Want to be a guest or know someone would be a great fit? I am looking for military vets, active duty, military brats, veteran service orgs or anyone in the fitness industryWhat happens when life strips away your identity? At age 50, Jennifer Arthurton found herself divorced after 22 years, an empty nester, unemployed from her corporate executive role, and battling a stress-induced illness—all at once. This perfect storm became the catalyst for a profound transformation and the birth of her platform, Old Chicks Know Shit.During our heartfelt conversation, Jennifer reveals how she navigated this identity crisis when every role she'd used to define herself suddenly vanished. "If I'm not a wife, if I'm not a mother, if I'm not a corporate executive, then who am I?" This question resonates deeply with many women who've prioritized others while disconnecting from their authentic selves. We explore how women unconsciously minimize our accomplishments and diminish our power through self-deprecating language and thought patterns. Jennifer shares the liberating experience of challenging limiting beliefs—including how she overcame a forty-year belief that she "wasn't a good writer" based on childhood criticism about her handwriting. This breakthrough eventually led to creating her transformative platform. The journey through midlife reinvention requires emotional release and surrender. Jennifer describes a powerful meditation experience where suppressed emotions emerged as uncontrollable tears, creating necessary space for healing and self-discovery. For a self-described "type A" personality, letting go of control became her greatest gift, opening doors to possibilities she couldn't have planned. For women feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, Jennifer offers practical wisdom: take the tiniest possible steps forward, challenge negative thought patterns by questioning their validity, and most importantly, create quiet time to listen to your inner voice. "Whatever question you're struggling with right now, you already have the answer. It's in there."Ready to reclaim your power and discover what's possible in life's second act? This conversation will remind you that you already have everything you need—your accumulated wisdom, strength, and life experience have perfectly prepared you for what comes next.Support the show

Holy Waiting: Finding Purpose in Life's Pauses

Between resurrection and Pentecost lies a crucial season that transformed ordinary followers into world-changers. This waiting period wasn't wasted—it was precisely where God prepared His people for an unprecedented mission. The disciples found themselves in limbo. Their Rabbi had conquered death, yet confusion lingered. What comes next? When would Israel be restored? Rather than offering clear timelines, Jesus redirected their focus: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you." Before they could go change the world, they needed to wait. This pattern reveals a profound truth for our spiritual journeys today. When we find ourselves in waiting seasons—seeking healing, clarity, or breakthrough—we're not being punished. These periods confirm what's true and prepare us for what's coming. The disciples craved certainty just as we do, but Jesus knew they needed something more fundamental: supernatural power from above. What made the early church extraordinary wasn't superior information or organizational structure. They changed the world because they were immersed in God's presence and empowered for His mission. Jesus didn't want followers who merely believed the right facts about Him—He wanted disciples filled with the same Spirit that raised Him from the dead.Throughout Christian history, believers have emphasized different aspects of the Spirit's work—producing holiness, enabling spiritual gifts, or empowering service. The beauty of Acts is that it embraces all these dimensions. The Spirit-filled life isn't a "special deluxe edition" of faith but essential for every believer who wants to experience the fullness of what God offers. Are you trying to navigate life's challenges through human effort alone? Have you settled for knowing about God without experiencing His transforming presence? Join us as we explore what happens when ordinary people surrender to divine power and discover that waiting seasons often become the launching pad for God's greatest work in and through us.Support the showIf you enjoyed this episode, consider subscribing to Madison Church on your favorite podcast platform. In this powerful episode, we're joined by Kevin Lowe, an inspirational speaker and podcast host who shares his remarkable journey of losing his sight at 17 and discovering an entirely new way to "see" the world. Through launching his own travel agency, creating a podcast during the pandemic, learning how to 'see' through sound and now inspiring others through speaking, Kevin exemplifies resilience in its purest form. His personal equation—"faith plus family equals a life worth living"—reminds us all to identify what gives our lives meaning, especially during our darkest moments. Kevin's story isn't just about overcoming blindness—it's about transforming limitation into possibility and finding purpose in pain. As he puts it, "Through the vulnerability of the brain that I became blind, but it's also through the power of the brain that I learned to see again." Are you truly living in alignment with your soul's purpose, or have you been following a path shaped by fear, societal conditioning, and external expectations? In this episode of Pandora's Box, we dive deep into The Soul Path—what it means to walk your true, authentic journey and why doing so is the key to abundance, success, health, and happiness. We explore: ✨ The difference between the ego's voice (the Black Wolf) and the soul's voice (the White Wolf) ✨ How early conditioning leads us away from our true calling ✨ Why life crises—such as loss, illness, or emotional turmoil—often serve as wake-up calls ✨ The different stages of soul awakening and how to break free from societal programming ✨ The biggest regrets of the dying and how to ensure you live a purpose-filled life Most people never take the time to uncover who they truly are, waiting until it's too late to realize they were living for someone else's expectations. But you don't have to be one of them. If you're feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or questioning whether you're on the right path, this episode will challenge you to look deeper and take the first steps toward true alignment. Are you ready to explore your soul's purpose?

Power can be rapidly stripped away from individuals, or it can be taken away layer by layer. Not everyone makes it out of a cult, but life can become particularly meaningful when they do. A new purpose can arise for the person, more substantial than the grasp of mind control. Leaving an authoritarian cult is the experience that Dr. Debbie Haski-Leventhal, PhD, shared with us on this episode of Cult Conversations: The Influence Continuum. She found this meaning after a period of healing and self-exploration when she left the Kabbalah Centre. Her parents brought her into it when she was only five years old. She devoted her life to it as a chevre (hand-picked servants of Philip and Karen Berg, its leaders). She was able to escape by age nineteen. Debbie currently describes her role as “a professor of purpose and impact”, working with individuals and companies to make lives more meaningful. She crafted her book after decades of exploring what pro-social and satisfying behaviors bring to life. Her book is both inspirational and practical, laying out pointers from the model she developed. She believes strongly in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and works with business leaders to better utilize their human resources into meaning on both an individual and group basis. I must say, I loved this book, listened to it as an audiobook, and then bought it as a paperback and read it. It is a must-read book, in my opinion, for all survivors of mind control cults. It is an inspiration! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome to the Personal Development Trailblazers Podcast! In today's episode, we'll uncover your true purpose and create a life filled with meaning.Yosi Gal grew up in a deeply spiritual household that emphasized values and ethics as central to life. While this foundation was appreciated, there was a sense of disconnection from institutionalized beliefs. As the journey of self-exploration began, it led to travels around the world, exposing Yosi to diverse cultures and spiritual practices. This journey brought many challenges but also invaluable lessons—learning to trust intuition, navigate uncertainty, and embrace change even when it felt overwhelming. It fostered a reconnection with what truly matters and a deeper understanding of how to create a life guided by intention and purpose.Over time, Yosi realized that the deepest fulfillment comes from helping others do the same. Whether through listening, offering guidance, or creating a supportive space for reflection, there was a natural draw toward helping people reclaim their sense of direction and rediscover what brings meaning to their lives. This inspiration led to the creation of a coaching practice, where Yosi helps individuals take ownership of their lives and navigate moments of transformation with clarity and confidence. Having experienced the feeling of being stuck or overwhelmed, unsure of how to move forward, Yosi understands firsthand how empowering it is to regain control and reconnect with purpose.Yosi's approach is grounded in experience and empathy. By sharing insights, introducing practical tools, and helping clients shift their perspective, the goal is to guide them through a process of self-discovery and growth.
