Day two you get to have a steak dinner with Gene and friends and talk to him about whatever you want to discuss. The guys breakdown their Vegas adventure, from the horrible flight to Vegas to the last night of debauchery. Along the way hear about the event, the music and of course meeting and talking with Gene Simmons. Along the way the guys spent time and partied with: Eddie Trunk, Brent Woods, Brent Fitz, Bruce Kulick, Lisa Kulick, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, Todd Kerns, PJ Farley, Jake E. Lee and of course a special late night appearance by SIOL HOF, Chris Jericho! This podcast is the fifth in the series 6 “Resilience” podcast series we recorded in Mitchell, SD (podcasts 1-5) and Crooks (Podcast 6), the backdrop was the extremely wet weather on 2019; at the time of recording the James River had frozen outside of it’s banks and there was every expectation of another wet summer. In this podcast, farmers Charlie Edinger, Daniel Harnisch, Craig Stehly and Bryce Rabenhorst discuss the ideas of resilience and soil structure in the context of their operations and the conversation also turns to the use of perennials in marginal areas. Charlie, Daniel, Craig and Bryce are joined by Kent Vlieger (facilitator) Brent Woods and Eric Barsness from the NRCS in South Dakota and by Sara Bauder from SDSU. If you’d like to our selected video material from these conversations, please visit SD NRCS’s 'Growing Resilience with Soil Health' playlist on YouTube. This podcast is the fourth in the series 6 “Resilience” podcast series we recorded in Mitchell, SD (podcasts 1-5) and Crooks (Podcast 6), the backdrop was the extremely wet weather on 2019; at the time of recording the James River had frozen outside of it’s banks and there was every expectation of another wet summer. In this podcast, farmers Charlie Edinger, Daniel Harnisch, Craig Stehly and Bryce Rabenhorst discuss salinity (a big issue in the James River Valley). Salinity is a multifaceted, long-term problem that needs understanding – the farmers talk about the use of perennials, livestock and the use of annuals to mitigate salinity, but it must be understood that there are no easy fixes. Young farmer, Bryce Rabenhorst asks his fellow farmers advice on how to include small grains into the rotation and keep the cash flow going. Charlie, Daniel, Craig and Bryce are joined by Kent Vlieger (facilitator) Brent Woods and Eric Barsness from the NRCS in South Dakota and by Sara Bauder from SDSU. It’s hard to believe that it was just over a year ago that Suzi Kory recorded her first songs with producer John Angus MacDonald of Canadian rockers The Trews. Since then, she has played the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, opening for LA Guns as well as having played a festival in Brazil ! In less then a year, Suzi has made a name for herself in Los Angeles as well as back home in Toronto and has Canadian Music insiders taking notice. As a mother of two teenage boys with a full-time job as a Customer Service Manager its hard to believe she still has time to be a Rockstar, but is she is proving how it can be done! Suzi is currently working with producer Brent Woods in Los Angeles on a full length album and has her sights set on no less then a Grammy come 2020. On this episode of She Rises, Host Giovanna Capozzaspeaks with Suzy Kory, member of the band the True’s and full-time customer service manager and mother of two. Suzy talks about how she became a rock star in her 40’s. When Suzy told her parents she wanted to be a performer at a young age, they were not at all open to that. When she got married and had kids, everything she had planned for herself got put to the wayside. You have to take the first step of making your path clear and taking small actions to achieve your goal. Suzy tells the story of how she met Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses. If she can achieve something people thought was crazy, everything else is within reach. Anything is possible if your faith, courage, and conviction is aligned in your soul. Suzy got to meet Steven Tyler and spend time with his entourage – this was when she realized she was manifesting these amazing experiences. People often tell her she’s so lucky, but she’s working constantly – people don’t see what goes on in the background. Whatever you plan can come back way better than your original plan. When you take a step forward in faith the universe gives you your desires and then some. You don’t have to take your passion on a public level, you can do it just for yourself. Tweetable Quotes Who we are is who we are, and our parents can’t change that about us. A little bit of our soul dies when we don’t honor our calling. When you make that realization that you are the one who decides where your life is going, that’s when all the doors open. When you’re fulfilling yourself, the rest of your life lights up. Join me as I have a man who's experienced more in his life than all of us put together!! Drew Rose was the singer of the 80's metal band Wildside who were the last band off the Strip to get a big deal before The Grunge Pac Man came along! Wildside was an American Rock/Metal band created in 1988 by founders Brent Woods, Drew Hannah, Benny Rhynedance. Originally called "Young Gunns", the 5 piece lineup included Drew Hannah (vocals), Brent Woods (lead guitar), Benny Rhynedance (rhythm guitar), Marc Simon (bass guitar), Jimmy D. (drums). The group played the clubs of Hollywood from 1988 thru 1990 when they were signed to Capitol Records under the charge of Hale Milgram. Slated to be "the next big thing" by the label, they immediately began recording their album. The band chose Van Halen Producer, Andy Johns to create their record. Recorded at Eddie Van Halen's home studio, Wildside was historically the first outsiders to use the famed "5150" recording studio. After a 1992 release of "Under The Influence",[1] and 2 years of solid touring, music was making a big change and Wildside was caught in the middle of it. Capitol Records was making changes to their lineup and both the label and the band agreed it was time to part. In 1994 a second album would be released under an independent label without Guitarist, Woods. Woods went on to join the Vince Neil project.
