Currently the Chief Technology Officer at Verusen, Andrew has led engineering and analytics teams for Groupon, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and project44. One year ago today we lost a pillar of the Halifax comedy scene and a good friend to many across the country. In memory of Andrew Vaughan - I am re-releasing an episode recorded last March - just before we lost Andrew, and our world changed forever. Andrew along with Travis Lindsay and Dan Hendricken had a great comedy podcast called Boys Club which is sadly no longer on the air waves. I was lucky enough part of two cross over episodes with Boys Club, this was one of them and the 3rd last boys club recorded. In honor of Andrew, Dan is selling Boys Club t-shirts for $25. All proceeds go to Andrew's father. Email your size and address, as well as an e-transfer of $25 to danhendricken@gmail.com. All Andrew Episodes: Ep. 76: Chatting with the Big Cat (Andrew Vaughan) Ep. 77: 12 Hour Livestream Highlights Ep. 91: The Anti-Christmas Special Ep. 97: Boytalksicated - A Crossover Episode Ep. 107: InTalksicated Comedy Live - April 2019 Ep. 109: Don't Read The Comments with Andrew Vaughan Ep. 144: Best Of 2019 Ep. 145 Pt. 1: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Comedy E p. 145 Pt. 2: Womansplaining Ep. 154: Inside The Boys Club Studio
Join us for a chat with Andrew Vaughan from Free Spirit Fund who explains how his performance has beaten so many other funds. Dan and Tom discuss the recent US market sell-off, companies getting back on their feet after a difficult 2020, and they ask if businesses that benefited from lockdown measures could now find it harder going. E-commerce group The Hut is about to join the UK stock market, so the podcast considers why everyone is excited about the business and some glaring red flags with the story. Do you agree that interest rates are less important when it comes to savings? Find out about why one bank has caused a stir with a new product. There is also a look at news from Royal Mail and the latest mortgage figures. Presented by Dan Coatsworth and Tom Sieber from AJ Bell and Shares
Buckle in, and take some notes!!! This week's guest is Halifax comedy veteran Travis Lindsay. We chat about the ecosystem of comedy, the fundamentals of starting stand-up, testing jokes, the impact of Andrew Vaughan and how we have been grieving his death, comedy scene dynamics, comedy classes, the “it factor” of comedy, personal bombs vs audience bombs, the benefits of over preparing, speaking up online and being your true authentic self. Ever wondered what home security tech looks like in 2019? Andrew Vaughan from Intelligent Home is back in the studio to talk about apps, CCTV, and sensors. Julie Cross is then in the hot seat for a first chat about the golf course estate, Connolly. Have you considered this family stronghold?
Today's episode sees our tech guru, Andrew Vaughan, back in the hot seat in what has to be one of our most enjoyable episodes, chatting everything about audio visual tech in the home in 2019. Can you guess what a fully equipped home cinema can cost these days? Shobana Patrick then pops in for a chat about the tiny and tightly-held south-of-the-river suburb of Attadale, where the homes are big, the views can be bigger, and the opportunities for a bargain have never been so pronounced.
Our newest expert, Andrew Vaughan, hops into the hot seat for the first time to discuss the world of home automation and smart home technology in 2019. Audio Visual, Security, and Disco Lights. What else could you need? Siobhan Micale, Willagee's #1 agent, then sits down for a really insightful chat about one of Leach Highway's bright stars.
