Graeme is an old friend of the podcast. We look back here at various key points in the story including ... … why the way she made records was ahead of its time. … the ‘70s footage and recordings that were “supressed”. … the “reclusive” decade and how the press filled the vacuum. … divinely daft and humorous TV appearances eg with Delia Smith: “Waldorf Salad – that's got waldorfs in it!” … her bohemian childhood and the powerful influence of male counterparts, particularly eldest brother and erotic poet John Carder Bush. … the unconventional Smash Hits interview of 1981. … the ‘Before the Dawn' concerts and the reason she staged them. … her seven-year stand-off with Top Of The Pops. … her ‘70s rock group – the KT Bush Band (still going!) – and the songs they played eg The Stealer by Free, Brooklyn by Steely Dan, Shame Shame Shame by Johnny Winter. … Danny Baker's NME review – “nothing she writes about matters”. … Pamela Stephenson's vicious pastiche and Alan Partridge's part in her comeback. ... Pastor Isaac shares from Genesis 3 on the story of the fall of man in the garden of eden and the birth of shame. Shame is causes us to hide, it is faithlessness, and it is an open door to resurrecting sin and pain.

In this episode Kyle and Chris discuss shame. Is it a good thing, or a bad thing...or perhaps both simultaneously? We discuss Michael Malice's book "The White Pill" and focus on the communist dictum that shame is contradictory to communist philosophy. We recount Kyle's recent near death experience and get a little mystical with some highlights from Dr. Bernard Haisch's book "The God Theory" and Alan Watt's "Beyond Theology." Enjoy ;)
Mama B. weighs in on the events of March 27 through April 13, a very shameful and consequential history making more than two weeks for the state of Tennessee and American Democracy. She talks about the mass shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville and the stupid but not surprising political missteps of Republicans in the Tennessee House in dealing with gun reform protestors and The Tennessee Three. She also brings up some interesting points mostly not considered in the reporting done by mainstream and cable media. As usual, Mama B. gives you something to think about.
During an Ohio House committee meeting on an August ballot measure to make it harder to change the Ohio Constitution, members shut off debate without opposition input. Cries of "shame" rang out from the audience. On this week's episode of Snollygoster, Ohio's politics podcast from WOSU, hosts Mike Thompson and Steve Brown discuss the future of the effort.
As you have no doubt heard by now, the state legislature in Tennessee, on a near party-line vote, decided to steal expel and remove 2 young Black legislators not just from the room, but from their elected office. It's an abomination. American democracy has always been more of an ideal and aspiration than a reality. But the covers were pulled off yesterday. And something that I have never seen in my lifetime happened. Today I want to shine a light on the bravery of Justin Jones and Justin Pearson and tell you what I think will happen next. Let me unpack and explain it. In this episode, Savannah and Julie discuss the shame that causes many male-to-female crossdressers to continually hide who they are in terms of their developing dual gender identity and need for periodic feminine expression. Why is it so many build bunkers around their hearts and minds purely set on protecting this ultimate secret of the authentic self? Fox and the Phoenix take a stab at dissecting the reasons why and how to slowly break down their self-imposed (and socially-indoctrinated) walls.
