The USS Salem was the flagship of the 6th Fleet and is nicknamed "The Sea Witch." She was first launched in 1947 as a Naval cruiser and was fortunate to never see any battle. But that didn't keep her from being linked to death with reports of onboard deaths ranging from 75 to 100. And that has left ghosts on this now floating museum in Quincy, Massachusetts that we had the opportunity to explore when we visited Salem in August of 2022. James Annitto is a Deacon of the United States Old Catholic Church and is a Demonologist who has worked alongside many other specialists in this field. James is also a paranormal investigator/researcher of Paranormal Phenomena Research & Investigation (PPRI), Sanctuary Paranormal, and the founder/owner of The Dominion Ministry. He has been in the paranormal field since the early age of 15, investigating graveyards and legendary surroundings in the New England area such as Mercy Brown, Ladd School, USS Salem, and Slater Mill. Watching Unsolved Mysteries, Scariest Places on Earth and then, eventually, Ghost Hunters increased his interest and knowledge of the field. He has been in the paranormal field since the early age of 15, investigating graveyards and legendary surrounding in the New England area such as Mercy Brown, Ladd School, USS Salem, and Slater Mill His knowledge of the paranormal came from reading many books by in his early years. Watching Unsolved Mysteries, Scariest Places on Earth and then, eventually, Ghost Hunters increased his interest and knowledge of the field. His first ever experience came when his aunt showing him a ghostly figure peeking out of a window during one of their vacations. With this experience James came to love the paranormal and knew that he wanted to be a part of this field when he got older. Being a teenager of 15, it was difficult for him to become part of a research group let alone start his own, so he travelled to graveyards with his camera and a flashlight until he was able to form his own group’s years later called Ghost Hunters of Supernatural Truth (G.H.O.S.T.). G.H.O.S.T. consisted of Andre Correia formerly of R.I.P.S who appeared on “The Haunted” episode “Demon Attack,” and other members from different areas of the paranormal field with experience levels of none to a few years. James gained a lot of experience running the team and calling clients/business/homeowners.​ After being in the field for the last 15 years, James has gained a great deal of experience from working with many well respected members of the paranormal field. He has appeared on many radio and local television shows. James has also given scores of lectures at libraries and expos. James began a new level of his paranormal life when he began his studies in demonology and the ministry. Dedicating himself to helping others in the field and those who are in need of a cleansing or blessing, he travels anywhere he is needed free of charge. Even though he has over 400 cases under his belt, he never makes himself to appear as if he is better than his peers in the field or unavailable to someone who requires his assistance. If for some reason he is unable to help, he always passes the case along to another in the field with equal or more experience than himself. James in March 2015 created The Dominion Ministry to change the landscape of the spiritual warfare field, bringing many spiritual warriors together. In early 2017, James stepped down from The Dominion Ministry to make time for his family and continued studies in the paranormal and as well becoming a seminarian in the United States Old Catholic Church and then ordained as a Deacon. Currently, James works alongside Carl Johnson in the research/lecture group Duo Daaemonologie which started lecturing in 2019. He does currently still attend seminary - and one day will be elevated to the Priesthood to keeping serving the people.

For this weeks episode of the Warships Podcast, we have a bittersweet one. This is the final episode for KamiSamurai who is leaving the podcast to go work for Wargaming North America in Austin, TX. There are many goodbyes from fellow Community Contributors and Kami took a moment to reflect on his time on the show. The show introduces Aerroon, who is now officially a full time crew member of the Podcast and will help the team going forward. The Community Contributor Program giveaways are also discussed as the crew explains the process. Sailing into the heart of our show topics, the podcast crew discusses the new Admiral Halsey Campaign. Similar to the Yamamoto Campaign, this is a permanent commander that has special abilities and special rewards for achieving in match combat actions. Parts of the new USN Cruiser line split have happened and a new supply shop and feature is coming called “Arsenal”. Discussion about the USS Salem being the first ship earned by a new resource type called “Coal” is debated, as is the other resource “Steel”. Which will only be earned via modes like Ranked or Clan Battles. Arsenal may also include consumables like Signals, or Free XP, but these have yet to be finalized and as always, subject to change. Cruising to the finish the podcast crew debates this Ranked Season 9. Which has for many been a salty one. The team talks about the effects of irrevocable at Rank 10 and the nature of game play at Tier 10 for Ranked. He has helped to foster and expand our community by making the World of Warships NA Discord server. Kelorn interviews Maine about his involvement in the Warship's Community and how he came to make the Discord server. In the meantime, Maine brought questions from this Discord channel to ask the Podcast Crew. We answered several questions like our favorite ships, thoughts on Clan Wars, thoughts about increased Tier 6 premiums being introduced, and what our plans were for December in Warships. The cast moves into the main topics of discussion for this week and that is the four new ships being tested currently. RM Roma Tier 8 BB, HMS Duke of York Tier 7 BB, USS Salem Tier 10 CA, and Aigle Tier 6 DD. These ships were provided to the crew members to test and are subject to change. We first talk about RM Roma, a ship that many players are looking forward to, and special guest Battleships Maine helps add to this conversation by discussing a bit of history and insight to the ship. We move on to the other battleship being tested, HMS Duke of York. Where a debate about battleship role and its ability to tank and heal is discussed. Rounding out the new ship chat, we cover USS Salem which is a sister ship to USS Des Moines and very similar is play style and setup. Last covered is the French Destroyer Aigle. It is comparable to some of the Russian Large Destroyers seen in the game and the cast discusses those DD tactics. The Quick Hits for this week cover: HMAS Vampire being offered via missions for free for players who grind out the challenge mission.
