We find ourselves doing grunt work for Atrus once more as our favorite self-published author and god of his own realms begins reaping what he's sown over the last two games. We solve some puzzles, enjoy Brad Dourif, and talk about the kind of guy who keeps going around birthing entire worlds. Exile was good fun, happy to dip back into the world of Myst once again.

Episode Summary Fans have mixed reactions to the ending of Naruto, specifically the Fourth Great Shinobi World War. One of the most significant factors of the war was Kabuto's use of the Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation aka edo tensei. Characters like Asuma, Nagato, Itachi, and Madara came back to life in the war along with many other powerful friends and foes. However, there were some characters that could have been brought back but weren't. In this episode, we talk about some characters that could have been summoned with edo tensie and the impact they'd have on the show like Fugaku Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Sakumo Hatake, and more. Which characters did you want to see get brought back into the war? Alex Kidd[a] is a video game character whose popularity peaked during the late 1980s and who was the protagonist of both a series of video games released by Sega and their fictional universe, as well as in numerous spin-offs such as novelizations and comics. Alex Kidd is the protagonist of several video games, spanning various platforms, and appeared in the arcade and on the Master System and Mega Drive/Genesis home consoles. Alex Kidd's popularity was at a peak with the release of the first game in the series, Alex Kidd in Miracle World in 1986. However, Sega wished to have a mascot to rival Nintendo's flagship character Mario, a task which Alex Kidd was not considered up to. In 1991, Sega introduced Sonic the Hedgehog. After this, Alex Kidd fell into obscurity as the development of new games in the series had stopped. Despite that, he has made cameo appearances in other games. A remake of the first game was released on June 22, 2021, making it the first main appearance of the character since 1990's Alex Kidd in Shinobi World. My guest today is Omar Cornut, founder of Lizardcube and creator of the recent, and excellent, remake of Wonder Boy : The Dragon's Trap. We talk growing up in Paris and Egypt, the SEGA Computer 3000 (!), how he traded up from a home made Inidiana Jones board game to a Game & Watch, his founding of a video game course while still a student, and why Psycho Fox is burned into his brain. We also hit on Omar's role in the emulation scene of the late nineties when he created MEKA, one of the best Master System emulators, his time at Media Molecule, the complicated IP history of Wonder Boy, and how his quest to seek out every secret in The Dragon's Trap led to the founding of a company and the creation of a game. "What was that? An exhibition? I said emotional content, not anger. Now try again!" During intense chakra training, Fi sensed a disturbance in the ninja world. Seeing no other choice, she chose a hero from another world and bestowed upon him sweet ninja powers. Also, she may or may not have orchestrated the abduction of that hero's girlfriend so he'd have incentive to deal with Ninja World's big bad. That's the plot of this game, +/- 5%.
