On Monday's Mark Levin Show, there was a second assassination attempt on President Donald Trump over the weekend thanks to off-the-charts negative media propaganda towards him, and now the media is blaming Trump for these assassination attempts. There is a Marxist Islamist revolution taking place in this country that has found a home in the Democrat party, and the media is doing the heavy lifting for them by covering for Kamala Harris and comparing Trump to Hitler. They have now tried to kill Trump twice in 60 days because violent revolutions go hand in hand with Marxism. Later, Mark speaks with Martin County Sherriff William Snyder about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and the immediate response from the Martin County police to catch the shooter and put him into custody. Finally, Larry O'Connor fills in for Mark later in the show to give his thoughts on the 2nd Trump assassination attempt and the media propaganda blaming the victim. Learn more about your ad choices. As you may know, May was Older Americans Month, and NRPA celebrated by sharing how older adult programs in parks and recreation are making a big impact in communities across the country. On today's episode, we're excited to explore one of the most popular programs in NRPA's Healthy Aging in Parks portfolio: Tai Chi. Through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NRPA has been working with park and recreation agencies across the country for the last 11 years to increase the availability of and participation in the CDC's Arthritis Appropriate Evidence-Based Interventions, which are  Active Living Every Day, Fit & Strong!, EnhanceFitness, Walk With Ease and Tai Chi, which was added to our portfolio in 2022 and has become the most sought-after program through NRPA's grant application process. As part of NRPA's Healthy Aging work, park and recreation agencies across the country have trained more than 1,000 instructors, offering more than 2,000 of the evidence-based interventions you mentioned to nearly 29,000 participants through 441 agencies. And while we're focusing on Tai Chi today, it's important to highlight that impact across all of these interventions, because it's pretty incredible. Our guests today know a little bit about Tai Chi and the benefits it provides: Patricia Lawson, a master trainer at the Tai Chi for Health Institute, Carol Briseno, a recreation coordinator at Martin County Parks and Recreation, and Colleen Pittard, a partnership manager at NRPA. Tune in to the full episode below to learn more about this impactful program. You'll also learn: Why Tai Chi is such a beneficial activity for physical and mental health (and spiritual and social health) for older adults How the community in Martin County has embraced its Tai Chi program How to navigate barriers to older adult programming How findings from NRPA's Supporting Older Adults through Parks and Recreation report can help inform your programming approach And much more!   Related Links: NRPA's Healthy Aging in Parks Initiative NRPA's Supporting Older Adults through Parks and Recreation Report Tai Chi for Health Institute Martin County Parks and Recreation Older Adult Programs

It was from a middle-aged woman asking for Delia's help investigating the mysterious death of her 27-year-old brother from 1991. The message stood out for one big reason. The man's mangled body was found in an all-too-familiar place to Delia. Eastern North Carolina.33 years after Douglas Wagg, Jr. turned up on a lone stretch of railroad tracks in the middle of the night in rural Martin County, and over a year since Delia took on the case, the scope of what was really going on in the area during the 1990's has come into view. Who was Doug? How did he end up so far from home? Who was he last seen with? Was the train really what killed him? Why was his case never investigated? The journey to find the answers to those questions has revealed a web of small town secrets that feel like fiction, except they're not. Over the course of the Season 6 investigation Delia has interviewed more than 45 people, spoken with convicted murderers in prison, and traced the origins of a disturbing pattern of behavior within local law enforcement that may have resulted in a decades-long cover up of multiple deaths. The investigation into what happened to Doug Wagg appears to be just the tip of a very large, very complicated iceberg that someone has worked hard to keep hidden for more than three decades. For even more time with CounterClock, follow us on social media.Instagram: @counterclockpodcast | @audiochuckTwitter: @CounterClockPod | @audiochuckFacebook: /CounterClockPodcast | /audiochuckllc

School leaders in Pine City, Fergus Falls and Duluth are regrouping after their referendums failed. In Duluth, the district was asking to raise $5 million in property taxes each year to fund technology and security upgrades as well as new technical educational programs. It failed by 453 votes, according to preliminary results from the district. In Fergus Falls, the district asked to raised property taxes to build a new school for grades 3 through 5. It failed by 921 votes. School board chair for Duluth Public Schools Jill Loflad and Fergus Falls Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Drake joined MPR News host Cathy Wurzer.

Serving as a sheriff's deputy in Martin County, Florida, Gerard Schaefer led a double life, portraying himself as a dedicated officer while secretly engaging in gruesome acts. Schaefer was convicted of the first degree murders of two young women, Susan Place and Georgia Jessup. Investigators suspect that Schaefer was responsible for as many as thirty murders from the late 60s to the early 70s before his arrest and eventual conviction. During his incarceration, Schaefer penned short stories depicting the abduction and murder of women, some of which contained chilling details correlating with women who had been reported missing or bodies that had been found, adding a disturbing layer to the already gruesome nature of his crimes.   **TRIGGER WARNING** Abduction | Kidnapping | Torture | Dismemberment | Murder with a weapon (Knife & Gun) | Rape | Animal Cruelty | Racism Hang with us: Follow Us on Instagram Like Us on Facebook Join our Case Discussion Group on Facebook Get Killer Queens Merch Bonus Episodes Check Out our Amazing Sponsors:  LolaVie: Get 15% off LolaVie with the code QUEENS at https://www.lolavie.com/QUEENS #lolaviepod Want More Ways to Support the Show?  Visit Our Amazon Storefront: Head over to killerqueenspodcast.com/links and scroll down to “Shop Our Style” or “Our Amazon Faves.” Here, you'll find all the posts you can shop with our unique links to each item as well as our Amazon Storefront where we have lists like:  90's Finds (curated by Tori with all the best 90's stuff like tomagotchis and my little ponies) Back to School Must-Haves Gift Ideas for Kiddos that Tyrella loves Podcast Essentials (if you've ever wanted to start your own) and more!  Get Our First 44 Episodes Free: Want access to our first 45 episodes? Grab em here! My guest and friend, Tina Ivey allowed me to ask questions about her personal trauma of domestic and sexual abuse. Tina has not only survived sexual abuse by her father but she's excelled beyond merely surviving. She is living a life that is full, busy and rewarding. I personally feel that one of the strongest markers for a life of thrive/thriving is to live in peace, contentment and forgiveness. Those qualities describe Tina. In this episode we talk about many aspect of abuse such as what keeps victims from speaking up? What is something that the average person can look for in order to help someone who is experiencing sexual abuse? Additionally, Tina shares her foster care experience that included a neighbor girl who was a bully. Tina also shares how she and that girl (after they had become adults) cross paths and how God challenged Tina's ability to forgive. I asked Tina about forgiveness in 3 areas: her father, God and herself. Like so many abuse victims, she withheld forgiveness from herself the longest. She shared about her regrets and the healing process that took place as she wrote her book titled, Better Than I Should be: Overcoming Sexual and Domestic Abuse through Forgiveness and Personal Healing. The book became available for purchase on December 20, 2023, so it's available now. We didn't get to discuss all that Tina's book reveals so the purchase link will be in the show notes if you'd like to read more about her journey. She had the proverbial cards of life stacked against her since she was a tiny girl but God does amazing things with simple childlike faith. Real quick before we get started, when I was looking at the transcript there is a part of our conversation where Tina refers to Jaci. I noticed we did not share who that is. Jaci is Tina's daughter. Let's get to it. Listen in for a small glimpse into Tina's journey through sexual abuse and her steadfast faith in believing that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He'll do. Burning Desire For Perfection Defines Winged Foot's Retired Manager As He Climbs An Apogee

Colin Burns had only 4.5 years of experience in hospitality when he applied for the club manager's position at Winged Foot, one of the most storied private golf clubs in the nation, if not the world. And, after an eight-month search process, he was selected as the club's next general manager – all 31 years ago when Colin had just crossed the line into his thirties. He recalls the president of the club asking him if Colin weren't a tad young for the job. Colin replied: It's not a permanent condition. As we watch a generation of these long-serving club managers move into retirement or consulting – in addition to Colin, we lost Brian Kroh just this month at John's Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida – we are left with a legacy from which we can all learn. Colin's experience is second to none. He managed the US Open during the height of Covid. Five full years of planning all going down the drain as he had to work with the Governor of New York and plan the tournament without spectators as Bryson DeChambeau put his indelible mark on the sport. Now as he joins executive search firm GGA, Colin discusses how every club has a different environment and that search committees, managers and search firms should understand the club's culture first before trying to match a candidate to the club. Do Things with People, Not to Them If you really desire a quality organization you should do things with people, not to them. Burns has put this as his central motif throughout his career. And, with that teamwork sentiment, Colin points out that the hierarchy of a private members club staff doesn't always equate to salary levels. The director of golf, tennis, squash, or even agronomy, may indeed be the highest paid member of staff at many clubs. And what's even more meaningful to club staff members than base compensation? Housing is top of Colin's list and finds it the top of his staff members' list as well. Retiring To a Zenith at Apogee And finally, Apogee means zenith or the highest point of development – and Colin's new project is certainly a zenith of physical land development and a highlight of a continuing, outstanding career. Originally named COO for an incredible project based in Hobe Sound, Florida, now senior advisor, Colin is truly excited about Apogee. It's a three-course extravaganza – or as he calls it “Streamsong on Steroids.” Designers Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner, Mike Davis and Tom Fazio and Kyle Phillips have teamed up with financial backing from Dolphins owner Steve Ross. Colin takes us through the plans and the vastness of this incredible project, and how this team is betting on South Florida moving up to Martin County in the very near future beyond Jupiter and toward sleepy Stuart.

Mike and the band just returned from their September tour in Poland, and he tells us how American Blues music connects with people all over the world. He also shares the importance music has had in his life. When I first heard Mike sing, I thought it was Jack Bruce from Cream. Mike Onesko soulful voice is the heart of the Blindside Blues Band sound.   Mike was discovered in the clubs of Martin County, California by Shrapnel records president Mike Varney. Shortly after, Onesko formed the Blindside Blues Band with Scott Johnson on guitar, Gregg Chaisson on bass guitar and, Racer X frontman and Badlands drummer, Jeff Martin on drums. The band put out three records with this lineup. Although Gregg played on the records he never did any live shows with the band. That duty was filled admirably by Kier Staeheli. The last Shrapnel lineup for the Blindside Blues Band was Mike Onesko, Mike Varney, Aysnley Dunbar, James Lomenzo. Onesko went on to Comet Records in Italy to record many records such as "Mike Onesko's Guitar Army", "Smokehouse Sessions", "Live At The Torrita Blues Festival, Italy", as well as "Voodoo Crossing" and "Gypsy Blood" (both Jimi Hendrix tributes). mikeonesko.com

Paulding County News Podcast Sunday 1, 2023  Paulding Sheriffs warning post:    While Paulding Schools are out this week on fall break the sheriff's office wants to keep you and your belongings safe. While you're on vacation please refrain from posting the pretty sunset or how much fun you are having until you get home. Robbers could be stalking your social media accounts to see if you are out of town. So please make sure you protect your family and your belongings and be careful what you post...........This from Paulding County Sheriffs Facebook Page    Fulton County Medical Examiners to Educate Hiram High School Students on Career Day:    The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office (FCME) is participating in a Career Day at Hiram High School in Paulding County, with the goal of educating and inspiring students about potential careers as medical examiners and investigators. Medical examiners will explain their role in determining the cause and manner of death, as well as their collaboration with law enforcement. They will also discuss issuing death certificates, handling personal belongings, and locating next of kin. The event happened on September 20, 2023, at 8 a.m. at Hiram High School in Georgia............This from Newsbreak    Why Sports Physicals Are So Important for Student Health:  Georgia students gearing up for the new school year should remember the importance of sports physicals, mandated by Georgia law for student athletes. These exams, known as preparticipation physical evaluations (PPEs), ensure it's safe for students to engage in sports and can uncover health issues that might affect performance or safety. It's advisable to schedule PPEs at least six weeks before the sports season begins to allow time for further tests or treatment if needed. During a PPE, a physician examines medical history, conducts a physical tailored to the sport, and checks for underlying conditions. It's crucial not only for eligibility but for athletes' overall health and safety. CareSource offers sports physicals through its mobile unit, Wellness on Wheels, in various locations throughout September. However, sports physicals should not replace a child's annual well visit, which provides a more comprehensive view of their overall health, including immunizations and developmental milestones............This from Georgia Trend Daily       Weather:    This weekend we are going to stay in the Low 80's and in the high 70's and the lows are going to be in the low 60s and high 50s. Citizens are advised not to approach him if spotted and to call 911 immediately. Property owners are urged to exercise caution, and a heavy police presence is expected in the area. Acklin's description includes his date of birth (DOB), height, weight, eye color, and hair description..........This from the Paulding County sheriff's Facebook Page   He helped change a woman's tire, but what happened next has left him in severe pain for weeks    Keith Paine, who was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident in Austell, Georgia, is calling for safety improvements on the road where the incident occurred. Paine was assisting a 63-year-old woman with a flat tire on Cardell Road when another driver collided with her car, throwing him 20 feet into a ditch. He suffered head injuries requiring staples, a collapsed lung, and swelling in his right leg. Paine, who is self-employed, faces at least a 4-week recovery period without income and maybe longer. He expressed concerns about speeding on Cardell Road, inadequate street lighting, and mailbox damage. Cobb County authorities have initiated a traffic study in response to the incident. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help with Paine's medical bills, and the condition of the injured woman, Deborah Wright, remains unknown. The driver responsible for the hit-and-run, Anthony Sarfo, is in Cobb County Jail, facing multiple charges.............This from Fox 5  This just proves that anything can happen on the road even if you are not in a vehicle. Nex time you take a curve too fast in Paulding County it could be an Animal or a person.    Sports:  From the Paulding Sports Chronicles  Most of Paulding County was on a bye week and only one team in the county played.   South Paulding fell to Newnan 15-21  But in other news Hiram is ranked #5 in the 5A division in the state!    Weird news:  Amazon driver attacked by venomous rattlesnake while making delivery in Florida:  An Amazon delivery driver in Florida is in serious condition after being bitten by a rattlesnake while delivering a package. The incident occurred when the driver placed a box by the front door of a home, and an eastern diamondback snake leaped out and bit her. She quickly fell ill and called for assistance. She was subsequently hospitalized and was reported to be in "very serious" condition. The snake responsible for the bite was captured and euthanized. Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes are common in the Southeastern United States and are the largest rattlesnake species, with a bite that can be fatal in 10% to 20% of cases if left untreated. Martin County, where the incident occurred, is located on Florida's Atlantic coast, just north of Palm Beach. The driver's name and age were not disclosed in the report............This from Fox 5  Please be careful around snakes. As it starts to get cold, they will try to find warmer places to lie. DML says it is in celebration of Trump, DML's 53rd birthday, and his friend Amy Pritchett, who is also a TeamDML member, winning her election for school board member in Martin County, FL.
