The sports nutrition landscape is certainly not stagnant right now. Hyperlyte Liquid Performance is a new brand with a simple formulation and mission; to keep runners fueled and properly hydrated without breaking the bank. With a higher sodium concentration than most brands, this product is great for those who lose a lot of fluid and sodium. Emory shares his story and is an ultra runner himself. He also talks about how he came up with the formula and how he has approached sponsoring some of the bigger names in the ultra running space. You can find his flagship product here: https://www.hyperlyteliquidperformance.com/ You can also find the brand on instagram under the same name. I really enjoyed this one and I hope you do too! There are many reasons why your gut may be acting up during a race, but the number one reason could be because of a imbalance of osmolarity or osmolality. There is a delicate balancing act constantly going on between your gut and blood stream to make sure there is enough fluid, concentrate, and the right pH. While we are out during a race, this balancing act becomes a bit more complicated as we are doing our best to replace carbs and electrolytes lost to keep up with energy demands.
