And while their influence has diminished over the past decade, their hold on our adolescent brains has lasted a lifetime which is why today's episode is a super-special ranking of Rachelle and Candice's favorite British YouTubers. This episode is a little piece of my heart. I couldn't help but feel complete rage when I saw the front page headlines that Zoe Sugg and her brand Zoella is being 'cancelled' from a school curriculum (she didn't even know she was in) for having an article on her website recommending women's sex toys. Women have been made to feel shame about owning their sensuality for years and it needs to stop. We are not supposed to be so disconnected from a huge part of who we are, from an innate part of our soul and femininity. The pain it causes in so many women as they grow up confused, not feeling connected to that part of themselves, not understanding where they are at with their own boundaries and who they want to be, is too much. It's unnecessary and the story needs to change. We need to empower all the women in the world now, and all the women to come after us - we owe it to ourselves and them! This episode is not a victim mode rant, it's an open and honest discussion about an ancient, archaic narrative in our society that needs to be stopped. I discuss how we can be the change we need and why I am optimistic for the progress of this in the future.@megan_rose_lane@thisisamyrushworth@iammelwells@emmatamsinhill@jess_megan_Shop our brand new set of meditations!Get 10% off your first month of therapy with Better Help betterhelp.com/findingyourfeetBuy us a coffee buymeacoffee.com/findingyourfeetShop positive affirmationsSubscribe to our Youtube ChannelSign up to receive a positive Monday morning email from us once a weekJoin our community on instagram: @findingyourfeetpodcast

My guest today is the brilliant Zoe Sugg: author, entrepreneur, content creator and business owner.Zoe was one of my first ever guests back when I started this podcast in 2016, so I thought it would be really fun to invite her back on to talk all about what she's been up to in that time (aka a lot!). In this episode we talk about life in lockdown, her journey with anxiety, her mental health digital detox campaign with Lush and I Am Whole, why she decided to separate her Zoe Sugg and Zoella channels on social media, how to run a business, how to switch off and how to structure your day when you're working on multiple things. Plus her new YA book series The Magpie Society which is out in October. We had lots to talk about and I hope you enjoy this one!And why not join in Zoe's Digital Detox day! The campaign raises awareness about the negative impact social media can have on our mental health, and helps people to form healthier relationships with their devices. Digital Detox Day will take place in over ten countries worldwide on 5th September, when they will be inviting people to step away from their phones for one whole day. Together with LUSH, Zoe has created a bespoke Digital Detox Day bath bomb, raising vital funds for grassroots mental health charities. Why not join in and switch off, on 5th September!

He starred in the Hit The Road films with his roommate and best friend Caspar Lee which went on to tour the UK and Australia as a live show. He launched a successful merchandise line, Sugg Life, with his sister, Zoe Sugg aka Zoella And most recently he became runner up of 2018's Strictly Come Dancing, the ultimate entertainment show on television. In this episode we talk to Joe about what being a creator means to him and how he’s been able to build his childhood dreams into a reality and an incredibly successful career, as one of the early adopters of YouTube.instagram.com/bbcstudiostalentworksinstagram.com/joe_suggTalentWorks is a content label within BBC Studios aimed at identifying digital talent with whom it can partner. Imagine two women sat on two chairs surrounded by a whole lot of excess material draped around us, having a good old chuckle and you'll have a good idea of what the recording of this episode looked like behind the scenes (we tried to make a makeshift recording studio but it didn't quite go to plan..!). Anyway (!), this week, I chat to the one and only Heidi May, the 32 year old Founder of Aesthetic Laundry - the confidence boosting clothing brand, renowned for its rainbow tassled jumpers and tracksuits that has been championed by the likes of Zoe Sugg and Fearne Cotton and encourages everyone to feel comfortable and empowered being exactly who they are. From ongoing challenges with her mental health; the run in with appendicitis that left her bed bound at her busiest time of the year last December; the challenges that present themselves when her creative streak refuses to cooperate with the day-to-day realities and admin involved in running a business; to the steps she’s taken to scale Aesthetic Laundry going forward; Heidi is one of the most positive, kind-hearted souls you could ever wish to meet and fortunately for us, she opens up about the ins and outs of the exhaustive yet immensely rewarding journey that she’s been on so far... She can. She did. is hosted by me, Fiona Grayson (hello!) and is sponsored by xero.com For a free one-month trial on Xero followed by 50% off for the next six months, please feel free to use the code, 'SCSD50' going forward! Alles in ons leven moet snel, snel, snel.

Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella, is an internet sensation, racking up over a billion YouTube views, with 12 million subscribers, and a further 10 million on Instagram and 13 million on twitter. Her fans are famously loyal - and they recognise Zoe wherever she goes.In this episode of Beauty Full Lives, I was keen to discuss the human element of living with the enormous fame and scrutiny that comes with being the most famous girl online (which, but the way, happens to be the title of Zoe's bestselling book).Zoe was a good sport and obliged me, touching on some of the more normal elements of her life, from finding QVC a bit addictive, to putting up Christmas Trees while listening to Shakin' Stevens, and choosing a bath over wine to wind down. But we also chat about the less usual elements of Zoe's life, too, including her stint of singing with Ed Sheeran, balancing having a huge profile with being a woman who struggles with anxiety, and how said panic ramped up a notch when her career exploded. We, of course, also talk about Zoe's childhood and the products and famous people she remembers from along the way (hair mascara comes up, as does Rachel Stevens) - and Zoe discusses her episode of adult acne and how she beat it, along with detailing her favourite products today. Products Zoe mentions include:- Barry M Holographic Glitter Dust - Barry M Green Glitter - bareMinerals Original Foundation - Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo- Tata Harper Regenerative Moisturiser- Zoella Planner - - Zoella Hot Chocolate Candle- Zoella Wish Upon A Spa- Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - Korean Sheet Masks- Amika Dry Shampoo - NuMe Classic Curling TongBeauty Full Lives is hosted by Madeleine Spencer, produced by Charlie Jones, and with artwork by Sung Lee. They work together to figure out how to push past their fears of sharing their stories. “I’ve been diving into this more personal publishing. It is introspective. It is diving deep and kind of uncovering all the parts of me that I might not think are all that important or story-worthy, but there’s always another person that connects to those stories, and says, ‘oh, me too. I’d love to share this. I’d love to share this with other people.’” Also featuring special guest Zoe Sugg (zuzucartoons.com), the founder of They Have Issues.
