For four months after his death she remained free, photographed at a hotel bar days later, until an arrest in Hawaii and a bond denial that cited her money and her history of violating court orders.On August 10, 2026, the second-degree murder charge vanished. In its place came manslaughter with a deadly weapon, a guilty plea, and a six-year sentence with four years of jail credit already earned. Before Christian Obumseli was stabbed to death in his Miami apartment, he hid his phone and recorded Courtney Clenney without her knowledge. More than fifteen times, according to court filings. What he captured is brutal to listen to — racial slurs, screaming, a demand to be allowed to hit him, the audible sound of a slap. Prosecutors say one recording captures Clenney telling Obumseli to "enjoy the hospital" after reportedly splitting his lip. They called that recording critical to their case.But the jury may never hear most of it.Judge Andrea Wolfson ruled the majority of those recordings inadmissible. Depending on which lawyers you listen to, the more than fifteen secret recordings he made of Courtney Clenney inside their Miami apartment are either the desperate documentation of a man being abused — or a calculated system of psychological control designed to manufacture leverage over a woman whose public career could be destroyed by what was on those tapes.On the recordings, Clenney is heard screaming, calling Obumseli racial slurs, and demanding to strike him. One recording captures what prosecutors describe as her telling him to "enjoy the hospital" after reportedly splitting his lip. In this episode of the Court TV Podcast, Vinnie Politan examines the circumstances and facts surrounding the case against OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney. She is accused of fatally stabbing her 27-year-old, live-in boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in their Miami apartment in April 2022. Clenney is charged with second-degree murder and claims she acted in self-defense.As part of their investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for not only Courtney's accounts but also those of her parents, Kim and Deborah Clenney. Based on what they found, prosecutors then filed computer crimes charges against the entire family. But those charges heavily relied on messages protected by attorney-client privilege, forcing prosecutors to drop the charges after a judge ruled the evidence was inadmissible.
