Good morning, good afternoon, and good night. I'm Joel Thielke, your host of Sleep stories and meditation. Growing up in Seattle, Washington, we get a lot of rain. It's a sound I know very well. Growing up, my parents had an old metal travel trailer in our driveway. I would sneak into the top bunk of the trailer on stormy nights. I would get into that top bunk and listen to the rain patter down the roof. That sound would ignite my imagination. I would visualize being in a far away place on a grand adventure. Soon, I would drift off. The next thing I knew, my mom woke me in the morning, shaking her head. Not panicked, she just knew where to find me after heavy rain.I recorded this rain near my other home in the mountains about an hour and a half out of Seattle, Washington. Sometimes I find a sound that is just perfect. I was headed home in my Motor home. I turned on my recording equipment and hopped on the top bunk; Rain has always been comforting to me. This episode is about dating with confidence. Dating can be tricky. Dating with anxiety? That's even worse.Do you feel like your dating life is one big disaster, and you're the only one who can't get it right? Dating can be a daunting task for anyone. Still, when you have anxiety or low confidence, that makes things more complicated. It can get confusing and a little daunting to figure out what dating app to use or find the right person. I get it. I've been there. That is why hypnosis trains the subconscious mind to recognize the negative self-talk and replace it with positive beliefs. When you find yourself thinking something like, "you're not good enough," remember that this is just a limiting belief that isn't serving you. Your past does not define who you are in the present, and it most certainly does not determine who you are in the future. So it's essential to focus on your strengths. You can also recall and re-experience times when you felt empowered by something you did or action you took that built that confidence. I also guide you to experience those powerful moments during the hypnosis program, along with deep hypnotic suggestions that will trigger radiant confidence on demand.Dating doesn't have to be scary or like grinding fingernails on a chalkboard. If one does not work out, think of it as practice for the next one. There is no failure, just feedback. So use that feedback to make every dating experience enjoyable. But also know when the person is not suitable for and move on. The past should not be dictating how your life goes in the future. So have fun and let yourself find the relationship of your dreams.
