Send us Fan MailJoin us for a closer look at some premonitions straight outta Essex with Richard Hatem, the mind behind the haunting adaptation of The Mothman Prophecies, where reality frays at the edges and something unknowable peers through. But his fingerprints are all over the strange and the supernatural…He's written for Titans, where a group of young heroes join forces in their fight against evil. He's brought chaos and chainsaw-splattered mayhem to Ash vs Evil Dead. He's explored belief, doubt, and the uncanny in Miracles. And, crucially, for so many of us who grew up with salt lines and flickering motel lights… he also contributed to the early, bone-chilling days of Supernatural, helping shape that first season when urban legends, roadside hauntings, and things in the dark felt just a little too real. From cosmic dread to folklore-fuelled horror, his work circles that same irresistible idea…That the stories we tell about monsters might actually be the stories that warn us.So tonight, we're stepping into that liminal space together…Where folklore meets film,Where belief becomes a doorway,And where, if you listen closely… something might just be listening back.Richard's podcast: https://www.richardhatemsparanormalbookshelf.com/If you have any more information about these stories or want to share your own experience, please contact us via eerieessexpodcast@gmail.comYou can support us on Ko-Fi and Patreon:https://ko-fi.com/eerieessexhttps://www.patreon.com/EerieEssex....or by leaving us a review.Support the show

Purple Pants Podcast | April Premonitions: You're Almost There April's energy is all about alignment, evolution, and trusting the timing. This month on Purple Pants Premonitions, Brice Izyah and Gary D'Andre tap into what it really means to move with clarity and not force what isn't ready yet, reminding listeners that the version of you today is not the version of you yesterday and growth requires releasing who you were to fully step into who you're becoming. There's a strong message to pour into the people who truly love and support you while also understanding that not everything is meant to be rushed because what is aligned for you will not miss you. Ledell Johnson grew up in Buffalo, New York, raised by his grandparents in what he describes as a decent upbringing — but the pull of the streets started early. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Ledell shares how he got his first gun at just 13 years old, dropped out of high school, and became deeply involved in street life. At 19, everything nearly ended when he was shot and almost lost his life, a moment that could have changed everything — but instead, he went back to the same environment that put him there. Ledell opens up about the mindset that kept him in the streets, how quickly things can spiral, and the reality of growing up around violence in Buffalo. Eventually, a gun charge caught up with him, leading to a 4-year sentence in the New York State prison system. _____________________________________________ #BuffaloNY #TrueCrime #PrisonStory #StreetLife #GunViolence #ExInmate #CrimeStories #lockedinpodcast _____________________________________________ Thank you to RAYCON for sponsoring this episode: Celebrate the moms in your life! In this remaster episode I'm talking to Carla Wills-Brandon about her book 'Heavenly Hugs: Comfort, Support, and Hope From the Afterlife' Does life end at death? The answer is no! The nearly 2,000 cases of departing visions and visitations from deceased relatives and friends collected by the author prove that there is life after death. At the moment of physical death, departed loved ones return to the dying to ease travel from this life to the next. Friends, family, and healthcare workers also report seeing these loving spiritual travel guides. Such encounters--reported by individuals from a wide variety of cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds--clearly illustrate that the personality, soul, or consciousness does not disappear or "die." To live our lives to the fullest, we must relieve ourselves of the false notion that death is the end. Departing visions help us do this. Heavenly Hugs will introduce you to both historical and modern-day departing visions, proving: The dying have been reuniting with the departed--for centuries Departed loved ones escort the dying to the other side or next dimension Something has often been seen leaving the physical body at the moment of death Famous people have experienced beautiful departing visions Bio Carla Wills-Brandon always wanted to do two things professionally: be of service to others, and write. After receiving a scholarship to California State University, Fresno, she graduated with high honors and a degree in psychology. She then went on to finish a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Fresno, an APA approved school. Her husband, Michael “Tex” Brandon, also received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from this institution. After publishing eight books, and developing a successful private practice as a State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Carla decided to go back to school. Not interested in treading a traditional education path she completed a two year course of study and dissertation in a Doctor of Philosophy in Holistic Nutrition program at Clayton College of Holistic Health. Her dissertation was titled “A Four Pronged Approach to the Holistic Treatment of Food Disorders.” Carla has published 12 books, one of which was a "Publishers Weekly Best Seller." Her most recent book, “Beyond The Chase: Breaking Your Obsessions That Sabotage True Intimacy” is proving to be a great success. She has also lectured across the U.S. and U.K., and has appeared on numerous national radio and television programs, such as Coast To Coast Radio with George Noory, Geraldo Rivera, Sally Jesse Raphael, Montel Williams, Art Bell's Coast To Coast Radio Show, Uri Geller's Coast To Coast Radio Show and Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher. Considered a relationship and trauma expert, many of her media appearances have been dedicated to discussing healthy intimacy, recovery from sexual abuse and trauma resolution. She has also appeared on several programs with her husband Michael, as the two clinicians often see couples in their private practice as a couple. Aside from her work with relationships, intimacy issues, sexual dysfunction, addiction, trauma resolution and grief, Carla has been investigating spirituality and other related phenomenon for over a decade. Her major radio show appearances have been dedicated to topics ranging from Near Death Experiences, After Death Communications, Deathbed Visions and Premonitions. She is considered to be one of the leading researchers into deathbed visions. In her private practice, grief work, lectures and workshops she teaches people how to integrate these unusual encounters into everyday living. Currently, she is working on another project involving the mysterious departing visions of the dying. Carla and her family live on an island just off the coast of Texas in a 100-year-old historical home, which recently survived hurricane Ike in 2008. She and her husband, Dr. Michael Brandon Ph.D., a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, have been in private practice for over two decades. They have been married for over 40 years. With one day of Apple announcements left, the MacVoices panel tackles rising RAM and storage prices and what shortages could mean for upcoming devices. Chuck Joiner, David Ginsburg, Brian Flanigan-Arthurs, Marty Jencius, Jeff Gamet, Eric Bolden, Web Bixby, and Jim Rea debate whether Apple's bigger base configs are simply planned far in advance, a response to component pricing, or a signal of hardware requirements for upcoming AI features like an improved Siri. Attention then shifts to the rumored “Neo” MacBook, its likely education focus, and whether Apple's new displays risk becoming niche due to strict compatibility limits. Today's MacVoices is supported by TV+ Talk, our MacVoices series with Charlotte Henry focused on Apple TV+. Purple Pants Podcast | March Premonitions: Clearing Space for What's Next March's Premonitions is here, and the message is clear: trust what you know. Brice and Gary dive into what it really means to climb the proverbial ladder while staying grounded in your intuition, reminding listeners that growth requires support and expansion requires clearing space for the new. With the Four of Pentacles pulled in reverse, the energy points to loosening your grip and releasing what you've been holding onto too tightly. Add in the retrograde in Pisces, and it's a powerful time to reevaluate, reflect, and recognize that spaces that once felt safe are not always meant to stay that way. In this captivating episode, we welcome Aleksander Czeszkiewicz, the extraordinary Polish researcher and author who authored his groundbreaking debut book at the remarkable age of just 17.Join us as Aleksander opens up about his profound personal transformation—from a committed atheist rooted in science and empirical evidence, to someone awakened by extraordinary supernatural experiences. As a child, he encountered unexplained high strangeness, only to set those mysteries aside in pursuit of rational understanding. But recurring dreams filled with premonitions and intense déjà vu became impossible to dismiss, ultimately unlocking extraordinary abilities such as perceiving human auras and witnessing energy manifested in visible light. This profound shift reshaped his worldview, raising provocative questions: Was this a form of divine guidance propelling him toward his mission? Could these experiences be the key to reexamining our ancient past and the very foundations of modern science? In Déjà Vu: Has Everything Already Been?, Aleksander masterfully intertwines timeless ancient myths—from the fabled lost continent of Atlantis to parallel global flood narratives—with perplexing archaeological enigmas, including the Great Pyramids and other megalithic marvels that continue to defy conventional scientific explanation.Challenging the conventional linear model of human progress, he presents compelling evidence for a cyclical view of history: advanced golden ages that flourished and vanished, erased by cataclysmic events near the close of the last Ice Age around 9,600 BCE.Discover why Aleksander's work is generating worldwide attention — and why the past may be more alive than we ever imagined!Book (US):https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGN8VZ3DBook (UK):https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BGN8VZ3Dhttps://www.czeszkiewiczglobal.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@czeszkiewiczglobalhttps://www.facebook.com/czeszkiewiczglobalGear up and get freaky with official Let's Get Freaky merchandise! Andrea Samadi revisits a conversation with neuroscientist Dr. Baland Jalal about how curiosity launched his career and how transitional sleep states fuel creativity. The episode explores sleep paralysis research and the hypnagogic window—the moments before sleep and after waking when the brain makes unexpected connections. This week, Episode 384—based on our review of Episode 224, recorded in June 2022—we'll explore: ✔ Why learning, creativity, and curiosity depend on a regulated nervous system ✔ How sleep—especially REM—creates the conditions for insight and problem-solving ✔ What happens in the brain when focus shuts down and imagination turns on ✔ Why safety, rhythm, and rest are prerequisites for learning—not rewards after it ✔ How understanding sleep changes the way we approach performance, education, and growth Listeners learn practical tips for capturing insights at the edge of sleep, setting intentions before bed, and protecting morning silence to preserve creative flashes. The episode emphasizes that learning and creativity emerge best when the nervous system feels safe and regulated. This episode launches Season 15's Phase 1 focus on regulation and safety, framing sleep, rhythm, and emotional regulation as the essential foundation for motivation, learning, and sustained performance. Welcome back to Season 15 of the Neuroscience Meets Social and Emotional Learning Podcast. I'm Andrea Samadi, and here we bridge the science behind social and emotional learning, emotional intelligence, and practical neuroscience—so you can create measurable improvements in well-being, achievement, productivity, and results. When we launched this podcast seven years ago, it was driven by a question I had never been taught to ask— not in school, not in business, and not in life: If results matter—and they matter now more than ever—how exactly are we using our brain to make these results happen? Most of us were taught what to do. Very few of us were taught how to think under pressure, how to regulate emotion, how to sustain motivation, or even how to produce consistent results without burning out. That question led me into a deep exploration of the mind–brain–results connection—and how neuroscience applies to everyday decisions, conversations, and performance. That's why this podcast exists. Each week, we bring you leading experts to break down complex science and translate it into practical strategies you can apply immediately. If you've been with us through Season 14, you may have felt something shift. That season wasn't about collecting ideas. It was about integrating these ideas into our daily life. Across conversations on neuroscience, social and emotional learning, sleep, stress, exercise, nutrition, and mindset frameworks—from voices like Bob Proctor, José Silva, Dr. Church, Dr. John Medina, and others—one thing became clear: These aren't separate tools. They're parts of one operating system. When the brain, body, and emotions are aligned, performance stops feeling forced—and starts to feel sustainable. Season 14 showed us what alignment looks like in real life. And now we move into Season 15 that is about understanding how that alignment is built—so we can build it ourselves, using predictable, science-backed principles. Because alignment doesn't happen all at once. It happens by using a sequence. By repeating this sequence over and over again, until magically (or predictably) we notice our results have changed. So this season, we're revisiting past conversations—not to repeat them—but to understand how they fit together, so we can replicate them ourselves. Because the brain doesn't develop skills in isolation. Learning doesn't happen in isolation. And neither does performance, resilience, or well-being. The brain operates as a set of interconnected systems. When one system is out of balance, everything else is affected. So Season 15 we've organized as a review roadmap, where each episode explores one foundational brain system—and each phase builds on the one before it. Season 15 Roadmap: Phase 1 — Regulation & Safety Phase 2 — Neurochemistry & Motivation Phase 3 — Movement, Learning & Cognition Phase 4 — Perception, Emotion & Social Intelligence Phase 5 — Integration, Insight & Meaning Today we begin with Phase One: Regulation and Safety. Because before learning can happen, before curiosity can emerge, before motivation or growth is possible— the brain must feel safe. That's where we are today as we embark on this journey together. I encourage us all to take notes, and apply what each phase is encouraging us to do. This is not just for you, the listener, I'm going right back myself, and revisiting each interview with a new lens. PHASE 1: REGULATION & SAFETY Staples: Sleep + Stress Regulation Core Question: Is the nervous system safe enough to learn? Anchor Episodes Episode 384 — Baland Jalal How learning begins: curiosity, sleep, imagination, creativity Bruce Perry “What happened to you?” — trauma, rhythm, relational safety Sui Wong Autonomic balance, lifestyle medicine, brain resilience Rohan Dixit HRV, real-time self-regulation, nervous system literacy EPISODE 384 — REVIEW OF EP 224 (JUNE 2022) Revisiting Our Interview with Baland Jalal Today's Episode 384 we go back to Episode 224[i], recorded in June 2022, featuring Danish neuroscientist Dr. Baland Jalal—a researcher, author, and one of the world's leading experts on sleep paralysis. Dr. Jalal is a neuroscientist affiliated with Harvard University's Department of Psychology and was previously a Visiting Researcher at Cambridge University Medical School, where he earned his PhD. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, NBC News, The Guardian, Forbes, Reuters, PBS (NOVA), and many others. He also writes for TIME Magazine, Scientific American, Big Think, and The Boston Globe. Since our original interview, I've watched Dr. Jalal's influence expand globally. Most recently, he appeared on Jordan B. Peterson's podcast[ii], discussing Dreams, Nightmares, and Neuroscience, and on Lewis Howes' School of Greatness[iii], where he explored Dreams, Lucid Dreaming, and the Neuroscience of Consciousness—an episode that truly stretched Lewis's thinking. What stood out to me most—then and now—was Dr. Jalal's transparency about learning. At the beginning of his interview with Lewis Howes, Dr. Jalal shared how a single experience—his desire to understand his own episodes of sleep paralysis more than 20 years ago—sparked a lifelong curiosity. That curiosity led him to his local library in Copenhagen and ultimately transformed his entire career path in ways he could never have imagined as a young man spending time on the streets. That honesty resonated deeply with me. Before Google, I remember sitting in a local library in Arizona around that same time, trying to understand the mysteries of the world—from the Great Pyramid of Giza to Stonehenge—reading everything I could get my hands on. Like Dr. Jalal, I was curious about many things I didn't understand, but my path didn't start with neuroscience or learning science, which came later for me. We all begin somewhere. Let's go to our first clip from Dr. Baland Jalal, where he shares how his love of learning truly began.

Every once in a while, someone gets a feeling they can't explain. It's Not fear or nerves, it's something deeper. And sometimes it's more than just a feeling. It's a future disaster that's about to happen?
Commentator David Bouchier looks ahead to 2026 and sees nothing clearly.

Some hauntings begin with a single moment. Hers began with a divide—a place between life and death where she slipped through the world and returned changed. A childhood coma left her with a sensitivity she didn't understand, a crack in the veil she never meant to open… and something on the other side that seemed to notice her first. Premonitions arrived like warnings. Dreams bled into reality. And the presence that touched her in the dark grew more deliberate with every year she tried to ignore it. Then came the night an old soldier—solid, sentient, and very real—stood at the foot of her bed and warned her to stop reaching into a world that had already reached for her. We follow the life of a woman marked by the moment her heart stopped… and by whatever followed her back when it started again. #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalAttachment #NearDeathExperience #Premonitions #ShadowPresence #HauntedLife #SupernaturalEncounters #DarkEntity #UnexplainedPhenomena Love real ghost stories? Purple Pants Podcast: December 2025 Premonitions | Signs, Not Setbacks This month's Purple Pants Premonitions arrives a little later than usual — and that timing is very much part of the message. Brice Izyah and Gary (@gangstagurry) tap in mid-month to reflect on the turbulence of 2025 so far, unpacking how disruption, pressure, and unexpected shifts have also brought undeniable growth. The conversation centers on alignment — not just where you are, but why you're there. Gary pulls the Siblings of Lanterns card, sparking a deeper question that echoes throughout the episode: is what you're experiencing part of your design, or a sign that you've drifted out of alignment? Together, they explore how clarity, community, and inner truth can act as lanterns when the path feels uncertain. This episode isn't about predictions for the sake of prophecy — it's about recalibration. About recognizing when resistance is a lesson, when discomfort is an invitation, and when growth asks you to choose differently. If 2025 has felt heavy but meaningful, chaotic yet revealing, this Premonitions session meets you right where you are. What if precognitive abilities could actually save lives? Sam Knight (New Yorker staff writer, author of the widely popular The Premonitions Bureau: A True Account of Death Foretold) joins Mayim Bialik's Breakdown to unpack some of the strangest, most unsettling questions in human experience: Can we really be scared to death? Do premonitions give us access to other timelines? Or are they evidence of a hidden, collective consciousness? Sam takes us inside the real story behind the deadly coal mine collapse that dozens of people eerily reported before it happened: a wave of psychic warnings so compelling it led to the creation of the British Premonitions Bureau, an experimental project designed to collect premonitions and prevent future catastrophes. We explore why people in the past seemed to understand extrasensory abilities better than we do today, and how head injuries have triggered sudden psi abilities in some truly bizarre cases. Sam also breaks down the most common types of premonitions, what separates accurate warnings from noise, why there aren't premonitions about positive things, the implications of so many different families and cultures sharing these inexplicable accounts, and why it's actually anti-scientific to dismiss reports of precognition altogether. Do people who experience premonitions have a moral responsibility to act on them? Could these uncanny glimpses be messages from alternate timelines, or something emerging from the depths of the unconscious mind? And the biggest question of all: Do we all have the ability to receive premonitions but we just don't know how to listen? If you've ever felt a strange sense of déjà vu, had a dream that came true, or wondered whether the future is already whispering to you…this is the episode of MBB you can't miss. This week's encounters episode is all about paranormal abilities—the kind that show up intentionally, unexpectedly, or right alongside something spooky that refuses to stay quiet. We're diving into psychic awakenings, premonitions, witchy lineages and more. Stories include: A listener discovers a terrifying entity in a too-cheap rental that awakens her psychic abilities. Another shares how fiery orbs and mysteriously repaired electronics suggest her beloved cats are still texting her from beyond. A teenage brother reveals a series of dreams that accurately foreshadow his real-life injury. One listener reflects on growing up psychic in a former funeral home, surrounded by shadow figures and guided by a protective grandmother spirit.
