Ela is back after an intense week of hiking in the Swiss/Italian Alps. This is something she does every year. As an escape, and as a challenge.  This annual event is Ela’s favorite week of her year. It allows her to go back to the basics. Carrying all she needs on her back and living very simply. It is mentally and physically challenging. And yet it is a conscious choice to take this on. There are many lessons to be learnt in pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone. But one major lesson Ela always takes away from this is that nothing is permanent. No matter how tired, hungry, sad, fed up we are. If we can remind ourselves it is only temporary, it makes it much easier to deal with and get through.  Are you the type of person who chooses to step out of your comfort zone to be challenged?
