Personally, I've felt disconnected with my authentic voice and gifts, and just in the last 6 months have really started to shed the EGO (or what I call the Itty-bitty-Shitty-Committee) with the help of other teachers and finally blasted of my armor in Bali!

Malas are stains and impurities over our hearts, minds and bodies that limit our lives to being defined by our feelings, thoughts and actions. Anavamala is the stain over our heart that keeps us defined by “I am my feelings” Mayiyamala – Connected to the Mind. “I know”, thoughts, mind. Like the saying “I think, therefore I am” however who are you when you're not thinking? Do you exist? This stain or impurity over the mind distorts the perception of difference oneself and other, oneself and the Divine, oneself and Pure Consciousness. It is said to be knowledge that is impure or distorted through a stain of thoughts that lead to prejudice as there is a perception of separateness or inability to see unity. This encourages thought that draw us into compare and despair, perception of abandonment, being disconnected and alone as an individual being amongst others and source. There is a lot of being conditioned to think by our families, culture and religion. Humans are programmed to be tribal to survive. This gives rise to racism, sexism, classism, ageism and other ways we perceive difference and feel threatened by it. There is an analogy of a continent with many mountains, most of these mountains are under water, however a few pop out and above the water, the peaks are perceived as islands. If you never looked below the surface of the water you would never think they would be connected. Mayiyamala is a bit like this. We think everyone is different, unrelated or independent of each other. We point the finger and judge others, feeling envy, jealousy and anger. However, as the saying goes when you point a finger, there are always three fingers pointing back at you. This ability to take ones own inventory, to self-reflect and see themselves in other's shoes, that we are no better or different under the circumstances. The saying that we are Spiritual Beings having a Human experience and that we are Human Beings having a Spiritual experience. Our practice is to analyse our thoughts, beliefs and judgements. Am I my thoughts? What am I? How do I define myself? Label myself? How is my investment in my own island keeping me separate from others? Do I think my island is better or less than the others that are around me? Can I see fundamentally all individual islands are the same, as you look at what everything is built on and underneath we all are interconnected. Who are you when you are not trying to be somebody? Wisdom 1: 1-7; Rs psalm 139: 1-3.4-6.7-8.9-10; Luke 17: 1-6 WE CAN AVOID SCANDALS   Our meditation today has the theme: We Can Avoid Scandals. There are two powers that influence our lives. The Book of Wisdom shows the power of God that seeks those who obey Him, and the power of the evil one that blocks the path of that Wisdom. Meanwhile, the Gospel of Luke points to the temptations that lead us into sin; and the power of faith to encourage us to love God and our neighbours.   In principle, if we side with God's wisdom or the power of faith, the outcome would be that we are able to avoid scandalous acts. The Greek word for temptation is scandalon, which we now understand as scandal. The original meaning of scandal is a trap or stumbling block that causes other people to get trapped and fall. The scriptures on many occasions remind us of the traps or deception that lead people away from their God and plunge them into sin. Psalm 141.9 says: Deliver me from the snare they have laid to trap me, and from the deceit of the wicked. Similarly, the first Epistle of John says: Whoever loves his brother or sister lives in the light, for that person there is no stumbling block.   Thinking and contemplating about committing a scandal, our main challenge and task should be on our confidence that we must be able to avoid scandals. Jesus has firmly said that his followers must not cause any of the weak among us to fall into sin. Those who are classified as weak are simple people, sick, children and young people, poor, those without influence or who are not taken into account. Their lives are already difficult physically, mentally and spiritually, so it shouldn't be made even more difficult. Those who make things difficult for them and create scandals are the ones who have power, who are smart and clever, who have position, who have wealth and influence. If you feel like you are part of this category, try to avoid the scandal.   Here we can suggest one way to avoid scandalous actions, namely not showing a bad or evil example, which could ultimately lead other people to fall into sin. Priests or religious persons cause scandals because, for example, they talk dirty things in front of the people. Parents become scandalous because they fight and their children see it themselves. The teacher is lazy among his students. A brother steals while his younger siblings are watching. And there are many more examples, where those who commit scandals are those who should be examples or role models of goodness and truth.   Let's learn to avoid scandalous actions by setting a good, correct and appropriate example.   Let's pray. In the name of the Father... Our Almighty Father, may we open ourselves sincerely to Your Spirit, so that we will always be renewed and in the future we will help renew this world from all forms of scandal. Wie fülle ich das Arbeitsblatt richtig aus? Wie kannn ich es schaffen, dass nicht jeder Punkt auf dem Arbeitsblatt für The Work gleich klingt? Welche Rolle spielen die Gefühle beim Ausfüllen des Arbeitsblattes? Das Arbeitsblatt: Urteile über deinen Nächsten - von Byron Katie entwickelt - findest du verlinkt als Download. Du kannst es dir ausdrucken und mit einem Stift ausfüllen oder direkt am PC ausfüllen Ein Arbeitsblatt auszufüllen benötigt als erste Zutat: Stille. Nur in der Stille kannst du deine Gedanken hören. Deswegen ist auch das Ausfüllen eines Arbeitsblattes für The Work Meditation. Du fokussierst dich dabei auf einen Moment in der Zeit. Dieser Moment in der Zeit ist nichts weiter als eine als schmerzhaft oder stressvoll erlebte Situation mit einer anderen Person oder mit dir selbst. Deine Gedanken kreisen um diese Situation, manchmal nächtelang. Werd also still und schreib authetisch auf, was du hörst. Ich führe dich in diesem Podcast Schritt für Schritt durch jeden Punkt auf dem Arbeitsblatt, so dass du einfach nur zu folgen brauchst. Zwischendurch kannst du jederzeit auf die Pausentaste klicken, wenn du noch Zeit benötigst, um deine Gedanken einzusammeln. Noch ein Wort zu deinen Gefühlen: Deine Gefühle spielen für das Finden deiner Gedanken eine sehr wesentliche Rolle. Sie helfen dir die Gedanken überhaupt zu erlauschen, die hinter diesen Gefühlen stecken. Schließ dazu am besten deine Augen und FÜHLE in den entsprechenden Moment, die stressvolle Situation. Benenn zunächst für dich: Um welches Gefühl handelt es sich, wenn ich Zeugin dieser Szene bin? Bin ich wütend, traurig, habe ich Angst oder sind meine Gefühle gemischt?  Nimm dir Zeit und Stille, um klar zu werden, was du fühlst und was du denkst. Manchmel stecken in einer einzigen Situation mehrere Arbeitsblätter... Nachdem du dein Arbeitsblatt ausgefüllt hast, kannst du nun mit der Untersuchung mit den 4 Fragen beginnen.

Today's session is about Relapse. How to cope with relapse, why we have them, and how to cope with them. There are many things that can trigger a relapse in an individual. Relapse is common and necessary to go forward. Relapse telling you you are actively working on your issues. Relapse is an opportunity to change things. Recovery is a Lifelong Journey. Relapses are deflection points of recovery. Each relapse makes you stronger, Do not mistake relapse with failure.  No, my friends, Think of it as a step forward in your recovery think of it as a positive coping mechanism; think of it as you facing your Anger, Your excessive habits Your anxiety Your craving Whatever attack it is, you are facing it You are accepting it and create a positive coping strategy.
