Easily one of the most interesting looking X planes, the X-32 was a technology concept demonstrator built by Boeing which competed for what was at the time called the largest military contract in history, the Joint Strike Fighter or JSF. The X-32 was a single engine delta wing stealth multirole fighter that would have been produced in three variants: an Air Force version, a carrier based Naval version, and a Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing or STOVL version. This episode takes a look at how the X-32 was developed, the design decisions that were made along the way, and its competition against the X-35.If you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to many podcast streaming services including Spotify here:PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com)You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here:https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotogIf you'd like to support this podcast:https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotogAnd finally you can follow me on Twitter here:https://twitter.com/pilotphotog#X32 #JSF #Boeing #competition Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog)

This time I give you a list of the top items I think everyone should carry with them as a sound tech for hire.
This week I am keeping on the theme of real life trouble shooting. I ended up short on the number of channels I needed for a headliner and had to fix a channel that wasn't working properly. I explain the situation in detail and how I (we) got around the problem.
This is a walk through of how I set up the live stream concert with my band. With no concerts happening this is one way to keep your skills up and possibly even get yourself some work out of it.
This week I have a chat with Mitchell McCloy about his experience of going from industry arts college right into working for a production company and running his own studio Canadian Daydream. https://www.cdndd.ca/
https://justinmelimusic.com/Here is my interview with Justin Meli, FOH tech for Crown Lands and studio wizard. We talk about getting home from Europe in the Covid outbreak and of coarse some sound tips. We talk about laying out all the channels for the band and his approach to dealing with having a drummer as a lead singer! Every tech out there knows the struggle.
What can you do when you are stuck at home. Here's a couple good websites to do some ear training. First one is the Golden Ears training at moultonlabs.com/full/product01 The next is one musictheory.net This site has lots of stuff. Go to exercises and click through to interval training.
Dave and I talk about tube amps vs sims, a history of guitar amp companies, and some more technical stuff about how to understand an Ohm load from amp to speaker.www.angusaudio.com
This week I have Zach Gerber on the show. He owns Skytrack studios and he has done a lot of work with Walk off the Earth since their rise to fame in 2012 as well as many other artists. We discus life on the road and in the studio. What it's really like on a tour bus and how to make it through each show on top. We get into the unique pressures of doing live shows compared to the recording studio and the hard choice of if you could only do one, which would you pick?Check out his work at www.skytrackstudios.com www.instagram.com/skytrackstudios www.facebook.com/skytrackstudios
This time I talk about my overall mentality when I comes to dealing with sound as I hear it on each channel strip. Getting the gains set, eq's fixed up and the gates and compressors working to your advantage. This is hard to really explain without hearing or seeing the soundboard but listening in to this episode should help bring my perspective on mixing to the surface.

Things I do on the soundboard to be ready for when the band arrives for sound check. That's about it. I walk through the ways I pre set up each channel strip and bus sends to be ready for a band.
This week I did an interview with Stew Pothier, who is currently the sound tech for Helix. We get into to talking about live recording and how it can give you a better understanding of how to mix live.
When people think about live vs studio work generally people just think about the way you mix. In this episode I talk about time, the pressure, room acoustics, the people, the money, the enjoyment and of coarse feedback! Let me know if you like working live events or recording more?!
Worship teams focus on song arrangements, guitar parts, and vocals, while sometimes neglecting how it all sounds to the congregation. In this episode, I interview Kade Young of CollaborateWorship.com, church and worship sound expert, on how to get great sound no matter what equipment you have. Visit worshipdeeper.com/eq for Kade's EQ Crash Course, a training that is only currently only open to listeners of this podcast. Ok, so I've been a little sensitive about my weight lately. With each Ascension upgrade, I have been packing on a few extra pounds, despite eating healthy and exercising correctly. So you can imagine my excitment to learn about LifeWave's new Body Shaping System and their new acupuncture patch, code-named X32, that helps a person gain lean muscle. Almost everyone knows that the more muscle mass one has, the higher one's metabolism. That means better fat burning. That's why body builders can eat 3x the number of calories and still lose fat! So, enter LifeWave Body Shaping System. My husband, James, did his body composition with a nutritionist before and after 30 days of using the system. He didn't change his exercise routine, just to see if it would work. He used the brand new Body shaping patch and in 30 days, he shed 3.5 pounds of body fat and gained 3.5 pounds of lean muscle. Amazing! You'll want to hear all about this revolutionary system to help you burn fat by building healthy lean muscle when I interview LifeWave's CEO, David Schmidt. We'll be reviewing: Why lowering calories and exercising more isn't working for many peopleWhy you don't want to do traditional cardio workouts if you want to shed fatHow to maximize your growth hormone while you sleep at night so you can build lean muscleHow David put on 12 pounds of muscle in 7 weeks where it would normally take an equally fit person 1 year to do the sameWhy this system works when so many others fail (and who it works for) This is a pre-recorded show, so bookmark this link to be able to access this show any time after it airs even if you can't make it at 12 noon EST. Be sure to "share the love" with someone you think would find this information useful. They will thank you for it!
