The Wild Sheep Foundation is growing and is pleased to announce the formation and official charter of the Southeast Chapter of WSF! The mission of the Southeast Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation is to build a community of conservationists to raise resources in support of scientific wild sheep management practices and habitat improvement. This is to ensure that future generations will enjoy the healthy populations of North America's sheep herds. We are a volunteer organization dedicated to sharing our passion for mountain hunting, educating the public and youth about the sustainable use of mountain resources, and highlighting the important role hunters play in wildlife conservation, regardless of where we live. Sheep Fever co-host Gray N. Thornton visits with SE Chapter Steering Committee member Patrick Morse of Ponte Verde, Florida, on why the chapter was started, its goals, plans, and events for the coming year, as well as the inaugural chapter banquet in May/June of 2025 in Islamorada, FL which will coincide with the Chapter & Affiliate Summit XVII. Christopher Browne is the John and Adrienne Mars Director of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. Browne joined the museum as deputy director in 2017 and served as acting director from 2021 to 2022, when he was named director. He has helped lead the museum's multi-year renovation of its flagship building in Washington, D.C. Browne served as a naval flight officer in the U.S. Navy, flying F-14 Tomcats off the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, making numerous deployments to the Mediterranean, North Atlantic and Caribbean during seven years of active service. Browne amassed over 1,400 flight hours and more than 300 carrier landings, and he is a graduate of the U.S. Navy's “Top Gun” Fighter Weapon School. In 1988, Browne joined the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority where he served in Operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport until selected as the airport manager in 1998. He managed National Airport for seven years; a period that included significant construction and the events of Y2K and 9/11. In 2005, Browne accepted the airport manager position at Washington Dulles International Airport where he led the airport through a pronounced phase of significant growth and development. In addition to managing a staff of over 500 employees, Browne was responsible for an aviation revenue stream exceeding $400 million, as well as the revenues generated on the Dulles Toll Road used to construct the WMATA Metrorail line to Dulles. Browne was awarded the Virginia “Airport Manager of the Year” in 2002 and served as the president of the Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and he serves on the Space Foundation and Aero Club of Washington Boards.

Dr. John Robert “Bobby” Adolph was born April 9, 1966 in Houston, Texas to the late Seymour V., Sr. and Barbara Jean Adolph. He attended East Houston Elementary School, Kirby Middle School and Smiley Senior High School. He entered Texas Southern University on full scholarship in 1984 and received a BBA Degree in December 1989. After being ordained in the ministry by his father, Rev. Seymour Adolph, Sr., at New Hope Baptist Church, Houston TX., in 1992 he continued matriculating at Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, GA. While in Georgia he met and married the love of his life, Dorrie Eileen and they are now the proud parents of two children, Sumone and Jonathan. Upon graduation from Morehouse with a degree of Master of Divinity, Pastor Adolph was called to become the Under Shepherd of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. He accepted this call and has continued to lead the flock for eighteen years. In pursuit to further his education and his desire to learn more of the teachings of religion, he entered the Houston School of Theology and graduated with his doctorate degree. Pastor Adolph is active in many facets of both religious and community affairs. First and foremost he is the Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church; he is on the Board of Directors for Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital, the Board of the National Baptist Convention, Inc. of America, the Board of the I Have a Dream program, the President of the Southeast Chapter of One Church One Child adoption agency, member of the Ministerial Alliance, the CEO of Jehovah Jirou Village, Omega Psi Phi fraternity member, One Hundred Black Men of Greater Beaumont member and an active community advocate. In this episode, we invited a special guest who’s not only a fellow translator but is also qualified to share exercise-related advice! Eva Stabenow is an ATA-certified EnglishGerman translator focused on translating, writing, and adapting consumer-facing medical and health content. She holds a graduate degree in Conference Interpreting and has served the American Translators Association in various roles ranging from division administrator to mentor to certification exam grader. She is also a past president of the Southeast Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association. If you’re an ATA member, you may also know Eva from attending the Mindful Movement sessions during the Annual ATA conference or from her presentations on healthy desk habits and “movement snacks.” Eva was also was a guest on the Speaking of Translation podcast in 2019. Johnson, A.A.E., is the Airport Director for the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority.  From May 1977 to November 1996, she worked in various capacities for the City of Fayetteville, the last 10 years as Assistant Airport Manager at Fayetteville Municipal Airport. Kelly is a private pilot and serves as the First Vice Chair on the National Board of Directors of American Association of Airport Executives as well as on the board of directors for the International Association of Airport Executives.  In addition, she was the former president of the Southeast Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives, a former chairperson of the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the former president of the Arkansas Airport Operators Association.  Kelly has been married for 36 years to her husband, Rick, and they have two children.
