MNMT Label Showcase presents Northallsen Records mixed by Aleja Sanchez (@djalejasanchez) Northallsen Records is an electronic music label founded in Bogotá, Colombia in 2016 by Aleja Sanchez. The label's sound embraces the realms of hypnotism and explores the fusion between organic soundscapes, experimental and acoustic elements, with the powerful load of techno music, revealing a sonic narrative that flows between the mysticism of ancestral cultures and the spiritual power of nature. In order to build the concept, far away from trying to emulate a sound, the label curation is focused on artists with their own identity and particular voice, with a foundation into their musical and artistic proposals. This is a rerun of my conversation with Iori Forsyth from 2021.-------------------Iori Forsyth is half-Australian and half-Japanese and she embodies the terms "bicultural" and "biracial" through and through. She split her childhood between Japan and Australia, which allowed her to experience both cultures fully and be fluent in both languages. She grew up with 7 brothers (she's the oldest of 8 children).Due to her family's unique status as both a large family and a bicultural one in Hiroshima, Japan, they had their own reality TV show for 10 years - a significant part of Iori and her brothers' childhoods and teenage years.We talk about what it was like for her growing up split between two very different cultures, where she felt like she fit in the most, her experience growing up in front of TV cameras, and the most important things to giving your own children a truly multicultural upbringing. English: Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the floor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. In recent years his music production skills have flourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The first release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. The Second release will be out in May on vinyl. Manuel Iori is an associate professor of Operations Research at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He has published more than 80 papers in international journals, including Operations Research, Mathematical Programming and Transportation Science. His research lies in the fields of combinatorial optimization and logistics, with a focus on exact and heuristic algorithms for traveling salesman, vehicle routing, bin packing, production and scheduling problems. He is member of the research centers CIRRELT, INdAM, AIRI and INTERMECH MORE. He collaborates with companies for the solutions of real-world optimization problems, by designing and developing solution methods and decision support systems.

Specialising in ivory-related crime and the protection of elephants, she is responsible for championing an alliance protecting the most northerly population of elephants in the horn of Africa.
