But few have nailed all three elements quite as well over the last three decades as this week's guest on the show.Blueprint is James Ruskin's label - an absolute foundation of UK techno, and techno generally it should be said, with seminal releases from the likes of DVS1, Mark Broom, Oliver Ho, Sigha, as well as the boss himself. It will soon be celebrating 30 years of releases, which is a pretty incredible achievement. As a producer he's released prolifically outside his own imprint, most notably via an association with Tresor that goes back to the 90s. And as a DJ he's been a key part of the UK scene and beyond for at least that long too.We discuss familiar themes such as the state of the scene today, the comparative challenges of releasing music over a thirty year period, the evolution of his approach to work in the studio, amongst a lot of other stuff besides. This is a great conversation with an absolute key man. Get involved! If you're into what we're doing here on the pod then you can support the show on Patreon! There are two tiers - "Solidarity" for $4 a month, which features the show without ads, regular bonus podcasts, and extra content. And "Musicality" which for a mere $10 a month gets you all the music we release on Hotflush and affiliate labels AND other music too, some of which never comes out anywhere else. You can also make a one-off donation to the podcast using a card, with Paypal, or your Ethereum wallet! We welcome DJ Tool, Hyperaktivist and Nayme who together form the Berlinbased collective Mala Junta. Offering an escape and a safe bonding place for the German capital's queer scene, the group highlight the values of inclusivity, support, friendship and community, and feature a diverse music mix of the faster, funkier, grooving old school techno, effortlessly blended with psychedelic trance and breaks. Their ideals for family and community are further instilled by their strict limited capacity events, making Mala Junta one of Berlin’s best kept rave secrets. In this chat with Nayme, Ana Laura (Hyperaktivist) and Jo-Jo (DJ TOOL) we found out how the three bonded together and became friends well beyond the dancefloor and the events they have been organizing. We explore what it takes to embody and support diversity and inclusion and how dealing with challenging situations is an opportunity to lead by example. We address why we should all be talking openly about hard problems, and - between a few wine glasses and a laugh - we remind ourselves that there is something we all need now more than ever: more humanity, music and connection with each other. Christoph Heinze, better known as Inhalt der Nacht joins us for our next exclusive Home of Sound podcast. Berlin-born, his sound has been shaped by influences from cold wave and new wave, blended seamlessly with elements of the rock music that he was exposed to in his younger days. Having already established his name as one of the most progressive DJ’s in his genre, Christoph has pioneered his own label: Lebendig from which he pushes fellow Dj’s and artists’ productions alongside his own. 2019 saw Christoph’s track “Dosis'' spread through the underground scene of Berlin like wildfire after it appeared on the compilation album “The World of Monom Black” put out by the illustrious Dax J and his eponymous label . Christoph’s eminence nowadays has granted him residency to some of the biggest clubs across Germany including Griessmühle Berlin, Khidi Tbilisi and Rote Sonne Munich In this chat Christoph talks us through his experiences playing and producing techno and also his experimental explorations with theatre scoring in Cuba and eventually in Germany. We delve into Christoph’s past, recounting his first experiences with the underground scene as well the music that influenced him and provided the foundations to his raw and unbound resonate that we know today. We also look at labels and how artists are nurtured around them, and we get first hand insight into how he became resident of Rote Sonne, Griessemhule and Khidi and get a sense of the ever evolving drive of this artist toward fresh and non conventional sounds. Electric Indigo is a longstanding DJ, producer, composer and musician who started her path into the electronic scene in the early 90s and has since played in over 40 countries around the world. Aside from a long string of releases and gigs under her belt, Electric Indigo is also the founder of female:pressure, an international support network and online database for female, non-binary and non conforming gender artists. Her music and contribution has earned her wide and deep respect from the international music scene that has taken her to play in a long list of well established clubs as well as winning awards such as the “outstanding artist award Musik 2012” and the Kunstpreis Musik 2020 from The Republic of Austria. In this chat, we discover the artists early entry point into the techno scene, as she fortuitously interviewed Underground Resistance members, her work at iconic vinyl store Hardwax in Berlin in the early 90s and her experience running a label and playing throughout three decades. We also find out more about female:pressure and their research project “FACTS survey” which quantifies gender composition of music festivals and events line-ups since 2012. We discuss about the many challenges that non-male, non-white artists may face when working in the music industry, and we leave inspired by Electric Indigo’s take on tackling these challenges with open communication and joint committment with artists, promoters and music lovers. Welcome to our latest guest Alberto Guerrini, known as the powerhouse Gabber Eleganza. DJ, Producer and all-round creator, Alberto started Gabber Eleganza by blogging and reporting about Hardcore and the Rave Culture of the 90s that had engulfed through his teenage years. Fast forward to present-day and Alberto finds himself running his own imprint “Never Sleep” as well as “The Hakke Show”, a performance that has already graced a long list of events such as Berghain, Horst Arts festival and Rye Wax to name a few. In this podcast we discuss the beginning of the first Italian hardcore events as well as the Italian rave scene from strongholds Rome to Bergamo. We discover Gabber Eleganza’s main aim that has taken the gabber culture into very different contexts: shifting public perception of hardcore by offering a different and closer perspective from the inside. We also hear of Alberto’s story and progress from the early days right to the lockdown obstacles, how he met and befriended Lorenzo Senni and Mino Luchena, and insight into his way of living the music he loves. Although the artist behind the musical project has been working on the local scene, since 2009, he has had the fortune to grow in music since he was very young and have great influences in different musical styles, working for the music of very personal way last several years, but I think the pinnacle of all this came with the birth of "Archaic Revival" that started as a musical project in 2015 in the visible part or publicly so to speak, but the project had been working since 2014, precisely seeking to unite many elements under the previously explained concept. The project carries two fundamental bases that is my Infinite devotion for the House and the most sacred respect I have for the Techno, with different variables within other styles such as Acid, Dub, Ambient and Experimental music. His music has been supported and played by artists such as: Santiago Salazar [Santuario Podcast #20 and Podcast #27 by Dub lab LA.USA] and Cari Lekebush [Goute Mes Mix #48 by Goute Mes Disques] [Resident Advisor Dj Charts July 2015 top 10] Other outstanding supports by: Echoplex, Amotik, Slam, Luigi Madonna, Jason Fernandez, Klaudia Gawlas, Cristian Varela, and Colombia local support by: Deraout, Julianna, Magdalena, Lunate, Dsum, Kriss Salas, Gotshell, Durcheinander and many more. This time merging analog sound creation with digital techniques to combine the best of both worlds. Florian's countless gigs have become an extraordinary experience by continually pushing the boundaries of combining true live performance on the modular synth with DJing. A unique raw energy and response to the audience marks the signature sound of his performance. His live appearance for Boiler Room TV in Funkhaus Berlin 2018 with 3 modular synth live performers, who never met before, marked another milestone in his career as a live act and showcased his ability to improvise on electronic instruments in an exciting live jamsession. As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analogue mixing desk as well as classic machines like Roland 909, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t possible. *The mix is an extract of the Live set at Sisyphos Hammahalle Follow FLORIAN MEINDL here: Web: https://www.florianmeindl.com/ Resident Advisor: https://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/florianmeindl Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/florianmeindlartistpage/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/florian_meindl/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/florian-meindl Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/florianmeindl/ Beatport: https://www.beatport.com/artist/florian-meindl/13908 Bandcamp: https://florianmeindl.bandcamp.com/ Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/424232-Florian-Meindl --- Follow TECH CLUBBERS here: Web: https://www.techclubbers.com/ Resident Advisor: https://www.residentadvisor.net/profile/techclubbers Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TechClubbers/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/techclubbers/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/techclubbers Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/TechClubbersRadio/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TechClubbersPodcast Itunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/it/podcast/tech-clubbers-podcast/id1453220509 Contact: info@techclubbers.com

Techno collaborations don’t come much more exciting than Neon Chambers. Made up of UK titan Sigha and famously experimental Frenchman Kangding Ray, the pair have very much defined the modern sound of the genre with their solo careers. When coming together for their blistering live show, they fuse avant-garde sounds with machine-driven grooves and work up music that manages to make an impact on the floor as well as fire your cerebral cortex. Later this year, the pair will play at Dekmantel 2019, but before that we have a set to get you in the zone as to what to expect. Of course, it is a stylish and boundary pushing exploration of tempo and texture that is all up close and intricate synthesis one moment, then more laid back dub swagger the next. Never rooted to one sound world, there are cosmic vibes as well as raw industrialism all touched upon, and the result is as arresting as you would expect from this hugely proficient pair.

Casual Treatment is all about Techno. Paris born Dj & Producer based in South of France, Melvyn started listening to electronic music at age of 10 and discovered Techno 3 years later and directly felt in love with this music. Inspired by UK and Spanish sounds and influenced by artists as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero or AnD to name a few, Melvyn has no boundaries. He started first mixing at 16. Then, one year later, he became resident of the famous Inox Club Toulouse as a duo (CROWD), making warm-up or closings for artists like Ben Sims, Sigha, Tommy Four Seven.. After 2 years mixing, at 18, he wanted to start making his own productions. He met Marla Singer that took him under his wing, and gave him his passion for production. Melvyn decided then to create this new project, Casual Treatment. Focused on dynamic and hypnotic techno. In November 2015, Marla Singer & Casual Treatment was closing Inox for Oscar Mulero and Tommy Four Seven. In 2016, Casual Treatment's first releases in collaboration with his friend will be released on labels as Nachtstrom Shallplatten and Unknown Territory to name a few, with also vinyl pressing. https://soundcloud.com/casual-treatment https://www.facebook.com/casualtreatment/

Hello and welcome to episode #081 of Lehmann Podcast - Alex Dolby! When you have grown and lived in the early ’90s, the golden period of Rome raves and of the musical transformation that occurred in those authentically underground places, you have many things to say. In this background, Alex Dolby, DJ and producer, has formed in his youth, taking inspiration from pillars of the scene such as Jeff Mills, Joy Beltram, Robert Armani and from the music released by record label like R&S and Metroplex, just to name a few. In order to develop, even more, his potential, Alex Dolby has travelled a lot during the years, both as good listener and DJ. He has performed in top club around the world: Ministry of Sound in London, DC10 at Ibiza, Pacha in Buenos Aires, Magazzini Generali in Milan, Sazae in Osaka, Brancaleone in Rome, Cafè D'Anvers in Belgium and many others. The musical desolation and the dark industrial landscape of Frosinone and its province, where Alex Dolby grew, brought him to start a “revolution from below”: to open his own club which respond to the musical culture he would like to spread. So, in 2013, Affekt Club born. The raw and underground culture is the demanding but noble mission that Alex Dolby has set, on the example of the city where the musical movements, that are still a model for everybody, born. Simultaneously with his achievements as producer (Alex released Nefesis, the second album of his career with Affekt Recordings, the label of the same name of the club. The LP contains ten tracks: Paranco e Morphosis which have become real hits, played by DJs such as Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Chris Liebing, Truncate e Alan Fitzpatrick) Alex Dolby, through his club, grown on both a part of people that never had lived that reality and on field’s experts, DJs that have appreciated the quality of sound which come from that dark room. This success was possible mainly through a different approach to the “party system” which is largely used in Italy. The Affekt club offers both promising young DJs and successful DJs who are not (inclined to) part of the mainstream commercialization. The artistical programmation of the club has been of a very high level since its beginning and the club has been able to host, for the first time in the history of territory, artists such as Len Faki, Speedy J, Oscar Mulero, Monoloc, Rebekah, Truncate, Francois x, Marcel Fengler, Tommy Four Seven, Norman Nodge, Giorgio Gigli, Shifted, Sigha, Joel Mull, Markantonio, Brian Sanhaji, Par Grindvik, Jonas Kopp, Reeko, Gaetano Parisio and many others. Experimentation and underground are Alex Dolby’s key words. CONTAINER PODCAST [25] KR!Z *Podcast from CLR Kr!z always had a strong sympathy for the more gloomy, dark, rawer sound of techno. Artists like Jeff Mills, Surgeon & James Ruskin had a major influence on him in the 90ies. They helped to define his musical taste and develop his own identity in the techno scene. Kr!z still has a big love for hip hop, which has left it’s mark in his technical dj style: fast & tight mixing, properly dosed with cuts & scratches. Being a respected & established value in Belgium for a decade and a resident-dj for Belgium's legendary techno night 'Kozzmozz', his dj-schedule now takes him all over the world. In 2007, Kr!z felt there was too much good music around from his favourite artists that didn't get a proper release, so he started his own label 'Token'. He rapidly established the label as a fixed value in the techno scene of today by bringing a timeless & powerful techno sound. In the 5 years of it’s existence Token released tracks & remixes from Inigo Kennedy, Phase, Luke Slater, James Ruskin, Marcel Dettmann, Blawan, Surgeon, Ben Klock, Xhin, Sigha & Peter Van Hoesen, amongst others. Also the Token label night concept took off with great success after memorable nights in Berlin (Berghain & Tresor), Brussels (Fuse), Shanghai, London, Rotterdam, and more.
