The final round of fixtures before the #WorldCup break was supposed to me a time to go out on a high but not for #Chelsea. Peter Drury described Chelsea's style of play as a new kind of Pressing - #Depressing and it's hard to argue. They lost their 3rd straight #PremierLeague match on the spin and head in to the World Cup in Qatar on their worst run of form in over 10 years. #Newcastle on the other hand are looking like genuine #Top6 contenders #Arsenal are top at #Christmas and playing some of the finest ball in the land and lead #ManCity at the top of the tree by 5 points #DarwinNunez and #Liverpool look to have finally turned the corner Tune in for a full rundown of all the weekend's action

City were firm favourites to take all three points and keep the pressure on league leaders Assna but someone never gave Mo Salah the script. This is it. Our final show before the season starts again. This has probably been the longest summer of ever but there's finally light at the end of the tunnel. In a break from tradition, we decided against doing our #PremierLeague predictions until the season has begun. Instead, we used this time to rant about a few things Enjoy!
Hello hi and welcome back to Armchair Gaffers. This is our penultimate episode before the season gets back underway and life can return to normal again. Today we looked at how a few clubs have performed in their recent games and what conclusions we can draw from preseason performances - do they even count?! We also ran through a few transfers and spoke on how we expect players a settle in at their new clubs.
Another week of us doing out best to bring you football content during this extremely dry period. We should be preparing for the World Cup Final and making excuses for why Gareth Southgate still deserves to be England manager despite not making it out the group stages. But instead we're doing football gossip and transfer round ups Enjoy
Hello, Hi and welcome back to Armchair Gaffers. As we've said previously, we are determined to bring you guys as much content as we can during this summer window. *Disclaimer* Sorry about the sound quality This week we look at the current transfer rumours that are doing the rounds as well as the deals that have already been completed.
Hello Gaffers. We're doing our best to give you content throughout the summer. It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it. Welcome to Episode one of our ACG Summer of Madness which could turn into a Summer of Sadness depending on what business your club conducts. This week we look at our highs and lows of the past campaign and in typical Armchair Gaffer fashion, we go off on variety of various varying tangents. Enjoy!
The 2021/22 #ChampionsLeague final between #Liverpool and #RealMadrid was probably the most exciting one nil match you'll ever see. Liverpool huffed and puffed but when all is said and done, the Karim rises to the top lol - we know he didn't score but this has been his year. Tune in to hear what we have to say about this years final #WeKnowItAll
The final day of the 2021/22 season has come and gone. Teams at both extremes of the league still had it all to play for. At the bottom, Leeds and Burnley were both hoping to avoid joining already relegated Watford and Norwich in the Championship. Arsenal and Tottenham were both trying to secure the final Champions league spot And at the top, Manchester City and Liverpool were going head to head for the prestigious title of Premier League Champions!
We've gone back to our Final 3rd roots in this segment and decided to do one of our famous ACG Quizzes! Unfortunately, Chris was in charge of the questions and that's never a good thing
Welcome to another Armchair Gaffers Continental Corner. This is the segment of the show where we take a low budget flight around the continent and fill you guys in on all that's going on. This week we look at #Mbappe potentially staying at #PSG and what this will mean for his legacy. We also look at the state of play in the remaining big European leagues going in to the last days of the season.
We're into the final week of the season and it's still all to play for at the: Top top, Top and Bottom of the #PremierLeague. The title could still be won by either #City or Liverpool but it is still advantage Manchester City despite their draw against West Ham United. #Arsenal and Tottenham's battle for the last Champions League spot will most likely be decided on the final day of proceedings. And at the bottom of the table, Everton, Leeds and Burnley are all trying to avoid the drop into the Championship
The Final 3rd is back The part of the show where we talk about any and everything The topic on this weeks agenda is the term "World Class" and what criteria/ingredients it takes for a player to be put in the "World Class" bracket. ___________________________________________________________________________
It's that time of the week again. The infamous Armchair Gaffers Continental Corner. This week we take our budget flight to Germany where Bayern Munich clinched their 10th title on the trot in spite of have players like Dayot Upamecano in their squad. PSG also won the UBER Eats Ligue 1 - No surprise there. And we also look ahead to the #ChampionsLeague Semi Finals between: #ManCity #RealMadrid and #Liverpool #Villarreal ___________________________________________________________________________
The rumours of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. We are back in full effect. Full cast and full schedule. This week (like every week) we talk about the crisis at #ManchesterUnited. And we also shine a light on the form - or lack there of of #BrunoFernandes. We discuss the top 4 race, but more specifically, which team in North London is going to qualify because it sure as hell won't be Man U. We also run down all the rest of the games in the #PremierLeague and all the key talking points. ___________________________________________________________________________
This was it. The BIG one! The Title Decider to end all Title Deciders! #ManchesterCity vs #Liverpool What a fantastic game it was, but we're exactly where we were before kick off. Elsewhere in the league, #Arsenal continue to be an embarrassment. #Tottenham are now favourites for 4th and #ManchesterUnited are an utter shambles. ___________________________________________________________________________
It's all going off in the #PremierLeague #Chelsea are get hit for four by their not so noisy neighbours. Has Tuchel finally be found out when he's not deploying a back five or was it just a freak result that was bound to happen? #ManchesterUnited lose even more ground in their hunt for Champions League football - which if we're honest, they don't even deserve. Man City and Liverpool continue to keep this season interesting and Spur are finally showing some character on a consistent basis. Tune in for a full rundown of all this week's Premier League action!
We Back Baby!!! But we couldn't have chosen a worse time to come back from our midseason hiatus. Nobody likes the International break but content must be created as content creators. The main talking points this week are: Harry Kane has been crowned the best ever Italy are a shambles Ghanaian hospitality would get minus 1 star on Advisor
Hello, hi and welcome to another Armchair Gaffers. We've changed our format now. There may be quizzes or there may not be quizzes, nobody knows. But what there will be are discussions about everything else going on in and around the world of football. All of the topics that might slip through the Weekend Review and Continental Corner nets. We hope you enjoy!
Welcome to another Armchair Gaffers Continental Corner. This is the segment of the show where we take a low budget flight around Europe and fill you in with the main talking points from around the continent. This week we're all sick and tired of PSG. Excuse my French, but they are **** and we never wan to watch them play again. That's all
The rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo's demise were greatly exaggerated. Cometh he hour, cometh the man. #Ronaldo was playing like a man possessed as he dropped a clinic on Antonio Conte and his #Spurs side. The pick of the bunch was a 30 yard screamer in to the top corner as #ManchesterUnited ran out 3-0 winners. #Arsenal still haven't folded like many said they will. They were comfortable 2-0 winners as the hosted Brenda Rodgers and Leicester at the Emirates stadium. Odegaar and Partey are both looking like men from Madrid and Lacazette finally scored. Elsewhere: Chelsea picked up a much needed win thanks to Killer Kai Havertz. Liverpool won again to keep this title race alive and Everton have accepted they will be a Championship side next season.
In a break from tradition, this week's Final 3rd isn't just a random quiz, no. We do have a very very very short quiz at the start of the show but then we talk about what we expect to happen to #Chelsea football club now that Russian Billionaire owner Roman Abramhovic has decided to put the club up for sale.
