Berlin-based label @Suburban-Avenue releases a V/A compilation featuring 21 unreleased tracks for example from Drafted, Simone Gatto, Cyspe, Tripeo, Kwartz, Leiras and Pär Grindvik. Monument premieres track "Unreleased #1" by @TheGodsPlanet, a duo consisting of two Italian pioneers of hypnotic techno, @ClaudioPRC and @Ness. The Resistance Vol. II is out in digital format on September 23rd.

Erratic Podcast 177 comes straight from Rome curtesy of a fantastic duo, ASYMPTOTE. Originally started by organizing the 'Resistance Is Techno' parties and underground movement around the Italian capital, the duo later created its own techno label, Suburban Avenue, in 2014; and they haven't looked back since. Their latest EP titled 'Belief System' comes out this week (Feb 2nd, 2018) and it includes a wicked remix by the man himself, Oscar Mulero. You can hear this inside the lovely mix they put together as well as two of their original pieces. Il progetto Asymptote ha origine origine dalla dedizione e determinazione che due giovani amici e cugini portano dalla loro regione originaria, la Campania, alla loro nuova casa: la capitale italiana. La loro infatuazione verso le complesse sonorità elettroniche spinge entrambi verso un costante bisogno di sperimentare nuove esperienze musicali, creando una fusione tra le produzioni finali che sono in costante evoluzione, sempre indirizzate verso diverse percezioni. I due sono presto diventati dj resident di uno dei party techno piú conosciuti d'Italia, Resistance is Techno, intraprendendo così un nuovo percorso verso notevoli frontiere che li ha portati, in pochissimi anni, a condividere la console con artisti di tutto rispetto dai quali imparare di volta in volta qualcosa di nuovo e affascinante. I due puntano molto sull'evoluzione e sul dinamismo come punto di fusione tra sonorità old school e avanguardistiche. L'aggettivo "retro-futuristico" descrive le loro sonorità, perchè rappresenta una fusione tra elementi della Detroit di inizi anni '90 e da variabili del tutto nuove, piú dark allo scopo di rappresentare una notevole variazione sul tema, conferendo un ritmo equilibrato che porta a un risultato finale profondo e carismatico. Per dare prova al concetto di cui si parla, gli Asymptote hanno scelto di aprire la vinyl label Suburban Avenue al fine di trovare una posizione definita all'interno dell'attuale scena musicale. Tutto ciò sfocia nel loro primo lavoro, l' Ep "Behind the Scene" che si pone come l'inizio del programma evolutivo della loro musica. Se è vero che il compito di ogni DJ è quello di raccontare una storia, quella che gli Asymptote hanno deciso di narrare ha una trama avvincente, diretta e raffinata mediante la scelta di lessico con un finale sempre assicurato e imprevedibile. We call in christmas with some powerful techno. This time with Kaelan from Italy. 1. What kind of artists inspire you? I'm pretty inspired by detroit and dub techno artists such as Basic Channel, Deepchord, Substance & Vainqueur, Echoplex, Derrick May, Claude Young and more.. 2. What kind of "sound" can we expect from Kaelan? The sound can be described as functional techno with hints of soul. 3. Whats up over there in Italy? Techno tips? I think there are some really interesting upcoming artists, proposing inspiring music... I can think for example at Roberto Bosco, Stenny, Emanuele Pertoldi or my partner in crime Hydergine... they are making outstanding stuff! 4. Whats up with you in the future? Releases, parties, etc Well, i have some ep that will be out in the next year. There is an upcoming vinyl release on my label Subosc, then, another one on Emmanuel's label "Arts". Next to this there will be a follow up ep on Ranges with my bro Roberto Hydergine, an album with "2030" moniker on Suburban Avenue and a lot of new stuff that must be released.
