Best-selling author of “One Nation Under Blackmail”, Whitney Webb, is back to discuss her latest article on the covert moves that are being made by one of the most polarizing figures in recent American history, Erik Prince. While his former company Blackwater underwent multiple rebrandings to attempt to remove the bloodstains from the carpet in the lobby, Prince was busy launching new ventures from his home base in the United Arab Emirates, such as Comframe and Dark Matter, which seek to help the Chinese acquire technology from Israel to assist with its Belt and Road Initiative. While China attempts to rebuild the fabled Silk Road to connect the world together, the United Nations is busy devising new ways in which to destroy it. Using the imagined threat of “climate change” as the new invisible enemy, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals are leading the world into a digital panopticon where the public is treated as fenced livestock and the Globalists are the only ones with the keys. Zhang, diving into the show's slow-burn opening arc where imperial bootlickers, jealous love interests, and rebels in the making collide on the Outer Rim. They discuss what makes Andor—a property of the Star Wars universe—feel different than its franchise kin, from its social realism to its psychological bite. If The Battle of Algiers looms large, so does Parable of the Sower, especially the show's landscape of authoritarian company towns and the simmering hints of a revolutionary break. They talk about the Preox-Morlana security force as East India Company meets Blackwater, and Deputy Inspector Syril Karn as the story's omnipresent archetype—the insecure man desperate to matter. Just like the pathetic rent-a-cops Andor is forced to kill, and the equally envious Timm Karlo, another tragic loser who dies trying to make up for his fateful angst.History appears to turn not so much on generals and emperors, but on the choices and contradictions of broken men. Aaron Beam discusses Red Fang's new collection and two decades of riff-driven sludge metal, plus Justin Benlolo of BRKN Love joins the show TL;DR This week on the Loaded Radio Podcast, Aaron Beam from Red Fang joins us to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary and discuss the release of their latest collection, Deep Cuts. Beam dives into the band's beginnings, the process of assembling rare tracks, and the inspiration behind Red Fang's unrelenting sound. Later in the episode, Justin Benlolo of BRKN Love drops in to talk about the band's ongoing evolution and the exciting plans ahead. Red Fang reflect on two decades of sludge-soaked greatness Formed in 2005 in Portland, Oregon, Red Fang carved out a distinct place in the modern heavy scene with their gritty, hook-laden sludge metal. Over the last 20 years, they've delivered one crushing release after another, gaining a reputation for both their anthemic riffs and their offbeat sense of humor. Now, Aaron Beam and the rest of Red Fang mark their 20th year with Deep Cuts — a sprawling 26-track release packed with non-album tracks, covers, demos, and hidden gems. It's a celebration of the band's journey so far, offering longtime fans a treasure trove of rarely heard material that still captures the raw, unfiltered energy Red Fang are known for. On the latest episode of the Loaded Radio Podcast, Beam opens up about the creation of Deep Cuts, shares reflections on the early days of jamming in drummer John Sherman's basement, and talks about what it feels like to still be making music together two decades later. Deep Cuts offers a full throttle dive into Red Fang's evolution From the thunderous opening riff of “Antidote” to the atmospheric shifts of tracks like “Hollow Light” and “Endless Sea,” Deep Cuts showcases the full range of Red Fang's capabilities. Beam notes that the collection captures the oddities, covers, and experimental moments that have fueled the band's evolution over the years. Highlights include their gritty renditions of Wipers' “Over the Edge” and Dust's “Suicide,” as well as fan-favorite deep cuts like “Stereo Nucleosis” and “Black Water.” It's a wild ride through the different textures and tones that have shaped Red Fang's career — from straight-up sludge anthems to more experimental, synth-laced jams. Beam also reflects on how his own musical journey — and the shared history with bandmates Bryan Giles, David Sullivan, and John Sherman — continues to push Red Fang's sound forward even after 20 years. Justin Benlolo of BRKN Love joins the conversation The second half of this week's podcast features Justin Benlolo, the dynamic frontman of BRKN Love. Benlolo and Loaded Radio's Scott Penfold dig into the band's unique blend of hard rock and alternative influences, their songwriting process, and their ambitions as they continue building momentum within the modern rock landscape. With new music and major tour plans on the horizon, BRKN Love are positioning themselves as one of the exciting young acts keeping heavy music alive in a constantly evolving scene.

Researching, investigating and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure — and facilitate closings — even as they struggle with demons of their own. In Season 3, which is set three years after the events of Season 2, real estate agents Luke, Susan and their team continue to help clients buy and sell “metaphysically engaged” properties (aka haunted houses), even as “Luke is stalked by an old, demonic childhood nemesis who threatens him and everyone he cares about… dead or alive.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

The international war reporter John Lechner is a brave man. For his new book Death Is Our Business: Russian Mercenaries and the New Era of Private Warfare, he spent time in both Russia and the Central African Republic researching the Russian mercenary Wagner Group founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin. In our conversation, he details Prigozhin's rise, his rebellion against Putin, and his eventual death. Lechner argues that mercenary groups like Wagner are generally no more or less bloodthirsty than the governments that employ them. We also talked about the broader global trend of outsourcing warfare, from Russian mercenaries to U.S. contractors like Blackwater, and how this approach reduces political costs for governments engaging in military interventions. Here are the 5 KEEN ON AMERICA takeaways from the Lechner interview:* Wagner Group represents a broader trend of privatized warfare, following in the footsteps of Western contractors like Blackwater but expanding into offensive operations.* Yevgeny Prigozhin's personal ambition and desire to overcome his status within Putin's inner circle drove Wagner's expansion globally.* Mercenary groups like Wagner typically mirror the human rights practices of the governments that hire them, often exacerbating existing abuses rather than introducing new ones.* Prigozhin's rebellion against Putin stemmed from his narcissism and fear of losing political leverage when the Ministry of Defense attempted to absorb Wagner's fighters.* The outsourcing of warfare (through mercenaries, proxies, or technology) allows governments to pursue interventionist policies with reduced political costs, as contractor deaths don't receive the same public scrutiny as military casualties.John Lechner graduated from the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) Program at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. At Georgetown, John focused on security issues in Central Africa and the Sahel; Turkey; Russia, and the former Soviet Union. He is an expert on Russia's growing influence in Africa. He speaks fluent Russian; advanced French, Turkish, and Georgian; and conversational Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian (BCS), Chechen, German, and Sango (the lingua franca of the Central African Republic). After working in finance for several years, John decided to leverage his language skills and significant experience living abroad—especially in Russia and Europe—for a career in international affairs. After arriving in Washington DC, he took an internship with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), analyzing and publishing articles on Turkish domestic politics, security, and foreign relations. While attending Georgetown he has continued to work as a freelance journalist, covering issues related to language, history, culture, and politics in eastern Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey, the Sahel, and the Central African Republic. He is an expert on the history, languages, and politics of Central Africa, Turkey, and the former Soviet Union. You can find his articles published in Foreign Policy, War on the Rocks, Kyiv Post, The Diplomat, Africa is a Country, African Arguments, The National Interest, and Defense One, among others.Named as one of the "100 most connected men" by GQ magazine, Andrew Keen is amongst the world's best known broadcasters and commentators. In addition to presenting the daily KEEN ON show, he is the host of the long-running How To Fix Democracy interview series. He is also the author of four prescient books about digital technology: CULT OF THE AMATEUR, DIGITAL VERTIGO, THE INTERNET IS NOT THE ANSWER and HOW TO FIX THE FUTURE. Today's guest is John Lechner, a writer and researcher. He's here today to talk about his new book about the Wagner Group, a Russian state-funded private military group, or PMC. The book is called Death Is Our Business: Russian Mercenaries and the New Era of Private Warfare, and is out March 4th (you can preorder it here). It's a crazy read, and draws on multiple trips John took to frontlines in Ukraine, Syria, Libya, the Central African Republic, and Mali. As a mutual friend told me, “John knows more about the Wagner Group than anyone not in the Wagner Group.” I asked John to help me better understand how state capacity works, through the lens of private military companies. Some questions I came into our conversation with:* How does a private military company (PMC) work? What's the bureaucratic structure of a PMC?* How does a successful PMC operate? How does it scale?* How does a state like Russia use a PMC for its own ends (and how do PMCs use states for their own ends)?* How do Russian PMCs like Wagner compare to American PMCs like Blackwater?Read the full transcript of this episode at www.statecraft.pub. It's News Day Tuesday! Sam & Emma break down the biggest headlines of the day. First, Sam and Emma run through updates on Elon Musk's attacks on US federal workers, Mike Johnson's determination to cut Medicaid, an impending GOP-led government shutdown, dropping consumer sentiment, FDA actions to undo Musk & DOGE dumbassery, Blackwater's private ICE posse, DoorDash's millions in theft, Trump's attacks on whistleblower protections, the VA, and Trump's support for Russia, before basking in the beauty of Missouri Rep Mark Alford's obsequious support for the Musk/Trump regime getting drowned out by countless enraged constituents (despite Alford's unsurprising and unsubstantiated claims of outside agitators). After expanding on the need for Democrats to hold the line in refusing Trump's absurd power grabs and the GOP's disastrous budget plans – and how to call your representative to make sure they stay strong – Sam and Emma dive deep into the GOP's ongoing push to make devastating and extensive cuts to Medicaid, dissecting how this move targets the victims of the supposed “waste, fraud, and abuse” Mike Johnson and Co claim to be going after, and watch former NJ Rep Tom Malinowski obliterate Kevin O'Leary's ridiculous claim that Elon and Trump are completing the first audit of the US government in years. Wrapping up, they touch on David Dayen's recent piece “The Coup Has Failed,” and why we should find hope in the US public's overwhelming pushback to Trump's attempts to consolidate his power and punish his enemies. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma answer some of your questions about Ukraine, unpack the Trump/Musk regime's devastating impact on the US economy, explore the extensive reach of Trump's attack on federal workers, and talk with Cal from Rochester about the pre- and post-ACA Medicaid experience. Ronald Raygun expands the conversation on Russia and Ukraine, Max from South Carolina tackles SC's devastating GOP trifecta, the US government comes for queer people's IDs, and Milo Yiannopolis (or, perhaps, Jake from Dallas) shares some thoughts with the show. PBD goes to bat for his potential comrade-in-coups Jair Bolsonaro, and Nicholas from Michigan adds to the Medicaid experience, plus, your calls and IMs! Our cell phones are collecting way more data on us than we think, and it's shockingly easy for Big Tech, government agencies, and a wide array of bad actors to access it. Glenn speaks with Erik Prince, retired Navy SEAL and the founder of the private military contractor Blackwater, and Ryan Paterson, retired Marine and Big Tech insider, about their new venture, Unplugged, which aims to solve this massive personal security breach. Erik and Ryan explain how anyone who buys our data can learn our routines, discover who we are, and even know which side of the bed we sleep on: “It's worse than George Orwell even imagined.” Erik and Ryan also address excuses like, “They already have all my data,” or, “I have nothing to hide.” But first, Glenn speaks with Erik about his incredible backstory: Why did he, the son of a successful entrepreneur, become a Navy SEAL and start Blackwater? Erik also provides insight on the conflicts around the world: Can Trump stop the war between Russia and Ukraine? Can Israel free Iran from Islamist tyranny? Was America's war in Iraq for nothing? Is the Chinese Communist Party our greatest adversary? What did Trump's comments about “the enemy within” really mean? Plus, he shares his plan for how to make the U.S. military both less expensive and more efficient at the same time.   Disclaimer: Unplugged is a sponsor of "The Glenn Beck Program."   Sponsors: We live in crazy times.
