Why You're Still Stuck: Masculine & Feminine Energy, Inner Child Healing & Sovereignty After Betrayal “You might not like your choices—but you do have them. You are an adult. And that means you have power.” In this powerful, soul-level conversation, Lora goes deep into why healing doesn't work for so many women—even when they're doing all the therapy, reading, journaling, and emotional work. And the answer? It's not about trying harder. It's about energy balance, integration, and inner sovereignty. Start Here – A Quick Note About This Episode This is a deeper episode—a masterclass-style conversation that weaves together multiple advanced healing concepts: Masculine vs. feminine energy integration Inner child vs. adult self Partner polarity and healing dynamics Structure vs. surrender in recovery If one part hits you harder than another, trust that. Healing is layered. You might come back and re-listen again and again as you grow. Let this episode meet you exactly where you are. Top 3 Takeaways: Energy is Everything: You can't heal without a balance of masculine (structure, leadership) and feminine (emotion, flow) energies—within yourself and your relationship. You Are Not a Child Anymore: Learning to separate your adult self from your wounded inner child is how you reclaim your power and end the fear of abandonment. Healing Is Not Linear—It's Energetic, Emotional, and Embodied: If you've been stuck in your head or in endless tears, it's time to realign and embody the opposite energy to create balance and momentum. This Episode Is for You If: You feel like you've “done everything right” in your healing journey, but still feel stuck You're overwhelmed with emotion or paralyzed by logic—and don't know how to move forward You want to understand the deep emotional and energetic dynamics between you and your partner You're ready to integrate your inner child, reclaim your adult power, and rise Ready to create your own Hot Girl Summer? In this episode, Steve Fretzin and Adam Ouellette discuss:The long-term impact of unmanaged stress in the legal professionShifting from reactive to responsive behavior in work and lifeThe necessity of integrating systems, organization, and delegation in law practicesExploring effective breathing and mindfulness practices for emotional regulation Key Takeaways:Most lawyers suffer from nervous system dysregulation due to chronic stress, which leads to physical symptoms like migraines, arrhythmia, and burnout.Heart-focused breathing, specifically the “Quick Coherence” method, can physiologically shift the body from fight-or-flight into healing mode in just minutes.Using modern legal tech tools like CRMs, automation software, and client management systems can drastically reduce workload and prevent burnout, but most lawyers resist adopting them.Implementing micro-pauses every 50 minutes for breathwork and short breaks can significantly reduce mental fatigue and boost long-term performance. "It's so critical that lawyers start to quiet their mind and regulate their nervous systems, because if you don't, you're gonna hit a wall at some point in your practice, and you're not gonna like it. Why We Self-Sabotage After Betrayal: The Hidden Fear Blocking Your Healing "The only way to show someone your emotional wound is to act wounded." Why do we sabotage our own healing after betrayal? In this episode, Lora Cheadle unpacks the deep fears that keep us stuck in suffering, even when we desperately want to move on. From punishing our partners to protecting ourselves from hope, success, or vulnerability, Lora walks listeners through the unconscious ways we stay small—and how to stop. With raw honesty, personal stories, and expert insight, this episode is your invitation to finally show your healing instead of your pain. TOP 3 TAKEAWAYS: Self-sabotage after betrayal is a subconscious attempt to stay safe, avoid disappointment, and keep the emotional spotlight off ourselves. Many betrayed partners resist healing to "prove a point" or to punish their partner—unconsciously hurting themselves in the process. Healing becomes possible when you commit to feeling good, receiving love, and breaking your own patterns of isolation and protection. Ready to create your own Hot Girl Summer? I'm joined by Krista Williams, co-host of the wildly successful Almost 30 podcast and co-author of the brand-new book Almost 30: A Definitive Guide to a Life You Love for the Next Decade and Beyond. Krista and her co-host Lindsey Simcik created the guide they wished they had during the confusing, transformative transition from their late 20s into their 30s—a time full of cosmic shake-ups, friendship shifts, body image reckoning, and purpose redefinition. This conversation goes deep into the heart of that transition. Krista opens up about how her relationship with her body has evolved after years of being steeped in diet culture and how turning 30 brought her a completely new lens on friendship, self-worth, and intuitive living. We talk about what it means to truly feel safe in your body, how to let go of relationships with compassion, and why growing older can be a deeply spiritual initiation—if you let it be. We explore: The emotional shifts that come with turning 30 Letting go of friendships that no longer align—and the grief that comes with it How to attract relationships that reflect your growth Healing from diet culture and embracing a softer, intuitive approach to wellness Rebuilding a sense of safety in your body after years of disconnection Self-worth, control, and learning to trust your body again Creating identity outside of old stories, labels, or roles Why the Saturn Return is more than an astrology trend—it's a spiritual doorway Whether you're navigating a friendship breakup, trying to heal your relationship with food, or simply wondering who you're becoming—this episode will meet you exactly where you are. Have you ever felt like you're doing all the right things—posting consistently, grinding day in and day out, hustling hard—but still not getting the traction you hoped for? Maybe you've thought about starting a podcast or launching a business, but the road ahead feels foggy, full of risk, and just plain overwhelming. If you're nodding your head, then this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast is about to be your new favorite listen. In this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Travis Chappell—a seasoned entrepreneur, top-ranked podcaster, and founder and CEO of Guestio, a platform that helps podcasters and content creators book high-level guests easily. Travis has built a name for himself in the podcasting space, and now he's making bold moves into brick-and-mortar businesses. What's interesting is that instead of chasing flashy, high-risk startups, Travis is leaning into stable, “boring” business models—and turning them into serious cash machines. Yeah, we're talking laundromats, self-storage, and other “unsexy” businesses that work.We covered a lot of ground in this convo—from the current state of podcasting to monetization strategies, to AI's impact on the workforce, to navigating the challenges of fatherhood and entrepreneurship. Travis doesn't sugarcoat anything. He talks about the reality of building a podcast and why consistency alone isn't enough. He opens up about his journey, including the lessons learned from his time building Guestio, and why he decided to pivot toward more predictable businesses. One major theme that stood out in our chat is that podcasting is still in its infancy. Despite the growth we've seen in recent years, there's still room to make a mark—if you're willing to commit. Travis and I agreed: consistency is just the entry fee. You've got to commit to getting better over time, treating your show like a business, and playing the long game. Travis shared that when he started, he made a non-negotiable commitment to release three interviews per week for two years—no questions asked. That level of dedication is what separates the dabblers from the doers. When it comes to monetizing your podcast, Travis simplified it in a way that cuts through all the noise. There are only two ways: sell your stuff, or sell someone else's. Whether it's your products, courses, services—or affiliate offers and sponsorships—you have to get clear on which direction you're headed. Stop waiting for downloads to magically turn into dollars. Build an offer, create value, and promote it intentionally. But perhaps the most refreshing part of our conversation was Travis's take on where real business opportunity lies today. We're in a world obsessed with innovation, yet Travis is proving that tried-and-true models are often the fastest way to freedom. Think about it: buying a small business with steady cash flow, minimal competition, and low bankruptcy rates? That's a way smarter play than risking everything on a flashy startup. And with tools like AI entering the scene, you can now make those traditional businesses even more efficient. Automate the boring stuff. Lower your costs. Increase margins. Scale smart. We also got real about personal life—especially the pressure to “do it all.” As dads and entrepreneurs, it's easy to feel guilty. Guilty when you're working and not with your kids. Guilty when you're home and not grinding. But as Travis shared so powerfully: wherever you are, be there. If you're with your family, be fully present. Don't be glued to your phone. And if you're working, be focused without regret. Balance isn't about perfect harmony—it's about intentionality and owning your cycles of focus. So if you've been on the fence about starting a podcast, launching a new venture, or rethinking how you spend your time, this episode is a must-listen. Travis delivers practical wisdom, honest advice, and a refreshing perspective that'll challenge how you view success. In this episode, we cover:The State of Podcasting: Is It Too Late to Start?Common Mistakes New Podcasters MakeMonetizing Your Podcast: Strategies and InsightsThe Value of Podcasting Beyond MonetizationGuestio: The Journey and Lessons LearnedTransitioning from Tech to Brick and Mortar BusinessesAdvice for Young Entrepreneurs: Starting SmartThe Importance of Timing in Selling a BusinessFinal Thoughts and Reflections on EntrepreneurshipIdentifying Opportunities in Boring BusinessesThe Role of Technology in Business InnovationThe Impact of AI on IndustriesNavigating Fatherhood and EntrepreneurshipThe Essence of Happy HustlingWhat does happy Hustlin mean to you? Travis says it's not putting off happiness for some elusive future date in the guise of pursuing status now. think, I think just too many people think that it's like, well, I'll worry about happiness once I'm done with this thing. Or once I, once I have 10 million in the bank, then I'll worry about happiness. And it's like, well, that's not exactly how happiness is.Connect with Travishttps://www.instagram.com/travischappell/https://www.linkedin.com/in/travischappell/https://twitter.com/traviscchappellhttps://www.facebook.com/traviscchappellhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0ex2Vz6Jj9cTSiHy7KTICAFind Travis on this website: https://travischappell.com/Connect with Cary!https://www.instagram.com/caryjack/https://www.facebook.com/SirCaryJackhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/cary-jack-kendzior/https://twitter.com/thehappyhustlehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFDNsD59tLxv2JfEuSsNMOQ/featured Get a free copy of his new book, The Happy Hustle, 10 Alignments to Avoid Burnout & Achieve Blissful Balance https://www.thehappyhustle.com/bookSign up for The Journey: 10 Days To Become a Happy Hustler Online Coursehttps://thehappyhustle.com/thejourney/Apply to the Montana Mastermind Epic Camping Adventurehttps://thehappyhustle.com/mastermind/“It's time to Happy Hustle, a blissfully balanced life you love, full of passion, purpose, and positive impact!”Episode Sponsors:If you're feeling stressed, not sleeping great, or your energy's been kinda meh lately—let me put you on to something that's been a total game-changer for me: Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. But that's not all, we're going to talk about the duality of loneliness and healing, self-love and how to find the right balance between just enough and feeling like it's never enough, and, if you're dating the mens, but kind of can't stand them either, we'll hear how to begin reframing relationships with men. What began as a discussion on whether our work must really be so important ultimately came to our need to know ourselves and what really fulfills us individually. And while yes, having meaningful work is profound to the joy of our lives, it's also not meant to be the end all to our purpose and calling, but a tool. For this conversation I brought on Dan Miller, celebrated career leader and author of the classic tome on work, 48 Days To The Work & Life You Love. And also, my father. He passed away suddenly in January of 2024 and his work continues to inspire so many lives. We had a conversation at a high, and deep level, regarding how we all perceive the value and importance of our work. I wanted to speak specifically to those who may be feeling stress and anxiety about finding the ultimate work opportunity. The “holy grail” and culmination of their life's purpose and calling. That can be so daunting and in this episode I feel we did justice in taking some of the pressure off the work and putting the impetus on us having a bigger view of our overall life focus. Connection, both with others and with oneself, really is the answer to so many of life's woes. We know that investing in our relationships helps us become happier, healthier, and more fulfilled. Dr. Adam Dorsay, author of the book Super Psyched: Unleash the Power of the 4 Types of Connection and Live the Life You Love, walks us through this straightforward but vital idea in this episode: that the antidote to the uniquely modern angst so much of us experience today is connection. Sounds simple, right? Well, not always, when there are so many pulls on our attention and shiny goals to strive towards. Dr. Alexandra talks with Dr. Adam about how connection isn't just about spending time with others, but so much more than that—an emotional state of aliveness and vitality. Dr. Adam Dorsay is a licensed psychologist and executive coach in Silicon Valley, where he works with high-achieving adults. He is also a resiliency expert and co-creator of an international program for Facebook's Online Safety employees. In this episode, you'll learn why so many high-achieving folks feel unfulfilled, even when they seem to have everything at their fingertips. You'll also get pointers from Dr. Alexandra and Dr. Adam about how to prioritize connection in your life, which will lead to more happiness, stability, and gratitude.
