After posting a YouTube cover of 'Tuesday' by ILoveMakonnen ft. Drake, the song was remixed and went on to receive platinum awards worldwide while reaching the #1 spot in over 70 countries on iTunes and Shazam. The viral hit has amassed over 1 billion streams online. Following the global success of Tuesday (feat. Danelle Sandoval), Danelle has focused on releasing original music, including her recently released EP For Love, which was inspired by time spent in Toronto, Canada. Live Nation's Ones To Watch explained that Danelle “has established herself as a polished pop star, and her airy voice layered over hypnotic electro-pop production is something we simply can't get enough of." Clash Magazine called her track Hands "a beautifully creative pop hymn with some blissful electronic leanings.” Connect with Danelle: Website Spotify Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube
We had the pleasure of interviewing BabyJake over Zoom video! Bound to be a staple on your summer playlists, alternative singer, songwriter, and producer BabyJakedrops his latest single “Daddy's Coming Home”. On “Daddy's Coming Home,” BabyJake goes full-on outlaw rockstar. His wild delivery rings out with grit and gusto on the guitar-laden banger. In the accompanying music video, BabyJakerescues a damsel-in-distress (from an airstream) and concocts a revenge plot against her father. The outright rowdy visual sets the tone for the forthcoming debut album from the Gold-Certifiedrising star.Of the song, BabyJake says, “I wrote & produced [‘Daddy's Coming Home'] with Danny Shyman, who I did most of this album with. I've been listening to a lot of classic rock and just really wanted to make a rock & roll record. I started on the guitar and the lyric ‘Daddy's coming home...' and we just built from there. It's by far my favorite record I've released so far, and I think a good example of where I'm headed as an artist.”Earlier this spring, BabyJake released his singles“Do I Fit In Your Shoes?” and “Funny Thing About Love” with BipolarSunshine, which were praised by Billboard, V Magazine, TMRW Magazine, American Songwriter, and more. The singles followed his 2020 debut EP Don't give me problems, give me wine hailed by critics and fans alike. The seven-song genre-blurring EPfeatureshis single “Head In The Clouds” and was acclaimed by Notion, The Line Of Best Fit, Ones To Watch, This Song Is Sick, Lyrical Lemonade, and more. Wonderland stated, “Few artists are able to bounce so seamlessly from genre to genre than BabyJake,” while Flauntproclaimed, “BabyJake is on his way to superstardom.”Earlier this year, BabyJake teamed up with Louis The Child on “Somewhere Else.”Stay tuned for more music and news to come from BabyJake this summer!ABOUT BABYJAKEJake Herring, aka BabyJake, first picked up the guitar when he was eight years old. Growing up in Fort Myers FL, he constantly juggled his deep love of classic rock and guitars with an enthusiasm for sports and partying with his friends. For solace, Herring often turned to his dad's folk records, favoring the low-key contemplative sounds that resonated with the sense of alienation that he was feeling. Though he maybe wasn't conscious of it at the time, Herring was priming himself to be a sort of musical chameleon. Well versed in the building blocks of rock music, the intimacy of folk, and with an innate understanding of the rap and pop music he grew up around, he was constructing a well of disparate influences to draw from when he eventually made a serious go at a music career. After his freshman year of college, Herring dropped out and started writing songs as often as he could. Debuting as BabyJake in 2019, his Gold-Certified single “Cigarettes on Patios” topped global viral charts and has accumulated over 100 million streams to date. Despite the global pandemic changing original plans for 2020, BabyJake kept the momentum going with a seven-song debut EP, Don't give me problems, give me wine, which Lyrical Lemonade acclaimed, “an exceptional project.” On the heels of its success, BabyJake sets the stage for his debut album with his latest singles “Do I Fit In Your Shoes?” and “Funny Thing About Love".We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Boyish over Zoom video! Boyish was formed by India Shore and Claire Altendahl in 2016. They met at Berklee College of Music when India needed a guitarist for an audition tape and Claire volunteered. Their musical compatibility quickly became apparent and they started collaborating soon after under the name "The Blue”. The duo went on to write and produce their debut project Carnation in 2018, which received positive write-ups from several publications. The New Yorker described them as “looking uncertainty straight in the eye in songs that are confident in their musicality even when tackling themes of angst and doubt“. Carnation was nominated for Alt-Country Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards. After graduating college in 2019 and feeling the need to start over they changed their name to Boyish. They released their sophomore album Garden Spider on Valentines Day of 2020, which according to Atwood Magazine is “an immersive ten-track indulgence of introspection and inner angst channeled through a colorful, raw indie rock lens,” or as Claire calls it, a declaration of "Big Gay Sadness". WTBU Radio describes it as “a full-length project that can genuinely rival nearly any alternative pop act working right now”. The title track “FUCK YOU HEATHER” has been streamed over 1 million times and was added to playlists like "Fresh Finds Best of 2020” and "Undercurrents". Boyish released their most recent EP “We're all gonne die, but here's my contribution” on May 28th of 2021. The project received praise from Nylon, NPR, Ones To Watch, Them., The GLAAD Wrap, and Lyrical Lemonade. The lead single “Superstar” has been streamed over 400,000 times and was added to Spotify playlists such as “Fresh Finds”, “Lorem”, “All New Indie”, and “Softly”. Their single “whatshisname” was played on BBC Radio 6 and their third and final single “Your Best Friend” was featured as the KUTX Song of The Day. We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Evann McIntosh over Zoom video! Rising 17-year-old singer-songwriter Evann McIntosh (they/them) announces their new album ‘Character Development' out August 27th via Mom+Pop Music. Written and recorded primarily in the breakout star's suburban Kansas bedroom, the 13-track collection mixes dark alt-pop and dreamy R&B with streaks of hip-hop, jazz, and funk, calling to mind everything from Prince to Billie Eilish as it grapples with growth and evolution, gender identity and sexuality, freedom, and self-expression. The album is a work of pure intimacy, a poignant and revealing portrait of modern adolescence from an artist unraveling the mysteries of their psyche one song at a time. “This record is all about growth and change,” Evann explains. “I'm always evolving, and this album is the sound of that transformation, of one version of myself giving way to the next.”Pre-order ‘Character Development': https://evann.me/CharacterdevelopmentEvann's new single “NOBODY ELSE” – a sweet R&B-tinged track on the excitement of a healthy, monogamous relationship – is out today. The intimate music video showcases Evann's lighthearted personality and groovy dancing chops “emanating a self-assured confidence well beyond their age” (Ones To Watch).“‘NOBODY ELSE' is about commitment and being very proud of your relationship with somebody,” Evann says about the song. “It is about monogamy and the idea of there being one person for everybody, and that you've found yours.”Previously released single from ‘Character Development,' “JENN!FER AN!STON” set the tone for Evann's unpredictable and adventurous LP. The spare, slow-burning track stacks heavenly vocal harmonies and the video sees Evann galavanting around a luxurious penthouse and grooving through New York City. ABOUT EVANN MCINTOSH:Character Development is more than just Evann McIntosh's transfixing new album; it's their way of life. Written and recorded primarily in the breakout 17-year-old star's suburban Kansas bedroom, the collection mixes dark alt-pop and dreamy R&B with streaks of hip-hop, jazz, and funk, calling to mind everything from Prince to Billie Eilish as it grapples with growth and evolution, gender identity and sexuality, freedom and self-expression. The writing here is as insightful as it is unpredictable, alternating between earnest poeticism and playful acrobatics, and the production is similarly adventurous, with McIntosh's longtime collaborator Jesty Beatz once again wrapping their performances in lush, magnetic arrangements. Even at its most densely layered, though, the album remains a work of pure intimacy, a poignant and revealing portrait of modern adolescence from an artist unraveling the mysteries of their psyche one song at a time. Character Development follows McIntosh's acclaimed 2019 debut, MOJO, a digital juggernaut that racked up more than 31 million streams in part due to the viral TikTok success of lead single “What Dreams Are Made Of.” Ones To Watch hailed the music's “self-awareness and vulnerability,” while WWD praised McIntosh's “maturity and vision,” and Vogue HK declared that they were “ready to conquer the world.” The record also caught the attention of esteemed indie label Mom + Pop, who signed McIntosh over Zoom in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We had the pleasure of interviewing Valerie Broussard over Zoom video! Platinum-certified singer, songwriter and powerhouse vocalist Valerie Broussard has today released the official music video for her single “Iris,” a breathtaking rendition of the Goo Goo Dolls classic. Click HERE to watch. Inspired by a favorite lyric from the song, the video finds Valerie floating through the galaxy alone gazing down at the world below her. “The Goo Goo Dolls music video for ‘Iris' is the first I ever truly fell in love with,” Valerie shared. “When making my own video, I wanted to give an homage to theirs. In the original, Johnny is locked away in a tower, looking down upon the city below with various telescopes. I always felt like the concept made the lyrics, especially the line ‘and I don't want the world to see me,' hit home. In my video, I used the same idea, only I'm looking down on the world from a space station.”“Iris” is the first official single off Valerie's forthcoming debut EP Voyager due out this fall. We had the pleasure of interviewing Jake Wesley Rogers over Zoom video! After quietly stirring up buzz as an independent pop phenomenon, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jake Wesley Rogers signs to Facet Records—the label founded by powerhouse mega songwriter Justin Tranter—in partnership with iconic Warner Records. To celebrate the news, Jake shares his major label debut single and music video “Middle of Love” today. This morning, Zane Lowe personally premiered the tune on his Apple Music 1 radio show. About Jake, Zane described him as “wildly talented” and “sometimes people are just born into it.” About “Middle of Love,” he called it a “fantastic song” and “songwriting at its finest.” “Middle of Love” lives up to that high praise. Powered by propulsive piano and a stadium-size beat, the track leaps forward towards a massive refrain as he confesses, “I’m in the middle of love…in the middle of loving you.” The visual echoes this energy, while Jake tells his own story punctuated by vivid nostalgic lyrics and undeniable delivery. Though the bulk of his music was written before the pandemic, several were finished in lockdown, with “Middle of Love” showcasing the power of Justin’s mentorship and collaboration. He continues to pour out his heart on his forthcoming EP—coming soon. Born in Kansas City, MO, Jake Wesley Rogers combines skyscraping vocals, eloquent songcraft, and driving instrumentation to give pop a jolt of infectious integrity and soaring spirit. Generating 20 million-plus streams independently, he captivated a growing fanbase with various singles and the Evergreen EP and Spiritual EP . Attracting widespread acclaim, Atwood Magazine described “Little Queen” as “a triumphant anthem,” while Ones To Watch raved, “What was once a young man finding his way through solitary expression, now emerges an artist embracing a new future standing on the shoulders of his own younger self with his phenomenal new EP, Spiritual.” Eventually, Justin Tranter heard the powerful and poetic “Jacob From The Bible,” fell in love with Jake’s music, and signed him to Facet Records/Warner Records in 2020. Now, he kicks off his biggest, boldest, and brightest chapter yet with the single “Middle of Love” and more to come. Jake Wesley Rogers’ bold music is queer storytelling refracted through a universal lens; it’s inspired by the authenticity and artistry of his heroes like Adele, Regina Spektor, and Florence + the Machine. His songs are for everyone, but they’re special treats for those who know and share his experiences. Jake has turned his most formative years into some of the most stunning and evocative music you’ll hear this year. We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Bahari over Zoom video! Every so often, two separate journeys collide to form the perfect union in just the right place at just the right time. Bahari blossom from a similar confluence of circumstances. Singer and keyboardist Ruby Carr hails from the tiny island of Lamu off the coast of Kenya, while singer and bassist Natalia Panzarella calls Nashville home. Each of their experiences shapes a dynamic, diverse, and dark take on alternative pop. Generating over 200 million streams and receiving acclaim from Ladygunn, Nylon, Billboard, Ones To Watch, and more, the Los Angeles-based duo bring a shared vision to life across their music. Lifelong musical obsession bonded the girls. Ruby refers to the village of Lamu as “a little family.” She attended a school of only five students. Mom introduced her to Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, and The Eagles. She also endlessly played a Tupac tape. Without easy access to music, she requested albums from visitors and discovered Rihanna and Black Eyed Peas via MTV, watching videos all day. Eventually, she enrolled in boarding school where she picked up piano. About 8,521 miles away from Kenya, Natalia split her childhood between Nashville and the South Bay of Los Angeles. Her mother worked as a professional songwriter and passed on a passion for music. She listened to everyone from Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and Destiny’s Child to Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Dolly Parton. She penned her first song at 10-years-old for a boy and never stopped writing. At 16-years-old, she met Ruby during a songwriting session at Rock Mafia studio. Ruby and Natalia also completed homeschool together in between releasing music as Bahari. Bahari initially made waves with “Wild Ones,” which generated 38.1 million Spotify streams. They maintained a consistent pace with the Dancing on the Sun EP and singles “Get Together” and “Fucked Up.” Along the way, they supported Selena Gomez and Birdy on tour and teamed up with Zedd and Grey for collaborations. After quietly grinding, Bahari earned a viral hit with 2018’s “Savage.” Not only did the song generate over 100 million total streams, but it also went gold. Signing to Epic Records, the pair reup “Savage” with an Official Remix featuring rapper BIA. “Savage” paves the way for the album. Ruby and Natalia moved in together, built a studio, and primarily took production into their own hands. Drawing on influences as diverse as the scores of Hans Zimmer and Air, they carefully crafted an expansive, ethereal, and entrancing body of work. On one end of the spectrum, warbling bass and woozy melodies distill “a pure feeling of paranoia” into the chaotically catchy “Waking Up The Neighbors.” Then, there’s “Jackie Kennedy.” Upheld by nothing but solo piano and soft strings, the track culminates on the mournful crescendo, “We’ve lost a lifetime, you and I.” In the end, the power of Bahari arises from this empathy. London was probably our biggest wildcard this season as both our brackets were stacked with unfamiliar designers. Lucky for us, our picks served up some surprisingly fun, quirky and want to wear now looks. Listen in to hear our reviews for JORDANLUCA, Jamie Wei Huang, A.W.A.K.E Mode, Edward Crutchley and 16Arlington. And we have to give a special callout to Lupe Gajardo for serving up the funniest digital presentation we’ve ever seen. Seriously, it’s the perfect antidote to an industry that can take itself a little too seriously at times. We also jump back to New York for a quick look at Christian Siriano’s in person event. In our show centered Style Snacks, we take a look at Kim Jones first Fendi presentation, Khaite, Roksanda and Prada. www.runwaywalkscurrenttalks.com https://www.instagram.com/runwaywalkscurrenttalks/ https://twitter.com/RunwayTalks https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW7W32h_5l7nnlrL1vazjlw/featured

Hello and Welcome to Sorry! You're in my Seat - the weekly podcast that travels throughout Hollywood's back alleys to find the very best that film has to offer. After last weeks SMUT, the guys turn their attention to those actors that maybe don't get the recognition they deserve. Maybe they're under appreciated, maybe they're the reason you go see a movie or maybe they're the best damn thing on screen and no one remembers their name. From back ground players to Oscar winning actors, our heroes bring 15 of their favourite misunderstood/underrated/favourites and an underrated film each. Prepare to disagree with everything they say. Why not get your own lost and send it in? As always, please leave a review and share with a friend. And most importantly...enjoy
It's a bonus edition of the Unearthed podcast with Dave Ruby Howe joined by triple j music brains like Bridget Hustwaite, Declan Byrne, Tanya Bunter and more to take you through the 10 artists that we reckon you need to watch out for in 2021.
part episode is brought to you by Dan and Jess. This week we discuss a few FA upsets, we go back and look a few of our ones to watch - both hits and misses. What footballing moment would you change if you could. We also revisit our "Inbetweeners League"
Crowds are back and with it some great home performances in Gameweek 12 in an increasingly unpredictable season. Eberechi made it look Eze with a great performance against Spurs. The Toffees provided sticky opposition to high flying Chelsea on Merseyside. And Fulham showed some cottage industry to win a deserved point against the lacklustre champions. But of course the big talking point was the game at the Emirates as Arsenal slump to a defeat at home to out of form Burnley. Is Arteta’s time up? Why does he keep playing Xhaka Laca over others? And following a tough Xmas period, will the Gunners need to spend money just to stay up? There’s a festive feel in the air as we discuss our pod plans for the next few weeks with an exciting jam packed schedule approaching and all the fun that comes with the dreaded squad rotation! Kicking off with the B&B Festive XI which we want you to get involved with.Any person involved in the game currently that you can turn Christmassy, can make the Festive Xi, so get your players in to us on TwitterTo finish we review the midweek fixtures including loads of stats, analysis and player tips to get you through the next few days!!Ho Ho Ho!!!
A condensed pod this week as the boys look forward to the beginning of the festive period for the Premier League.Casting an eye over the standout moments from last weekend to formulate the plan for this.Boom discusses his latest transfer after his Gameweek 10 defeat and Beard waxes lyrical as his side continue the form that they have promised for so long.A poor showing from both establishments in the Ones To Watch but sometimes you have to win ugly!Concluding with the main event as B&B dig out those diamonds hidden amongst the bin juice for Gameweek 11.It's shorter than Utd's Champs League campaign!!!
Gameweek 10 provided a lot of talking points for this weeks pod as the Foxes misfire against Fulham, United win a thriller on the South Coast and as we predicted West Brom bounced into a winnable game against the Blades and came away with the spoils. We take a look at worrying form for early pace setters Everton as Phillips turns the screw for Leeds in an impressive performance at Goodison. Our fantasy team performances provide us with some encouraging and worrying form in equal measures in our fantasy league roundup. And as always we review Gameweek 11 for you picking out the key fixtures and a host of players you could draft in to give you the edge on another key weekend of football!See you there!!
Gameweek 9 provided another great round of games as we look back at a Mourinho masterclass at the Lane, a bottom 3 taking shape, and a convincing Liverpool performance against Boom’s Foxes. After being called ‘Arsenal Obsessed’ by a fellow league member, Beard takes a long hard look at himself and his comments to analyse if they are justified. There is a great story from one of our listeners to warm the winter cockles in our popular new Football Memoir feature.Storytime and Ones to Watch results, and of course our StatAttack closes the pod as we look ahead to Gameweek 10... including why playing the long game with a few free agents could be the best strategy going into the manic festive period, yes Ndidi! All that and more…and it’s Liiiive!!
We kick off this week with our new Football Memoir feature sent in by one of our loyal listeners and closet Sea Dog fan Gav as he takes us down memory lane to a vital clash at the McCain stadium. It’s an absolute cracker!!With no Premier League action there is nothing to review, so we jump straight into Storytime with the results of last weeks vote and 2 new ‘Monster' stories involving the late Eric Hall and a famous Hat-trick at Upton Park as an unlikely stopper sticks the gloves on for the Geordies against the Hammers.Ones to Watch results are in for Gameweek 8 as Beard looks to level the scores against a buoyant Boom. And finally we look ahead to the return of the Premier League after what seems like an eternity with some mouthwatering fixtures at the top of the table and a few tips on players you could snap up amidst a wave of positive Covid-19 tests, injuries and suspensions in a very tricky Gameweek 9. Let’s Gooooooo!!!
With the international break in full swing, Beard and Boom review a topsy-turvy weekend in the Prem as the Villans steal the points at the misfiring Gunners and the Foxes go top of the tree with another impressive performance.Beard gets a live transfer offer he likes and discusses the dilemma with Boom…but does he pull the trigger?Storytime returns this week with a look at an unexpected transfer source and a how a ‘kinky' bit of weather can get you out of trouble. We’re not judging Boom…whatever you are into mate! And to close, we are super excited to introduce our brand new feature…Football Memoirs. Each week we will be taking trips down memory lane to reminisce on everything that is football from the past that gives us a fuzzy glow. From the smell of the pies at away days to Panini stickers albums and iconic haircuts, join us each week as we attempt to warm your winter over the coming weeks.
Later than usual this week, the guys get together to cover all the top talking points from last weekend and of course the gift that keeps on giving....Manchester United.Acknowledging the harsh treatment dished out to Chelsea on recent pods Boom steps forward and begins the praise for Frank and his boys as the new signings look to be clicking at the Bridge. The Social covers some interesting pronunciation issues as well as the usual bias spouted all over Twitter.Ones to Watch get's updated with Beard currently trailing 4-2 after the opening 6 weeks and both managers get to sub in a new player to help guide you through the festive period, which ties into Beard's Stat Attack very well, where as usual, the pod comes to a close with all the latest bin juice you need to wash yourself in for Gameweek 8.Get your scrubbing brushes and bottle of Matey at the ready!
We're calling this segment, "Continental Corner". We have a quick wizz around Europe and talk on a few of the goings on. This includes: Real Madrid, The Power struggle at Barca, Joao Felix and Atleti, Ones to watch and we end the show with our new segment - Myth Busters!
A more concise pod this week as Beard & Boom navigate the murky waters of half term and houses that sound like a kids party in a local play cafe. Speaking of a Partey…Vardy had one at the Emirates as the Gunners falter at home, United and Chelsea kindly offer support to people with insomnia and Bamford arrests the run of the Villans with a trick in the Midlands. There is concern for the future of Pep in the social as we look at a tweet suggesting that maybe it’s time to call a siesta to the Spaniards reign There’s the Ones to Watch as one of our hosts get a squeaky win in a tight encounter. And of course there is the StatAttack to close as we take a deeper look into the good, the bad and the ugly…. including a Fox going Under the radar, a Bat that’s perfect for a spooky Friday night football and why you won’t have a Cairney in the world if you start to give a Fuchs about your squad rotation. ;-)All this and more in this weeks pod!
We had to go slightly off script following the weekends surprise results, hence why we have had to release multiple parts of this episode. In this instalment we look at: Manchester United's 6 - 1 loss to Tottenham and Aston Villa's 7 - 2 destruction of the Mighty Liverpool. Our ones to watch here in the UK and in Europe. We also discuss the transfers that caught our eye and the ones that shocked us. Also, vote for you gaffer of the week! We discuss how well we think the Premier League teams will in this seasons Champions League. And we also briefly touch on the England squad selection.
We are back and looking at the bigger picture with the latest proposal to bail out the EFL clubs proposed by the Premier League’s elite. We look at the pro’s and cons and why the devil is certainly in the detail on this one!!Money grabbing Premier League clubs is certainly the theme this week as we also take a look at the Pay Per View setup for this season in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, as Beard thinks they may have dropped the ball with the price point. The Social keeps things light this week with a change from the usual as we take a comedic look at some of the latest Fifa ratings following the release of the new instalment last week. And there is a massive Stat Attack segment as Beard and Boom go deep into the fixtures and look at why a cheeky performance from the Cottagers could blunt the Blades and win you the gameweek. All this and more in this weeks pod!!
Beard and Boom welcome the international break with open arms following horrific results for United, Leicester and their respective Fantasy sides. We cover the action across Gameweek 4 including the performance of a lifetime from Villa as they humble the Champions to conclude an amazing weekend of football.Deadline day was a bit…well meh…but certainly some clubs were active and there is no doubt that it’s Partey Time at the Emirates. We look at the latest deals in the Prem and who might be the best bet in the waiver wire this week.Lots of fun in the Social including a shocking FIFA21 rating for Lamptey, a look at why it’s wise to tweet after the game, not before... and Boom calls on Twitter to clear his conscience. No Stats this week due to the International interference, but Ones to Watch results are in and one of the hosts gets a pasting!Get involved!
The British Journal of Photography recently released their 2020 Ones to Watch list – a globally diverse list of talent that includes a number of photographers that we've talked about in previous shows. Also, SFMOMA creates a series of short animations to introduce some of the pioneers of photography. The animation is kitschy, the info is high quality, and you'll want to read up on the names you've heard before, but probably forgot since your college photo history course.

In the wake of the opening of the airport's newest terminal and instituting a post-security pass system for non-ticketed guests to dine and shop in the airport, Friedman finds joy in providing a memorable and warm experience for all MSY guests, travelers and otherwise.
