Welcome to our brand new podcast - Showing Up !! A podcast for us to start showing up for ourselves by setting ourselves better habits!!! We are your hosts Babs and I'm Eve. And we are here to give ourselves and you a challenge… to start showing up for yourself and get your life where you want it to be! That's right, we are here to make sure you don't give up on yourself and on who you want to become in this lifetime, because for all we know it might be the only one you/we have. Babs and I met back in 2015 at university, where we lived together for 2 years. Since then we've been geographically apart as I'm located in The Midlands in England, and Babs is currently (at the time of recording) in Rio, Brazil. We know the ins and outs of each other's lives, and we've always joked about making a club to encourage each other to try new things, we've just never committed to it but... Call it the pandemic, call it spending too much time indoors... whatever the reason we've decided this is the year to get our lives together and start showing up for ourselves! And from this headspace we've decided to create this podcast, for it to serve as accountability for us both in our pursuit of better habits, but also for you to get motivated to show up for yourself too. So join us, this podcast will show you that if we can do it, trust us, you can do it too! So how is this podcast series going to work? Every 30 days we will be setting ourselves a challenge. It could be anything from, drawing everyday to working out everyday, to staying off social media for the month. Each week we will be checking in with you, giving you the lowdown on how we've been getting on before we do a final debrief at the end of the 30 days to ask ourselves, would we do it again? Each week, alongside this, we will be chatting about what we've been watching, listening to, and reading. We'll also be talking about the stories of the week and exploring our thoughts and opinions and Twice a month, we will be discussing a larger topic that we're interested in, and that we think you would be too. This could cover politics, history, climate, entertainment, or social issues. Showing up for yourself isn't just about looking inward, we want to be showing up for the wider world too. We'll also be doing the occasional smaller weekly challenge, to keep ourselves motivated and to try more new things. So join us in this podcast and So let's challenge ourself to show up this year. Let's do this!!! Music - Funky Garden by Ketsa. FreeMusicLibrary.org
