The Ukraine region contributes significantly to global grain supplies and Tess looks at what a conflict there might mean for Australian farmers.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin moved 94,000 troops to the Ukraine-Crimea border in an attempt to intimidate the former Soviet Republic's president Volodymyr Zelensky over the disputed territory. Is this merely a spat over some land or is it part of a larger overall plan by Putin to gain more global economic and territorial power? In this edition of Thought to Action, our panel from the London Center for Policy Research and special guest former DIA Agent Rebekah Koffler, author of PUTIN'S PLAYBOOK: RUSSIA'S SECRET PLAN TO DEFEAT AMERICA look deeply into what's transpiring between Russia and Ukraine, how Putin looks at his position and potentially the other former Soviet Republics as well as how the Russian President is using economic and energy supply leverage to gain power over NATO nations financially while flexing his muscles militarily closer to home. US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken have issued warnings against Russian advancement into Ukraine, but how seriously is Putin taking them considering the administration's overall foreign policy track record?Another interesting development over the Crimea dispute is the sudden, and perhaps rather suspicious, turnaround in policy toward the situation by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, whose recent electoral victory has been called into question. After 7 years of remaining neutral, Lukashenko has not only come out in vocal support of Putin's occupation of Crimea (after the Russian President financially supported him as he weathered citizens' protests) but has offered to host Russian nuclear weaponry on its soil. Our Panel:London Center President LTC (Ret) Tony ShafferLCPR Distinguished Fellow Navy Capr. On today's edition on TRUNEWS, the focus is on finances, as host Rick Wiles and guest Terry Sacka discuss the implications of conflicts in the Middle East, ramping up of military in the South China Sea, and the Ukraine-Crimea conflict all impact the global economic balance. Are we now witnessing the world-wide shift of wealth from the West to the East?
Political & social changes in Ukraine & Crimea have made it necessary to shift ministry focus as well. See how God has opened new doors in Crimea.
It started in Sochi — the most expensive winter Olympics in history. A winter Olympics which, let us not forget, saw Great Britain take the gold in curling! Then Pussy Riot— which is decidedly not a niche pornography market — were being publicly horsewhipped by men in funny hats while the world recoiled in horror and… didn’t do much of anything, really. Then, in the beating Orange heart of Kiev’s Independence Square, came the protesters — or maybe they weren’t protesters at all: maybe they were agent provocateurs from America. Next came the riot police — or maybe they weren’t riot police at all — maybe they were paramilitary thugs from the infamous mercenary force, Blackwater. Suddenly there were 70 dead, hundreds injured, a Ukrainian president forced to flee his massive gold-plated presidential palace leaving behind that most incriminating evidence of dictatorship — a private zoo. Suddenly Russian troops — or maybe they’re not Russian; the uniforms are vague —deployed inside Crimea. Suddenly, if you believe the narrative being played out on the nightly news — half of Ukraine wants an EU passport while the other half wants to strip half-naked and wrestle bears a la Vladamir Putin. On tonight’s Litopia After Dark, we have, in studio, satirist, television talking head and former Kremlin advisor Alexander Nekrassov. And folks, believe us – Alexander does not get an easy time.
