A sniper is dead after setting a fire on Canfield Mountain in Kootenai County to lure firefighters to the area. The sheriff said two firefighters were killed and a third was wounded and is fighting for his life. The shooting went on for hours Sunday on the mountain in Coeur d'Alene. A massive manhunt is underway in Arkansas for Grant Hardin, a former police chief who walked out of a prison in a makeshift prison guard uniform. Hardin has been missing since Sunday, May 25. Authorities say he walked out of the prison in the homemade disguise. Hardin was serving time for murdering a man in 2017. While serving time for murder, it was discovered he raped a woman in 1997.
