform upcoming album song “the Greater Dog.” The Original Slacker podcast Music Mashtun is presented by Round Guys Brewing Company and recorded on location at the Underground venue in Lansdale, PA.
