In this episode of Meet the Investor, we're joined by Kyle McCarthy, Executive Vice President and Private Credit Strategist at PIMCO, the world's largest fixed-income manager with over $2 trillion in assets under management. Kyle takes us into the world of asset-based lending, a growing segment within private credit, where PIMCO has deployed over $190 billion in the last decade. Kyle breaks downs the diverse components of asset-based lending, including consumer finance areas like auto loans, credit cards, and student loans, as well as non-consumer categories such as aviation finance, equipment leasing, and even royalties from music and pharmaceuticals. He also explains how these pools of loads offer unique diversification benefits compared to traditional corporate lending. We explore how structural shifts in banking have opened opportunities in this sector and how PIMCO leverages its deep expertise in analytics to navigate this complex and evolving market. stanfordbrown.com.au Music provided by: Autumn Trumpet Background Corporate by LesFM | https://lesfm.net/ Music promoted by https://www.chosic.com/free-music/all/ Creative Commons CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

(00:00 – 3:21) - The Indy Eleven walked off the pitch with a tie against Phoenix Rising FC last week. It was a tie that felt like a win and at least got the club one point in the standings. Preview of USL matchups happening Saturday night as the Eleven do not play until Sunday. (6:21 – 19:16) - It is time for Mark Lowry's weekly appearance on the program. Lowry was not on the show last week due to the time zone shift in Phoenix and the business of the team's schedule. Lowry was impressed with the team's performance against Phoenix. Rising has been a solid team at home this past season so the Eleven's ability to slow the game down and play at their own pace was needed. Lowry is most concerned about the opposing team's coach in their Sunday matchup against the Rio Grande Valley Toros. He says that their coach is a constant adjustor who doesn't play a team the same way game after game, and it will require frequent adjusting. (22:16 – 31:06) - Sid Van Drunen is on the show for segment three. The IUPUI Jaguars head coach talks about the start to the soccer season for the team. How has the transfer portal affected teams like IUPUI on a season-to-season basis. Drunen has a former Indy Eleven player on the Jag's roster this season. The Jag's have an opportunity to get their season off to a 3 – 0 start pending the result of their game with Oakland today. (34:06 – 48:50) - Kyle McCarthy of the New England Soccer Journal joins the show. They talk about the resignation of Bruce Arena as the New England Revolution's head coach. This follows him being placed on administrative leave after making insensitive remarks on July 30th. McCarthy believes there is a chance the exact details of what were said are never known due to the legal process keeping people from being able to openly discuss what exactly he said. Richie Williams was then named and unnamed interim head coach in quick fashion, most players seemed to not want Williams as coach. (51:50 – 56:45) - The show closes out with a Champion's League recap and list of upcoming matches this weekend. Welcome To Rexham review with two new episodes debuting over the past week.
Host Meg Wolitzer presents three stories that cross generations. In Justin Torres's “Trash Kites,” performed by Colman Domingo, teens find beauty in scarcity. And a tutor tries to create a bond with her privileged student in “Ancient Rome” by Kyle McCarthy, performed by Tavi Gevinson.

On the November 9th, 2019 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, host Angelo Di Carlo interviews 2009 Notre Dame football captain and safety Kyle McCarthy. McCarthy grew up Irish Catholic and returned to Notre Dame in 2014 as a graduate assistant coach with hopes of one day becoming Notre Dame's head coach. But he quickly learned that he had stage 3 testicular cancer. He says his Catholic faith helped guide him through those difficult times. Now he's married with a 2-year old and this week announced he was five years cancer free. Kyle is now an NFL agent, saying his cancer battle made him want to have more stability at home instead of going into coaching. It's an inspirational interview you won't want to miss. Giovani dos Santos says he’s in “the best moment” of his career. Yeah, no kidding. Two goals and two assists from the Mexican No. 10 helped the Galaxy run away from Orlando on Sunday. Oh, and Landon Donovan made his LA debut – that’s important, too. The guys break down the hot and cold of the MLS Cup playoff race, including another Red Bulls’ collapse and Jozy Altidore going beast mode against Chicago. Remember, it’s red line time in MLS. It’s also US Open Cup time, with FC Dallas set to host New England on Tuesday for the right to hoist the Lamar Hunt trophy (10 pm ET; ESPN2 in the US, MLS LIVE in Canada). A couple veteran MLS scribes join the guys to preview a match that could play. Steve Davis gives the FC Dallas side, while Kyle McCarthy checks in from New England before a flight to Frisco. Who’ll take the trophy? The guys are split. In the mailbag, Andrew, David and Calen attempt to build out the perfect playoff field, LD’s number choice is explained and a listener/scout emails in search of swag.
It is a USA gameday, and it is a Filibuster listen day! Jason, Adam, and Ben are back to talk about a couple of D.C. United games and the USMNT. We start with the two most recent games, the US Open Cup loss to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on penalty kicks and the 0-0 draw to the Houston Dynamo in MLS regular season play. We talk about our feelings about these two results, as well as the lack of creativity shown across the field and what they can do better. We talk about D.C. United's formation, the debut of Jalen Robinson in MLS, and, of course, we have to talk about Chris Durkin. We then talk about tonight's USMNT matchup against Argentina, including the changes Jurgen Klinsmann is going to have to make to both his players and maybe to his formation. We take this opportunity to crack open the Twitterbox as well to talk about potential throwback jerseys for D.C. United. After the break we bring on Kyle McCarthy of the Boston Hearld to preview D.C. United's upcoming game against the New England Revolution. We talk about the Revs' up and down season so far, their midfield, and how Kei Kamara has fit in with their striker corps. We talk about the play of Andrew Farrell and Lee Nguyen, whether or not Juan Agudelo will still be with the Revs at season's end, and our old friend Charlie Davies before asking Kyle to gameplan the Revs for us. Give it a listen!
Homegrown Player Ben Swanson joins Dwight Burgess and Neil Sika on this episode of Inside Crew SC to talk about his MLS debut, youth national team experience and more. Plus, the hosts are joined by the voice of the New York Red Bulls, Steve Cangialosi, and the assistant editor and senior writer of the New England Soccer Journal, Kyle McCarthy, in preparation of Columbus' upcoming match hosting RBNY.

World champs! There’s only one way to start the show, and that’s with a complete breakdown of the United States’ victory in the Women’s World Cup final. Forget victory, though. This was a 90-minute celebration led by hat-trick hero Carli Lloyd. Simon called it, and so did Chelsea Ladies head coach Emma Hayes, who joins the guys to explain why the USWNT are still at the top of the women’s game. Now that you’ve finally caught your breath after a hectic month of June, it’s time to dip your toes in CONCACAF waters. The Gold Cup starts Tuesday, and Andrew, Simon and David all agree that the USMNT are the favorites. But what’s their weakness? And how will Dempsey react to his demotion from captain? Fox Sports’ Kyle McCarthy joins to answer those questions and more. It’s time to get CONCACAF’d! Of course, MLS won’t stop for the Gold Cup, and there’s plenty to talk about on the domestic front. First, David and Andrew introduce Arielle Castillo, then the discussion shifts to some guy named Andrea Pirlo, who is NYCFC’s newest DP. But what about Giovani dos Santos? And why is Andrew eating crow. Tune in to find out.
Boston Herald writer and FOX Soccer editor Kyle McCarthy discusses Klinsmann's national team camps and we go around MLS. In the second segment, Sporting KC defender Jalil Anibaba checks into talk about Game of Thrones, playing outside back, and the lighter side of Peter Vermes.
The latest USMNT roster is out, and the guys break down the ins and outs of Jurgen Klinsmann's choices. The biggest questions, obviously, surround Landon Donovan? Should he start? How should his legacy be honored? Will he cry? Plus, how will the group change ahead of Honduras? Meanwhile, in MLS, the battle is on for the Supporters' Shield and MVP award. It comes down to the LA Galaxy and the Seattle Sounders and Robbie Keane and Obafemi Martins. Who's side are you on? Fox Soccer's Kyle McCarthy knows who his vote is going to. Out East, some are wondering whether Jermaine Jones is proving he's the better of the two USMNT Designated Players that have arrived since the new year. Michael Bradley would have something to say about that. Also, what's going on with Tim Cahill in New York? Last, but certainly not least, listeners wonder whether Donovan's assist mark is cheapened by second assists and what it would take to get Simon on SnapChat. Email us at ExtraTime@MLSsoccer.com or tweet us at @ExtraTimeRadio. And make sure you check out our West Coast brethren at March to the Match every Wednesday!
