    Today on The Employer Brand Shop Talk podcast, we have a special episode for you! Instead of interviewing a practitioner from an external organization, I am joined by my colleague Erica. Erica has been part of The Employer Brand Shop team full time since June 2021 and, as the Employer Brand Content Manager, she has been instrumental at improving and expanding on all of the employer brand content creation services we offer. With a background in journalism and communications, she has a passion for finding and telling interesting stories. Within her role, Erica finds the stories of what it's actually like to work somewhere, what gets people excited about their work, and what makes it worth it. She then assists companies in sharing those stories with the world to help attract and retain talent. In this episode, we'll discuss The Great Resignation, what that means for your employer brand, and why it's happening. After a year of life changing social, economic, and political events, many people are really rethinking what work means to them and, as a result, are demanding better. This has major implications on employer brand because it has led to a candidate-driven market; today's candidates have options. Passionate about the future of careers and education, Chanèle is a Marketing Professor at Seneca College, an advisor for several organizations including Accelerate Her Future, Canadian Council for Youth Prosperity, and Humber College, and an accomplished employer brand and recruiting professional. Previously, she led talent brand at Capital One Canada and is currently working on Coursera's Talent Engagement team.     Welcome to season three of The Employer Brand Shop Talk Podcast! If you are a new listener, thank you so much for joining us and if you are a returning listener, thank you for tuning back in! My name is Natasha Makovora and I'll be taking over the hosting duties from my colleague Kaitlyn, who is now on maternity leave. In this episode, I'll share a bit more about myself and what you can expect in season three of The Employer Brand Shop Talk Podcast. My career has taken me on many paths including HR administration, learning and development, talent acquisition, and employee experience. After getting a taste of employer brand work during my stint in talent acquisition, I knew I wanted to be able to focus on this full time. Now, I am an employer brand consultant at The Employer Brand Shop focused on creating thoughtful employer brand and recruitment marketing strategies to help our clients engage with their employees and attract talent. In this season, we'll be interviewing even more employer brand pros to learn about their strategies and where they are investing their time and resources.
