Tredje rikets sista dagar präglades av kaos, förstörelse och död. I sitt politiska testamente utsåg Adolf Hitler storamiralen Karl Dönitz till Tysklands nye statschef. Dönitz var ingen ideolog eller sadist som Himmler eller Goebbels, men en lojal och effektiv tjänsteman i ett system byggt på förtryck och massmord. Regeringen han ledde – den så kallade Flensburgregeringen – existerade i drygt tre veckor med huvudsakligt syfte att organisera kapitulationen och möjliggöra för civila och soldater att fly till väst.I praktiken saknade Dönitzregeringen verkligt inflytande. Tysklands militära kapacitet var krossad, infrastrukturen låg i ruiner och de allierade kontrollerade redan stora delar av landet. Ändå spelade regeringen en viss roll i samordningen av partiella kapitulationer, bland annat i Danmark, Norge och norra Tyskland.Detta är det sista avsnittet i en serie av sju om andra världskriget från podden Historia Nu. Programledaren Urban Lindstedt samtalar med militärhistorikern Lars Ericson Wolke, aktuell med boken Tredje rikets sista dagar.Den 7–8 maj 1945 undertecknades Tysklands villkorslösa kapitulation, vilket formellt avslutade kriget i Europa. Trots detta dröjde det till den 23 maj innan Dönitzregeringen arresterades av brittiska trupper och upplöstes. Under mellantiden rådde fullständigt kaos: miljoner människor var på flykt, städer låg i ruiner och tusentals dog i svält, sjukdomar och våld. Tyskland delades upp i fyra ockupationszoner, och i Nürnberg inleddes rättegångarna mot ansvariga för nazismens brott.Karl Dönitz dömdes till tio års fängelse för krigsförbrytelser. I sina memoarer, liksom Albert Speer, försökte han tona ned sin roll och lägga skulden på Hitler. Först långt senare framträdde en tydligare bild av Wehrmachts och SS:s aktiva deltagande i folkmordet.Dönitz var en teknokratisk lojalist. Född 1891, utbildad inom den kejserliga marinen, gjorde han karriär som ubåtsofficer under första världskriget. Under andra världskriget ledde han ubåtskriget mot de allierade med hänsynslös effektivitet och lät använda koncentrationslägerfångar i rustningsindustrin. Han blev partimedlem först 1944, men var länge en trogen anhängare av Hitler.Striderna om Hitlers efterträdarskap hade pågått länge. Hess diskvalificerades efter sin flygning till Storbritannien 1941, Göring föll i onåd, och Himmler förrådde Hitler genom att försöka förhandla med väst. Valet föll slutligen på Dönitz, vars lojalitet aldrig ifrågasatts.Hans regering – baserad i Flensburg vid danska gränsen – försökte fördröja kapitulationen inför Röda armén, och istället prioritera reträtt och överlämnande till västmakterna. Detta ledde till partiella kapitulationer i bland annat Danmark (5 maj), Nordvästtyskland och Nederländerna, samt förhandlingar i Norge. Break 1: 07.14.22 KIA MOG STORY 1: City of Norcross Launches Valet Parking Pilot Program Norcross has launched a six-month Valet Parking Pilot Program to enhance downtown parking convenience. Partnering with G5 Parking Solutions, the service began on March 14, with over 50 cars using it during the inaugural weekend. Valet drop-off is located near The Crossing, operating Fridays and Saturdays (3:30–11 p.m.) and Sundays (3:30–9 p.m.) for $5 per vehicle. Standard public parking remains available, and the city is making adjustments based on feedback to improve the program. Residents are encouraged to share their experiences to help refine the service. STORY 2: New York investigation leads to arrest of suspect in Suwanee murder Gwinnett County police have arrested 20-year-old Delano Hill of Suwanee in connection with a 2022 murder and as a person of interest in a New York City crime. Hill is accused of fatally stabbing Matthew Jones on Sept. 5, 2022, when Hill was 17. Charged with felony and malice murder and aggravated assault, Hill was linked to the NYC case after sharing undisclosed details about a homicide. Following a joint investigation with NYPD, Hill was arrested at his home on March 21 and is now in Gwinnett County Jail. STORY 3: Lawmakers decide to ban cellphones in public elementary and middle schools Starting next fall, Georgia elementary and middle school students will be banned from using personal cellphones during school hours under the “Distraction-Free Education Act,” which passed the General Assembly with bipartisan support. Schools must provide ways for parents to contact children via the principal’s office, with exemptions for medical or disability-related needs. The ban, effective fully by July 2026, aims to reduce classroom distractions and improve student well-being, echoing global concerns about technology’s impact on children. While some suggest extending the ban to high schools, the current focus is on younger students. Gov. Brian Kemp will decide whether to sign the bill. No one gets in… unless they have a C note, no one gets in unless they are bigger than you and are intimidating, no one gets in unless she and her friends are absolutely dropped gorgeous….   Adam was given the order to Reign… he was the bouncer of the garden of eden.  He was over creation… naming it, running it, multiplying it… he was the authority… But When he sinned he covered himself up with that which he was supposed to be over.   Gen. 3 Adam goes from having all power and authority over all of creation to covering himself up with that which he was supposed to be over. Adam and Eve and cover themselves… they cover up their identity/power… and they hide under the trees… they submit to the worlds power… we are under the worlds power, covered in the worlds authority not ours.    How many people Xn and non Xn cover themselves up with creation… they hide under cars, houses, makeup, push up bras, hobbies, money, Worldly causes, jobs, positions, trophies, accolades, popularity, clothes, muscles…etc… And their authority is set under who the world says they are. You are BLM supporter, you are democrat, you are a republican, a tree hugger, you are an anti Vaxer, you are a pro gun nut… right or wrong, good or bad… you choose to follow the worlds power and authority then to choose to be over it… meaning, I first go by what the Bible says and not media or my flesh or my emotions.  You are called to be the authority in this world through Christ. He has given you his power and authority BUT>>> you choose to lay it down and submit to the worlds power and authority?    Which Adam has dominion over your life? The sinful nature passed on through the first, or the new life offered by the last?
