Despite the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, there's plenty to unpack from our clash with Chelsea. While we didn't secure all three points, there were certainly bright spots in our performance. Martinelli's finish was a moment of quality, and Martin Odegaard's return brought a noticeable spark to our midfield. Defensively we looked in good form, standing strong against Chelsea's attacking threats. We faced challenges, particularly in the opening stages and in creating clear-cut chances, but the team showed resilience and fought hard until the final whistle. Substitutes like Leandro Trossard added fresh energy, though we couldn't quite find that winning goal. This result leaves us with mixed emotions, but there were positives to build on as we head into the international break. I've got some interesting thoughts on our top performers and areas for improvement in this match. Curious to hear if you agree with my analysis?Odegaard and Martinelli were among my top 3 performers. Listen if you agree with the rest and join the conversation.Looking forward to seeing how we bounce back in our next fixture. Share this episode with a fellow Gunner. Until next time, keep the faith!
Alas, Forest's good run came to an end, as Newcastle United came to the City Ground and put us to the sword. Ultimately the best team won and after the Chelsea-Arsenal game, the Reds moved down to fifth in a very tight Premier League table. It was a real shame for Murillo who finally scored his first Forest goal, but Newcastle played Forest at their own game and took their chances well. Referee Anthony Taylor was possibly lenient with a few decisions (Ryan Yates being the main beneficiary) but at least he didn't affect the outcome - it wasn't all about him today. Hosted by Rich Ferraro with Baz, and Newcastle viewpoint from Jack Stanley of Toon Under podcast. We'll be back later in the week to celebrate another win by the Women's Team, as well as our regular Friday news roundup. Thanks for listening. Is this the biggest weekend of the season so far?
Joining me today is legendary goalkeeper Petr Čech. Petr is arguably one of the finest if not the finest goal keeper in Premier Leaugue history. best know for his remarkable time at Chelsea FC from 2004 -- 2015, as well as stints with Sparta Prague, Arsenal, Rennes and of course his home country Czech Republic. Petr is also a huge fan of playing the drums, although he started a little later in life than some others he has really launched himself into it 100%. Petr explains how he found his way into drums by playing the Guitar Hero Drum Set with team mates, this soon developed into a total obsession with the instrument. He tells us how he never goes anywhere without Practice Pad, Sticks and a copy of Stick Control! Petr has his own YouTube channel with lots of drum cover versions - www.youtube.com/@petrcech4450 Petr, thank you so much for giving up your valuable time to chat to me, its very much appreciated!

In a weekend full of derbies, the premier pick was the Chelsea/Arsenal game. In a match that for so long seemed like the Blues would finally beat their cross town rivals, a single small mistake gave the Gunners life. Ending in a draw, how do Brad and James feel about the result. As one who benefited from Arsenal's dropped points, what was Sean's read of the game. Do Everton have cause to feel frustrated that Liverpool didn't also have a man dismissed in their match at Anfield? And in the final London Derby of the weekend, Spurs took full points against Fulham which sees them break away at the top of the table, opening up a two point gap over Manchester City, Arsenal, and three over Liverpool. Fotbalově nejatraktivnější podívanou si Nosiči vody v rámci pohárového týdne s českými zástupci slibují od výjezdu Slavie do Říma. Ostatně velký zápas vyhlíží i José Mourinho, portugalská trenérská legenda. Big 6 matchup. Coming back from International break, this was one of the most anticipated game in Matchweek 9. Arsenal were dealt with a tough battle against Chelsea. The main positive was coming away with a draw. It felt like one of less impressive outings for the team - especially, away. Most of our good games have been away. We ate humble pie with our sloppiness and lack of attacking prowess. One commendable element was the fight and belief the team had, which lead them to get a result. On this episode, I talked about the means to getting a favorable result. But not without abandoning our core game tactics and playmakers. Most of this the discussion isn't about our gameplay but the lack of it. Thankfully, we had good performers to step-in and bring out our quality. I would like to think this experience recalibrates the team and raises the standard. Listen to who my odd players was today and the other top performers. Credit to the team for getting this result. We move. Now we quickly reset for the next game. Onwards & upwards. Listen, share and subscribe.
It's October 20th - welcome dear listener to the latest edition of First State Kopites. I'm Paul and I am joined by Sean to do a brief preview of what's next for the Reds. We have Everton tomorrow in the early kick off and Toulouse at home next Thursday. What do we expect: 13th time we've had this slot since Klopp arrived, nearest to us is 6. Actually does this just tell us that the Reds are really well supported in Asia and Oceania. Everton had nobody traveling or did they? Pickford, Patterson, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Onana. Andy Robbo injury - 10 weeks minimum James Pearce is reporting Tsimikas…. Lacks a lot of things, can we compensate or should we be looking at Joe Gomez in the bigger games? Jet lagged South Americans (they were on Liverpool's video), Gakpo had one training session. How did our boys do on the break - Darwin, VVD, Dom big contributions? Jones suspension hurts - we have won every game he has been on the field Biggest problem is the inability change things from the bench Formation (especially in view of the training game on Thursday?) Prediction Next week Nottingham Forest on the Sunday - still no Jones but should have all 5 attackers available. Winnable games follow. Elsewhere: Referees in the UAE…. do they not care? Schedule difficulty increases for some - Chelsea-Arsenal; City-Brighton United's financial transactions We will be back after the Everton game. Thanks to Sean for joining me. Match week 33 was a hectic week of football. With so many matches since our last episodes, this week's review can not cover all the matches that were played. We focus this week on Tottenham and Arsenal, with tangential coverage of City and Chelsea. Sean fills us in on how the men from the white side of North London is fairing against James' update on the red side of North London. After City's victory over Arsenal, the Manchester club is in sole control of the Premier League championship. City can afford to drop three points across the remainder of the season and still outright win the League. Arsenal will need help from others if they hope to overcome their blushes in April. The Chelsea/Arsenal match rounds out our conversation. How does Brad see his club after their sixth straight defeat. Check out this week's episode of Red Card Radio. #Chelsea are stinking out the league. It was cute when they were battling with Liverpool for mid-table supremacy, but now Liverpool look like they've sorted their act out and Chessy are still bleeding out. #Arsenal meanwhile, look to have overcome their storm in a teacup and are back on top of the league thanks to a 4-2 win away at Villa and also thanks to #ManCity dropping two points away at Forest. Manchester United under the stewardship of Eric Ten Hag and the goal scoring of Marcus Rashford look like they really really mean business. Where will they finish this season?
