America is watching Black political power come under attack in real time—but this story didn't start with today's headlines. In this urgent conversation, Amanda sits down with Tennessee Representative Justin J. Pearson to unpack the centuries-old playbook of minority rule: how powerful elites divide us, redraw the maps, and rig the system to hold onto power. Amanda traces the hidden history—from Reconstruction to today's gerrymandering battles—to reveal why Black political power has long been the greatest threat to oligarchy. Then, Representative Justin J. Pearson shares what he's witnessing on the ground in Tennessee, where attacks on Black representation are reshaping democracy in real time. We explore how communities can organize, build power, and fight back—and why hope remains a discipline, even now. - Why attacks on Black political power are really about protecting elite minority rule- How racialized redistricting is reshaping the South and the upcoming midterms - Why the Voting Rights Act became a target—and what's at stake now - Why multiracial coalitions have always terrified those in power- What Rep. Pearson says ordinary people can do right now to fight back To support Representative Pearson, go to: https://www.votejustinj.com/ About Rep. Pearson: Representative Justin J. Pearson is a Tennessee state legislator, community organizer, environmental justice advocate, and candidate for Tennessee's 9th Congressional District. A lifelong Memphian, Pearson first gained prominence organizing grassroots campaigns that took on some of the most powerful corporate interests in the country. He helped lead the successful fight to stop the Byhalia Pipeline, protecting the drinking water of more than a million residents, and has organized campaigns to challenge environmental pollution, corporate exploitation, and policies that harm working families. His advocacy has included efforts to stop unfair utility contracts, hold polluters accountable, and push for stronger protections for Memphis's air, water, and soil. In 2023, Pearson became a national voice for democracy and gun safety as one of the "Tennessee Three," after being expelled from the Tennessee House by the GOP supermajority for participating in a protest calling for action following the Covenant School shooting. He was later reinstated and returned to office, Today, Pearson continues to advocate for voting rights, environmental justice, economic fairness, and democratic participation. He is currently running for Congress in Tennessee's 9th District, where he has been a leading voice against racial gerrymandering and efforts to dilute Black political power. Dahron Johnson grew up surrounded by voices. Thousands of books in her parents' home, two people who met in divinity school, and a faith that taught her every person is fearfully and wonderfully made. And still, for decades, she could not find the words for who she was.In this episode, Anne-Marie sits down with her dear friend Dahron, a clinically trained chaplain, a tireless advocate, and the first openly trans person to speak from the floor of the Tennessee House. The two of them share roots in the North, in the church, and in the long work of coming home to themselves. They move through faith and the work of welcome, the cost of advocacy in Tennessee right now, and what it means to hold the whole person rather than the narrow slice the world finds convenient. Then the conversation turns inward. Dahron walks us through the years of living with no language and no container to put herself in, the ballet class and the leotard, the three days she spent tucked into the corner of a closet, and the hope bargain she made with herself to survive. She tells us about the lung collapses and the tumor that kept whispering there was a self she had never let herself know. And she brings us to the end of a therapist's driveway, the left turn and the right turn, the moment fifty years finally crystallized into one decision. As we await word of a possible announcement by President Trump about a final peace agreement with Iran, MAGA begins reclaiming congressional seats in the south, and Tennessee becomes the epicenter of democrat rage. Angry members of the Tennessee House and hundreds of protestors overtake the state capitol and behave in manners, shall we say, that are... unbecoming? Listen and decide for yourself as Mississippi, Louisiana and South Carolina begin their own redistricting which will mean long-time leftists James Clyburn and Bennie Thompson will be bounced from Congress.
Tennessee Republicans moved decisively to redraw congressional maps, and the left completely lost its mind. Todd breaks down why Tennessee leaders acted while Indiana Republicans backed away, what redistricting really means for the political future of America, and why the radical left's response reveals exactly what conservatives are up against. From chaos on the Tennessee House floor to the broader fight over constitutional government, free markets, border security, and truth itself, this episode connects the dots between political power and the battle for America's future. Plus, Todd reacts to Mark Hamill's disturbing anti-Trump social media post and explains why conservatives must stop being intimidated by leftist outrage.

Host Brooklyn Morgan sits down with Tennessee Pharmacists Association CEO Anthony Pudlo to discuss the landmark FAIR Rx Act (SB2040/HB1959). They discuss the impact the FAIR Rx Act will have on independent pharmacies by unmasking the middleman and the multi-million-dollar campaign CVS undertook to try and undermine the bill's passing. Pudlo detailed how NCPA's State Panel of Experts enhanced the Tennessee Pharmacists Association's work on this bill and provided advice for other states looking to pass similar legislation. Since recording this episode, the FAIR Rx Act has passed both the Tennessee House and Senate and awaits Governor Bill Lee's signature. To connect with NCPA's State Panel of Experts, click here.
The Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives Cameron Sexton (R) gives us insight to the last bills passed during this legislative session. Here are some of the main points. AIRPORTS- From the 9 member board of the Nashville Airport Authority, 6 state appointments and 3 local appointments. Sexton says, "We put in a lot of money, we have done a lot of things to help the airport, and so we are saying we want some picks on the board. The mayor still has picks, the governor and 2 Speakers have picks. When asked why change the Airport Authority when it is already successful? Sexton added, "It's not a power grab, I would say if you're investing $50, $100, $150 million dollars into something, wouldn't you want to have people on the board to make sure that your investment is doing well?" AFFORDABILITY- Sexton says that the state has temporarily reduced taxes several times, Cracked down on PBMs, struck down laws preventing hospitals from expanding and created workforce housing. Sexton says, "We are already an affordable state and will continue to be that way." SCHOOL VOUCHERS AND ESA- Although the state of Tennessee ranks 47th out of 50 states for student funding per capita, Sexton believes private schools with students who already attend private school are justified in receiving the $7530 Education Freedom Scholarship (an increase from last year from $7295) to go directly to pay a portion of private school tuition. The 3.2% increase would remain consistent with per-pupil base increase in the TISA formula, but less per student than what is given to private schools. When it comes to testing, public schools use TCAP, and was required for students using Education Savings Account money for private school, but without TCAP used, how will private schools show student competency? "The private schools are going to tell us what standardized test they are using. Because we want to know what that is. What I think we need to do is look at those tests, look at the TCAP and allow the public schools to use whichever national standardized test that they want to and that's fair... It would be a fascinating argument which they would choose." NewsChannel 5+ can be seen on Spectrum/Charter Ch. 182 and over the air on Ch. 5.2. It's Friday, March 13th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Why some Iranians dance during war Why are some Iranians dancing while war is unfolding in their country? For more than 47 years, the Islamic regime ruling Iran has governed through fear, oppression, and bloodshed, reports International Christian Concern. The hands of this regime are stained with the blood of thousands of Iranian and American citizens. It has been one of the world's leading sponsors of terrorism, spreading violence far beyond Iran's borders. At home, it has relentlessly persecuted Christians — executing some, imprisoning many, and forcing countless others into exile. Believers have been torn from their families, their homes, and their homeland, scattered across the world simply because they chose to follow Jesus Christ. When some Iranians celebrate or dance these days, it is not because they love war. It is because they have lived for decades under a darkness that few outside the country can fully comprehend. For many Iranians, these moments carry the fragile hope that the long night of oppression may finally be nearing its end. And freedom might be dawning once again. Congress hopes to Safeguard Women from Chemical Abortion On Wednesday, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri took to the podium in the Senate Judiciary hearing room to deliver a clear message: the abortion pill Mifepristone is not just risky — it's “inherently dangerous.” And it's up to Congress to regulate it, reports The Washington Stand. At a press conference, the Missouri senator unveiled his new legislation, the Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act. This bill seeks to strip Mifepristone — the drug responsible for the majority of U.S. abortions — of its longstanding approval from the Food and Drug Administration. According to recent data from the Guttmacher Institute, chemical abortions made up 63% of all abortions in 2023, with the trend only accelerating in the years since. Senator Hawley didn't hold back, blasting the FDA for letting mail-order shipments flood the country, wiping out state-level protections for the unborn and leaving women to face severe complications. HAWLEY: “In 11% of cases, women who take the drug, Mifepristone for use in an abortion experience a serious adverse health event. Now, that's the technical term. What it means, in practice, is internal infections, sepsis, hemorrhaging, a trip to the emergency room, a life-threatening condition. In 11% of cases!” Hawley added, “It is time for Congress to do something about this racket, And it is a racket. It is time for Congress to ban the use of Mifepristone for abortion, and it is time for Congress to give the victims — the survivors — … the right to recover.” He framed the fight as a double victory: shielding vulnerable women from what many see as a profit-driven chemical experiment and protecting unborn life when the courts and agencies will not. Call your Congressman today and urge him or her to vote for The Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act. The number is 202-224-3121. That's 202-224-3121. You can call and get a live operator 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and simply leave a message. The manufacturers and distributors of this heinous Abortion Kill Pill are well described in Isaiah 59:7. “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” Armed man rammed truck into Michigan synagogue On Thursday, authorities say a man, armed with a rifle, rammed his truck into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, before the vehicle caught fire, prompting an active shooter response, reports NewsNation. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said the synagogue's security team engaged the suspect with gunfire after he breached the building and drove down a hallway. The suspect was later found dead. His body was badly burned. BOUCHARD: “No kids, this is the important thing, no kids or no staff was injured whatsoever. One of the lead security people was hit by the car and was taken to the hospital for treatment. That individual should be okay.” The sheriff said the suspect appears to have been the only person in the vehicle. CNN host makes humiliating on-air correction after getting NYC terror attack story wrong During a “Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City” rally on Saturday, two men were arrested for throwing improvised explosive devices at anti-Islam protesters. Authorities later discovered these men were inspired by the Islamic State terrorist group. The incident took place outside Gracie Mansion, the official residence of New York Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani. However, CNN's Abby Phillip, host of “NewsNight,” claimed on Tuesday that the men were not targeting the crowd, but the mayor, a Muslim himself, reports The Western Journal. PHILLIP: “Two Republicans say Muslims don't belong here after an attempted terror attack on New York Mayor Zohran Mamdami.” Samuel Short wrote, “The intent was obvious as CNN and Phillip would love to blame anyone who criticizes Islam as a violent terrorist. Oh, the irony.” On Wednesday morning, Phillip published a correction on the social media platform X. She also issued a correction on air Wednesday night. PHILIP: “This morning I issued a correction first thing in the morning, on X, for a mistake that I made in last night's show. But I also wanted to do so on air as well. “I incorrectly said that the bombs that were thrown by ISIS-inspired suspects in New York over the weekend were directed at Mayor Mamdani. They were not. I failed to catch and correct that mistake in real time, and I take full responsibility for that.” Former Southern Baptist Convention President entered hospice Former Southern Baptist Convention President Steve Gaines, age 68, has entered hospice care, over two years after he was diagnosed with kidney cancer, reports The Christian Post. Bellevue Baptist Church Pastor Ben Mandrell, who replaced Gaines as lead pastor of the Cordova, Tennessee-based megachurch last year, wrote a letter to the congregation earlier this week explaining the situation. He wrote, “Steve has faithfully served the Lord and shepherded so many people through the years. He's been a great pastor, mentor and friend. Let's honor him and his family by lifting them up before the Lord.” Butler Bill, which prohibited teaching evolution, signed into law And finally, on this day, March 13, 1925, Tennessee Governor Austin Peay signed the "Butler Bill” which prohibited the teaching of the false theory of macro evolution in public schools. The law was introduced by Tennessee House of Representatives member John Washington Butler, for whom the law was named. The law was challenged and upheld later that year in a famous trial in Dayton, Tennessee called the Scopes Trial which involved a raucous confrontation between prosecution attorney and Christian leader, William Jennings Bryan, and prominent defense attorney and religious agnostic, Clarence Darrow. On parental rights, Bryan said, “The parents have a right to say that no teacher, paid by their money, shall rob their children of faith in God.” On the nature of evolution, Bryan said, "The first objection to Darwinism is that it is only a guess and was never anything more. It is millions of guesses strung together.” And, on his Christian worldview, Bryan said, "I would rather begin with God and reason down than begin with a piece of dirt and reason up.” Sadly, William Jennings Bryan died five days after the Scopes Trial concluded. The Butler Law was not repealed until 1967. Genesis 1:1 declares, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, March 13th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Join Kosta and his guest: Trenton Strode, Vice President of Putnam County Young Democrats, District Representative of Putnam County Democratic Party and Candidate for Putnam County Commission District 11. In this episode: You're running multiple races in 2026. As we said earlier, you'll be seeking one of the two seats in Putnam County Commission District 11, but you've also announced and qualified on the ballot to run against Incumbent Ryan Williams for Tennessee House of Representatives District 42. Why? As our listeners might remember, last summer you were arrested and charged with a felony at the June 2025 Putnam County Commission meeting. Several months later those charges were dropped and you are now pursuing your own bid for Putnam County Commission District 11. We're not here to rehash the events of last summer, but I'm curious the impact it had on your decision to run and the explosion of democratic candidates running in our local 2026 elections? On social media the Putnam County Republican Party has taken every opportunity to link Putnam County Democratic Party, Putnam County Young Democrats and anyone that puts a (D) next to their name with as much political chaos and bad behavior as possible. Angela Rye speaks with state representative Justin Jones from Tennessee’s 52nd District (Nashville). Rep. Jones hit the national political spotlight after being expelled from the Tennessee House for joining a gun control protest. He brings that same energy to countering the immigration raids that have been plaguing Nashville; recently, he was barred from even being in the same room as DHS Secretary Kristi Noem during her press conference in his district. Angela Rye and Rep Jones discuss the politics of divide and conquer. Rep. Jones and Rep. Many listeners may not be aware that, along with other red states like Texas, Tennessee has been a red state incubator for the Heritage Foundation's plans for this country as most recently stated in their Project 2025 agenda. My state's role as both an incubator and implementer of Project 2025 has been going on for almost a decade now but especially since Trump regained office this past January. I think I can safely say: “What often happens in the Tennessee legislature, does not stay in the state of Tennessee.”In this podcast episode recorded at the end of April before the ICE traffic stops and arrests started in Nashville, I interviewed Tennessee House Rep for District #51 representing downtown Nashville and East Nashville, Aftyn Behn. As a member of the superminority in the state legislature, we discuss what she considers the highs and lows of this year's Tennessee House session, what will be the end results of some of the laws enacted this session, along with a little bit about the budget our Governor signed too. Listeners will be able to find more details on all we discussed at AftynBehn.com and on her Substack. So grab a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea and settle in for what is sure to be an interesting listen. . . Mama B.

It's Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 673 incidents of persecution of Christians in India Christians face daily persecution in 23 of India's 28 states. Such persecution includes physical violence, murder, threats, damage to property, and disruption of prayer services. A.C. Michael with United Christian Forum said, “In 2023, we recorded about 750 incidents, which means two Christians were attacked every day in our country. These are organized acts of violence by pro-Hindu groups targeting Christian faiths.” The organization's latest report documented 673 incidents of violence and discrimination this year between January and October. India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian. Ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Hezbollah militants in Lebanon that went into effect yesterday. This brings a two-month pause to 14 months of fighting between to the two sides in southern Lebanon. The United States and France brokered the agreement. The incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump claimed credit for the deal. Florida Rep. Mike Waltz is Trump's pick for national security adviser. He posted on X, “Everyone is coming to the table because of President Trump. His resounding victory sent a clear message to the rest of the world that chaos won't be tolerated. I'm glad to see concrete steps towards de-escalation in the Middle East.” China released three detained American citizens Speaking of coming to the table, China released three American citizens it had detained for years. The White House announced the prisoner swap yesterday. The three Americans are Mark Swidan, Kai Li, and John Leung. The United States had designated them as wrongfully detained. This comes just months after China released David Lin, a Christian pastor from California, who was detained for 20 years in China. Judged halted sentencing of 7 pro-life activists Last Tuesday, a federal judge in Michigan halted the sentencing of seven pro-life activists. The pro-lifers were convicted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. Some faced over 10 years in prison for protesting at abortion mills. Judge Matthew Leitman delayed proceedings until after Donald Trump takes office. Trump has already promised to review the cases of those “unjustly victimized by the Biden regime” and get them “back to their families where they belong.” Supreme Court takes up Tennessee transgender case The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in a major transgender case next Wednesday. The case involves a Tennessee law that protects children from transgender drugs and procedures intended to enable children to pretend to be the opposite sex. Tennessee House of Representatives Majority Leader William Lamberth co-sponsored the measure. He told Reuters, “This case is about protecting vulnerable young people who are experiencing gender dysphoria or other mental health crises from making the biggest mistake of their lives.” You can sign a prayer commitment for the case through Alliance Defending Freedom which is linked in today's transcript at TheWorldview.com. U.S. economy grew 2.8% The U.S. economy grew by 2.8% on an annual basis during the third quarter of this year. The Gross Domestic Product is slightly down from 3% during the second quarter. However, the U.S. has seen growth of over 2% for eight out of the last nine quarters. Consumer spending, along with an increase in exports, contributed the latest economic growth. America's history of Thanksgiving The first official National Proclamation of Thanksgiving in America was issued by the Continental Congress on November 1, 1777, in celebration of the victory against the British at the Battle of Saratoga. In 1941, as America confronted a world at war, Congress voted to establish Thanksgiving as a national holiday. In his first Thanksgiving proclamation, President Ronald Reagan wrote: “America has much for which to be thankful. The unequaled freedom enjoyed by our citizens has provided a harvest of plenty to this Nation throughout its history. In keeping with America's heritage, one day each year is set aside for giving thanks to God for all of His blessings. … “Searching our hearts, we should ask what we can do as individuals to demonstrate our gratitude to God for all He has done. Such reflection can only add to the significance of this precious day of remembrance. “Let us recommit ourselves to that devotion to God and family that has played such an important role in making this a great Nation, and which will be needed as a source of strength if we are to remain a great people.” Most popular Thanksgiving verses And finally, Lifeway Research shared the most popular Bible verses during Thanksgiving based on analysis from YouVersion's Bible app. Verses from the Psalms were among the most popular verses in recent years. Lifeway shared 11 verses that appeared on the list of most popular verses at Thanksgiving at least twice during the last five years. Here are the top three: Numbers 6:24-26 says, “May the Lord bless you and protect you; may the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.” 1 Chronicles 16:34 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 100:4-5 says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good, and His faithful love endures forever; His faithfulness, through all generations.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28th, in the year of our Lord 2024. On Friday's Mark Levin Show, we vote to elect politicians who make our streets more dangerous - take our property from us, and we shake our heads. The hypocrisy of the left continues to be out of control. From the Tennessee House which is currently getting a lot of attention from the major media after the expulsion of 2 State Representatives. The media is trying to create a racial issue, they want Americans in a constant state of hate and anger. Also, Democratic executive orders are rampant - pushing for more electric cars, trying to get rid of high-end gas stoves, lightbulbs, toilet paper and now AM radio. Pushing changes and the silencing of the conservative media through vehicle manufacturers. This is all about control. This is all driven from the degrowth movement, whose ultimate goal is to destroy capitalism. Our ruling class is constantly imposing their will in a way that doesn't make sense at all. Later, the Democrats continue to push their agenda in public schools. They are pushing gender identity, not gender biology in sports. The Biden administration has destroyed Title IX, which was supposed to ensure that women have a fair opportunity to participate in sports. 50 years of progress in women's sports is now gone. When you're young, you can only take so much b.s. And when you watch a bunch of older white racist Southern men — i.e., the Republican supermajority of the Tennessee House of Representatives — attack two young black elected House members for “improper decorum” when they spoke out against gun violence just two days after the mass school shooting last week in Nashville, well racist acts are nothing new to the state where the KKK was born. So last night the Tennessee House Republicans expelled the two young Black Democratic representatives for daring to give voice to those too young to vote — but old enough to be killed at school. It was a stunning moment in the fight against those who seek to destroy our Democracy. In this Emergency Podcast System episode of Rumble, recorded moments after the final vote, Mike reveals the silver lining: the more young adults who watch the footage of this travesty, the sooner we will witness the eventual demise of the white man's Republican Party. ******************** Watch the Tennessee House debate and vote on Resolutions to remove Democratic Representatives Justin Jones, Gloria Johnson, and Justin Pearson online at C-Span.org: https://www.c-span.org/video/?527219-1/tennessee-general-assembly-votes-expel-democrats&live&vod ******************** Write to Mike: mike@michaelmoore.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rumble-with-michael-moore/message
