On this episode of Crazy Wisdom, Stewart Alsop talks with Larry Diamond, co-founder of Healing with the Diamonds, about his journey from severe metabolic illness to vibrant health and his work helping others do the same. They explore topics like heart-brain coherence, the alchemical journey, insulin resistance, seed oils, and the deeper spiritual dimensions of healing, weaving in references to David Hawkins, Rupert Sheldrake, and the lost wisdom of the divine feminine. Larry shares insights on metabolic testing, ancestral eating, and the importance of authentic living, while also touching on the role of parasites—his term for the forces keeping humanity in fear and incoherence. You can find more about Larry and his work, as well as access his consulting, at healingwiththediamonds.com, on Instagram and Facebook at Healing with the Diamonds, or listen in iTunes to his upcoming podcast.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:00 Stewart Alsop introduces Larry Diamond of Healing with the Diamonds; they discuss his healing journey, health coaching, and the meaning of heart-brain coherence.05:00 Alchemical journey, crystals, the hero's journey, integrating masculine and feminine energies, and the idea of parasites feeding on fear.10:00 Kindness vs niceness, morphic fields, Rupert Sheldrake's theories, and quantum entanglement as evidence of interconnectedness.15:00 Scientism vs true science, metabolic illness, citizen science, Larry's 2013 health transformation.20:00 Metabolic syndrome, C-reactive protein, fasting insulin, insulin resistance, and Larry's weight loss story.25:00 Seed oils, refined carbs, ultra-processed foods, and strategies for restoring metabolic health.30:00 Carb cycling, primal eating, intuitive healing, and ancestral wisdom.35:00 Spirituality beyond religion, Yeshua vs Jesus, divine feminine, and writing your own gospel.40:00 Living authentically, kindness in daily life, and finding healing in sovereignty and connection.Key InsightsLarry Diamond shares how his journey from severe metabolic illness to vibrant health became the foundation for Healing with the Diamonds. He explains how hitting rock bottom in 2013 inspired him to reject mainstream dietary advice and embrace a primal, whole foods approach that reversed his insulin resistance and helped him lose over 100 pounds.A major theme of the conversation is heart-brain coherence, which Larry describes as essential for true wisdom and discernment. He connects this to ancient teachings, referencing Yeshua's “sword of discernment” and suggesting that Western culture intentionally suppressed this knowledge to keep people in fear and mental fragmentation. The episode explores the alchemical journey as a metaphor for inner transformation, likening it to Joseph Campbell's hero's journey. Larry emphasizes integrating masculine and feminine energies and overcoming ego as key steps in remembering our divine nature and embodying authenticity.Larry critiques scientism, which he calls the inversion of true science, and encourages listeners to reclaim citizen science as a path to health sovereignty. He shares practical tools like testing for C-reactive protein, A1C, fasting insulin, and using triglycerides-to-HDL ratios to assess metabolic health. He identifies the “Big Four” dietary culprits—seed oils, refined carbs, ultra-processed foods, and sugar—as drivers of chronic illness and advocates returning to ancestral foods rich in natural fats and nutrients. He stresses that flavor and enjoyment are critical for sustainable healing. On the spiritual side, Larry reframes the Abrahamic religions as distortions of deeper wisdom traditions, contrasting the figure of Yeshua (aligned with love and sovereignty) with the institutionalized Jesus narrative. He highlights the divine feminine, Sophia, as a source of intuition and co-creation with the cosmos. Finally, Larry encourages listeners to “write your own gospel and live your own myth,” seeing authentic, kind, and sovereign living as both a spiritual and practical act of resistance to what he calls the parasite class—forces of fear and manipulation seeking to block human awakening.

Welcome to episode 165 of the Bodybuilding Down Under podcast! This week, we dive deep into one of the most anticipated (and often misunderstood) parts of comp prep: peak week. Whether you're heading into your first show or refining your protocol as a seasoned competitor, this episode is packed with practical insight, real-world experience, and the small details that make a big difference when stage day arrives. Here's what we cover:
Today, we'll discuss how to break bad breakfast habits with 9 healthy breakfast tips!1. Some people drink too much coffee in the morning, but that's not always the problem. Coffee beans are one of the most sprayed crops behind cotton and tobacco. Adding sugar and non-dairy creamer with seed oils worsens the problem. The simple solution is to always choose organic coffee.2. Most orange juice is pasteurized, which destroys the vitamin C. If you're drinking orange juice for breakfast, it's likely that you're just drinking sugar water. 3. Carb-heavy breakfast foods significantly spike blood sugar. Your body produces insulin to lower the spike, causing low blood sugar, leaving you feeling tired after breakfast. Switch to a protein breakfast! Opt for eggs, bacon, cheese, whole-fat yogurt without sugar, steak, or burger patties rather than the typical muffins, pancakes, cereals, etc. 4. Consuming fruit and nuts for breakfast will likely leave you feeling hungry midmorning. This leads to snacking, which raises blood glucose and spikes insulin throughout the day. 5. Peanut butter is often consumed for breakfast, but many contain sugar and hydrogenated oils. Always check the label!6. Avoid cooking with seed oils for breakfast. Opt for healthy cooking oils such as butter, olive oil, coconut oil, or lard. 7. Check the labels on your breakfast meats. There are many hidden sugars in breakfast foods, especially breakfast meats!8. I used to recommend drinking kale shakes with fruit for breakfast, but this is a mistake. A healthy breakfast should always contain high-quality protein. 9. Eating when you're not hungry is the #1 worst breakfast mistake! We're often taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but this isn't true. You're fasting while you sleep, so most people aren't hungry when they wake up. Try pushing your first meal to lunchtime to increase the duration of your fast. This can help you tap into fat-burning, boost weight loss, reverse insulin resistance, improve mood, and decrease appetite. Ok, so the ladies of Wine, Weed, Weird, and their guest are meant to be discussing Donald Duck's Fantastic Island, but between debates about snacks, issues of mistaken Duck identity, and deep discussions on language and cultural appropriation, they didn't really get to that too much. But don't fret! They dig in properly in part 2, coming next week! Enjoy this far-reaching conversation with special guest, Mike from Patty's Pub, and check out his podcast, too! Common Sense and Crisis Mode: July 10 AgNet News Hour with Steve Hilton In today's AgNet News Hour, hosts Nick Papagni and Josh McGill are joined by one of the most vocal candidates in California's upcoming gubernatorial race, Steve Hilton. It's a high-energy episode packed with policy critiques, hard-hitting interviews, and a call to action for California's farming communities. Hilton, a businessman and longtime supporter of agriculture, lays out his vision to revitalize California by reducing regulation, restoring water infrastructure, and protecting farmland from being converted into subsidized solar developments. In his words, “We're not just in a bad place, we're in crisis mode.” And he doesn't shy away from bold ideas. A focal point of the discussion is AB 1156, which allows pauses on the Williamson Act and enables the conversion of ag land to solar farms. Hilton calls it “heartbreaking,” emphasizing that farmland in California, especially the Central Valley, should be used to grow the healthy produce that feeds the nation. He blasts what he terms “climatism” and the “scam” of imported solar infrastructure subsidized by taxpayers and backed by hedge funds. The conversation also tackles practical impacts on everyday farmers: from high diesel costs and unrealistic electric equipment mandates to farm equipment theft linked to cross-border crime. Hilton even proposes legal actions and agency appointments to roll back overreach from agencies like CARB and the State Water Resources Control Board. Nick and Josh push Hilton on what ag needs from its next leader. He responds with a promise: “I will be the biggest champion California farmers have ever had.” Whether it's preserving organic dairies in the north, ensuring water storage projects like Sites Reservoir are completed, or stopping environmental overregulation, Hilton says it's time to lead with common sense.

These days, the health and wellness industry really isn't much better than it was years ago, especially when it comes to the chronically ill getting the help they need for healing. Some aspects have improved, but for the most part it's still the same old sea of confusion out there. Carb-free diets, milk cleanses, meat only diets, extreme water fasting, bone broth cleanses, intermittent fasting, eat-what-you-want diets, trendy supplements filled with natural flavors, or supplements that are just toxic in general...the list goes on and on. It's a wonder how the chronically ill can find their way through it all. And then there's the good ole Oxalate Theory that peaks its ugly head out every five years and torments the people who are already tormented by what ails them. There are a few reasons why oxalate fear is still here and it's the same reasons so many other fads and trends of health are still here: it's marketing, PR campaigns, shock and awe strategies based on fear, and to this day, no one really knows why people are really sick. Just say oxalates are the cause and the fear takes over; it's an easy sell, but it's not the reality. It's still a world of guessing games out there. The health movement keeps reigniting and spreading oxalates over and over again. An unfounded theory that holds people with chronic illness back and places them in a fear-based mentality with food...this is a nightmare. And as far as the influencers and health professionals that keep talking up and spreading oxalate fear, let's just say it's truly sad in so many ways. The truth is almost every food has oxalates in it, including animal protein. The people screaming their heads off about oxalates are picking on a small list of fruits and veggies, and spinach takes the biggest hit. Meanwhile, spinach is a powerful healing leafy green for the chronically ill. In this episode… Discover why oxalate fear is a recycled health trend trap that diverts chronically ill people from effective healing paths. Learn how testing for oxalates is unreliable and lacks accuracy. Find out why the fear of oxalate-rich foods is unnecessary and harmful, and why foods like spinach, celery, and potatoes are demonized. Learn how kidney stones are not caused by oxalates and why that's a flawed theory. Discover the truth about viral infections and how they are the real cause of many chronic illnesses, not oxalates. Find out why the oxalate theory is recycled misinformation and how it resurfaces periodically, misleading new generations of health seekers. Learn how mainstream and alternative health practitioners can unintentionally spread misleading oxalate fears. Even well-meaning doctors and health coaches may unknowingly promote harmful ideas due to lack of experience with chronic illness. Discover how Medical Medium tools (like celery juice and zinc) are real solutions and effective treatments for chronic conditions, as opposed to avoiding oxalates. All this and more, tune in and don't miss out on this important episode. You can revisit this episode anytime you need it. For more information visit www.medicalmedium.com
What happens when the world leaves you behind? "Last Carb on Earth" is a haunting dubstep ballad from the perspective of a forgotten carburetor in a world ruled by electronic fuel injection. This track blends mechanical nostalgia with emotional depth, heavy bass drops, and glitchy rhythms to tell a story of obsolescence, identity, and horsepower long past.

1. Lack of sleep You could feel exhausted all the time simply because you lack sleep. Alcohol, overtraining, and eating too late can interfere with sleep. Chocolate consumption can increase theobromine, similar to caffeine, which can interfere with sleep if consumed too late. Try taking magnesium one hour before bed to help you relax. Vitamin B1 is also vital for quality sleep. Did you know that going outside in the morning to watch the sunrise can improve your sleep? Try it!2. Cellular hypothyroidismThyroid hormones go into every cell in your body, controlling metabolism and energy levels. If your thyroid is not working properly, you will likely experience fatigue. Increase selenium to improve thyroid function. Brazil nuts, sardines, shellfish, and grass-fed liver are excellent sources of selenium.3. StressA severe stress, such as the loss of a loved one, can cause your immune system to shut down because of the cortisol spike. This allows latent viruses like the Epstein-Barr virus to come out of remission and cause chronic fatigue syndrome. High doses of vitamin D can help.Try making your own L. reuteri yogurt, one of the best remedies for high cortisol. Increasing magnesium and sodium and taking long walks in the woods can also reduce cortisol levels. 4. Histamine overload An enzyme in your body naturally breaks down histamine. Alcohol, medications, and gut damage can inhibit this enzyme's function, increasing histamine levels. Avoid aged cheeses, vinegar, canned fish, and fermented vegetables if you suspect a histamine sensitivity. 5. Blood sugarConsuming high amounts of carbohydrates or sugar during the day often leads to blood sugar fluctuations at night. Frequent night waking decreases energy during the day. Carb consumption depletes vitamin B1, which can cause restless legs syndrome, waking you up.6. Sleep disturbances Sleep apnea and being too hot or too cold can interfere with your sleep. Frequent urination caused by too much snacking or too many carbs can also be the culprit. 7. Protein intake If you're not consuming enough high-quality protein, it could be the reason you're feeling exhausted all the time. Try adding more protein to each meal for a significant improvement in energy. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. youre actually doing the hard yards. youre not always dieting. youre training hard... yet you're not seeing the shape, definition, or energy you know you should be seeing by now.and the worst part? you start questioning yourself. wondering if something's broken. if this is just what happens as you get older.let me be clear.... this isn't just about age either. this is going to be a strategy that can appply to everyone and anyone with an explanation on what matters most... this is about fuel. not just for training. not just for muscle. but for all the in between. and most women—especially in their 40s and 50s—are drastically underfueling the exact systems they're trying to optimize.in this episode, we go deep into the misunderstood role of carbs. not just for performance, but for recovery, hormone support, better sleep, better moods, and the ability to actually look like you train.i walk you through:• why “eating more” didn't work last time—and how to fix it• the difference between gaining fat and holding water (and why that puffy feeling is often a good thing)• what carbs are really doing inside your body (hint: it's not just about gym fuel)• the emotional resistance to carbs after 40—and why it makes sense• how to stop fueling like you're dieting and start eating like you train with intent• why 200g of carbs isn't extreme—it's the baseline for most active womenwe'll also talk about how things do shift as you age—but not in the way you've been told. you don't need to slow down. you need to support your body better. carbs aren't the reason you feel bloated, fluffy, or frustrated. they're the key to changing that.if you've ever said, “i can't eat like i used to,” this one's for you. because maybe the problem isn't that you're eating more—it's that you're still underfueling in all the wrong ways.and the biggest gains come from the moments we stop repeating old tactics that never worked for the body we have now.this isn't about a bulk. it's about building something stronger.because the women i work with don't want to be smaller. they want to be solid. powerful. defined.and that starts with your food actually doing something for you.
Mark Schremmer and Tyson Fisher of Land Line Magazine join the show with an update on the driverless/non-driverless Aurora situation. A recent truck show got OOIDA tour truck driver Marty Ellis thinking about that film. 0:00 – Newscast 10:05 – Project has a chance to save lives 24:32 – Driverless trucks pull back from being driverless 39:32 – Event harkens back to classic trucking movie

Our favorite episodes are these Q+As where we answer listener questions on all of the hottest topics! It's called a "No Secrets" Q+A because we try to take you behind the curtain, speculating about ideas that might not be talked about in public very often. Let's get spicy! The main topic was Cam Wurf's reported 200 grams of carbs per hour at Ironman Texas to set a bike split record. These extreme carb totals are starting to become more prevalent in triathlon. Do we think they're here to stay? Surprisingly, we have doubts. Forgive us, carb daddy, for we have sinned. And there were so many great topics! Other topics: heat suit long runs, race week thoughts, our new favorite recovery product, our initial thoughts on the Nix hydration biosensor, high carb and GI concerns, minimum dose heat training, AI titles, sodium intake during training and racing, kids and hydration, track and speed training for ultras, 2nd opinions in medical settings, working through low motivation and mental health struggles, structuring training camps, and more.May your quails be peaceful and your critics get a minor case of plantar fasciitis.
